The trio reconvene.

Sonic: You didn't tell me that you had a brother.

Y/n: He acts more like an enemy than a brother. 

Shadow: And he wants to destroy humanity?

Y/n: Yes. Humanity has treated us as slaves. We managed to break free. But now we have unleashed our own monster onto the world. Erwin will not stop until Humanity is wiped out.  

Sonic: Then we have to stop him!

Shadow: Agreed.  

Y/n: The best way to stop him is to get our hands on the rest of the emeralds.

The trio take off and find themselves in a jungle.

Y/n smelt a familiar scent.

Y/n: Ready yourselves!  

Suddenly raptor like humanoids appear from the bushes and attack the trio.

They stood no chance against the trio and were easily defeated.

Y/n: Erwin has our people looking for the emeralds. This isn't good.

Sonic: As long as we have a emerald. He can't use their full power.

Y/n: We should try to not have any of them fall into his hands.  Keep vigilance, there will be more.

They continued on their way.   They managed to find the emerald in a tree.

But before they could get it. Triceratops humanoids attacked. One slammed Y/n into a tree.   Another went to punch him in the face. But suddenly a hammer collided with the humanoid's head and knocked him out.

Y/n punched the one pinning him against the tree until he was unconscious.  

Sonic: Hey Amy.

Amy appears with her hammer in hand.

Amy: Looks like you boys need my help.

Shadow: Not really.

Amy pouts.

Y/n: I thank you. 

Amy: Some appreciation. Thanks! 

Shadow climbs the tree and grabs the emerald.

Shadow: We're done here.

Sonic: So we have two. And Eggman has one.

Y/n: With my brother sending his forces to search for them,nobody is safe.

Sonic: Well,we better get going then.

Y/n: Agreed. 

The group set off in search of more emeralds.

This leads them to a swamp.

Amy: Oh no! I got muck in my shoes.

Sonic: Me too.

Shadow: Would you two stop whining.

Y/n caught a whiff of Erwin's scent.

Y/n: Erwin. He's here.

Sonic: Do you think that he has an emerald?

Y/n: Without a doubt. 

They followed Y/n. They saw a encampment.  They managed to find a vantage point.  They could see two chaos emeralds in containers.

Sonic: They have two!

Y/n: That's not good.

Shadow: That makes five accounted for though. 

Y/n: True.

Suddenly. The two emeralds our heroes possessed began to react to the two in the camp.

Erwin noticed this. He got curious and took an emerald out of it's container. It began to move towards the heroes.

Erwin: There you are!

Erwin grabbed the emerald and stuffed it into a hip pouch. He sped off towards the heroes.

Y/n: He knows!

Y/n lunged from his hiding place and  clashed with Erwin.

Erwin: Thank you for bringing me the emeralds! It will be so much easier now!

Y/n: I won't let you have them, not without a fight.

Y/n landed a punch and knocked Erwin away. But sadly the fight was in vain.

The camp was alerted and Y/n and co were surrounded.  Sonic and Shadow couldn't do much. Their speed and strength was useless to the overwhelming power of the dinosaur army. 

The heroes were defeated in a matter of seconds.

Erwin grabbed the two emeralds that they had before. 

Erwin: Perfect. We are close.  With every emerald we grab,humanity's extinction draws closer.

Y/n struggled to get up.

Erwin approached him.

Erwin: Why do you even try? You know that nobody can help you defeat me.  These pitiful creatures that you have befriended, have fallen to our might. 

Y/n: Because. *groans* I can't let you kill humans. They are half of what we are. By killing them, YOU KILL HALF OF US ALL! 

The dinosaurs began to murmur and look at each other.

Erwin noticed the dissent and kicked Y/n in the face.

Erwin: ANY SINGLE ONE OF THEM COULD HAVE FREED US! WE HAD TO FREE OURSELVES. Don't worry brother. You can come back once you get over yourself. But for now, see you around.

Erwin knocked Y/n out with a kick to the face.  

The situation does not look good for our heroes. How will they overcome this setback?
