Chapter 4

When Amy woke up, she headed to the pantry to get some breakfast. She found some prattles and decided that she could have some for breakfast too. There wasn't many foods that Amy recognized.

Livvy soon came and helped her out telling her what was breakfast.
Amy ate her breakfast and went to play with Rufflefins.

"Aww. Do you like that Finny?" Amy asked as he purred.

Later in the day, Sophie came by and Amy suspected the worst. But instead there just wasn't any news at all.

Sophie tried to convince her that they were working hard but it didn't work. She knew that they were struggling to find her parents.

She sighed. "How soon do you think it'll take to find them?"

Sophie squirmed. "I don't know." She confessed . "I want to find them so badly but the Collective just tell me to do my school and don't worry about it." She curled her hand into a fist.

" It is important right? " I asked.

"Of course!" She said. "The Collective just doesn't want me to worry about it. "

"But shouldn't you? I mean if you're gonna find them, you need all the help you can get." I said my mind reeling with an idea. They needed help. Why couldn't she help them?

" Yeah. But it'll be okay. We 'll find them, we'll erase your memories and everything will be okay. " Sophie said confidently.

"But you should have a lot of extra help." I pressed. Before I could change my mind I said, "I could help."

" No. Not going to happen. Ever. " Sophie said firmly.

"But-"

" Don't but me! " Sophie said placing her hand on her hips . " You are not going to help look for them. It's too dangerous."

"Now you're just acting like an adult." I grumbled.

Sophie laughed. "I may sound like one, but I'm not one."

Amy glared at her.

"Ok, ok. I'll go. But I'm not even gonna think about you helping." Sophie said starting to pull out her home crystal.

"Can you at least talk to the Collective please?" I pleaded.

Sophie shook her head. "I already told you, you aren't going to go out and risk your life to find them."

I stuck my tongue out at Sophie.

After Sophie left, Livvy took me to walk around Atlantis.

"Look! It's the Unity Fountain." She said pulling me forward.

It was a fountain with an elf and a human standing next to each other. On the scepter that the human was holding there was an odd looking symbol.

"What is that?" I asked pointing to the symbol.

Livvy's brow furrowed in confusion. "Hmm. I don't know. I guess I just never noticed it."

I nodded.

We got some lushberry juice and headed home.
