"Come on, Clemont. I'm starving!" Ash sighed, his forehead resting up against the side of the table that belonged to the booth he was sitting at.

Serena, who was sitting next to Ash in the booth, giggled and said, "Just wait a little longer. I'm sure it'll be done soon."

"I need it now. Not soon." Ash frowned, his stomach growling.

"Pika, Pi." Pikachu sweat dropped as he watched his trainer.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Clemont sighed as he rushed to the booth and set down two plates, one for Ash and the other for Bonnie.

"FINALLY!" Ash exclaimed. He picked up the fork next to him and stabbed the food that was set on the plate in front of him, throwing the top of fork into his mouth. He began to eat.

"Thanks big brother." Bonnie grinned and did the same actions Ash did, but a lot slower.

"I'll be right back with your food Serena, sorry for the wait."

"No, it's fine." Serena sweat dropped and laughed, "Ash needed to be served anyways."

"Yeah, you're right." Clemont sweat dropped along with her. He headed back towards the kitchen, bringing back two plates with him.

"Here you go Serena." Clemont said, handing her a plate.

"Thanks." Serena smiled and placed the plate in front of her as everyone else continued to eat their dinner.

"Thanks so much Clemont!" Ash thanked, slouching back in the seat.

"Thank you! That was delicious!" Serena flashed a smile.

"Yeah!" Bonnie added, almost jumping up from her seat.

"Aw, thanks guys." Clemont gave a nervous smile as he rubbed the back if his neck.

Once everyone was done with dinner, they all headed back over to the front desk of the Pokèmon Center and asked for two rooms, but it turned out there was only one room left, but with two beds, so they took it.

"Hey," Bonnie looked up at everyone and then gave a quick glare at Serena. "Is it alright if I decide to share a bed with Clemont?"

Now that Bonnie finally knew and was sure that she was correct about Serena's crush on Ash, she found this as one of the best opportunities there are out there... Other than actually getting Ash and Serena together of course. Too bad she couldn't too because she definitely wanted them to be together. She even planned out how they would confess in her head, making her fangirl at random moments. Especially since she noticed how much Serena actually cared for Ash.

"Wait. What?" Serena looked over at Bonnie, her thoughts running wild. "Why would you want to-"

"I don't know." Bonnie shrugged. "I guess I kinda missed my brother."

"Missed me? Why in the world would you-" Clemont started, but was then stopped due to Bonnie grabbing her big brothers wrist and pulled him down towards the rooms so that he couldn't finish his sentence.

"What did Bonnie mean by that?" Ash blinked, looking over at the two siblings.

"I-I don't know." Serena said, looking over at siblings as well and saw Bonnie take the key to the room that she took from Clemont and swiped it through the device that scanned the card and the light blinked green.

Bonnie then grinned and opened the door, her brother following.

"Oh, well. I it doesn't really matter anyways. I guess that means we're sharing a bed?" Ash smiled, looking back over at Serena.

"Oh- uh... Y-yeah." Serena said, her face flushing a bright red.

Everyone finally settled down in the room and changed into their pajamas, or, their nightwear.

"Goodnight everyone." Ash said as he raised his hand up to ceiling, stretching.

"Goodnight." Clemont replied, pulling the covers over him.

"G'night!" Bonnie happily said and laid back down the the other side of the bed, a smirk spreading across the girl's face as her plan was going in the direction she planned and wanted it to go in.

"G-goodnight." Serena stuttered and laid down on the bed, pulling covers over her.

Serena felt Ash lay down next to her, her cheeks turning pink.

Time passed by as Serena and Ash stayed in the same position, both of them not able to fall asleep until eventually five minutes passed by and Ash turned around to face Serena's back.

"Serena, are you still awake?" Ash asked in a whisper.

Serena jolted up slightly from the sudden voice entering her thoughts.

"O-oh. Yeah." Serena said, still looking over the side of the bed and not wanting to look back at Ash. "You too then?"

"Yeah." Ash sighed.

A compacted silence then made its way in between Ash and Serena, the whole room becoming silent for another minute.

"You asleep yet?" Ash asked, severing the silence and looked back at Serena's back.

Serena giggled and said, "I won't be able to sleep if you keep asking."

"Oh, right, sorry." Ash frowned and buried his head into his pillow, trying to be as quiet as possible.

Another few minutes passed by and Ash could soon hear Serena's light breathing become serene, telling Ash that she was now asleep, but he wasn't for sure, so he whispered, "Serena?"

No answer and only Serena's soft breathing responded.

Ash sighed and continued to lay his head on his pillow.

Another five minutes passed by, silence now settling across the room, and Ash finally thought he was finally going to fall asleep when he heard Serena whimper in her sleep.

Ash blinked a couple times and looked back at Serena and saw that she seemed to fine, but then she whimpered again, grabbing the sheet that covered her and closed her eyes shut.

"Serena?" Ash asked, waiting for a response, but it never came and instead a small scream was giving from Serena which made Ash's heart leap up in his chest and he sat back up.

"Serena." Ash said again, no able to see that a tear was falling down her cheek.

"Serena!" Ash yelled in a whisper, taking Serena shoulder and started to shake her.

"Ash!" Serena yelled out in her sleep in a frantic voice and grasped the sheet tightly again. "Ash!"

"Serena! Serena, I'm right here!" He yelled, shaking Serena again.

Serena's eyelids snapped open and Ash stopped shaking her, silence returning as another tear fell down Serena's cheek.

"Serena, are you alright?" Ash asked, removing his hands from her shoulders.

Serena slowly sat up and looked over at Ash, her hand hovering over her heart.

"Did you have a nightmare or someth-" Ash stopped as he felt two arms wrap around his neck and Serena's forehead being pressed into his shoulder and started to cry.

"S-Serena?" Ash asked hesitantly, still shocked by the sudden hug.

"I thought you..." Serena trailed off and continued to cry into Ash's shoulder.

"You thought I what?" Ash asked, finally returning the hug and wrapped his arms around her waist.

"I... I thought you- you left me... I thought you died."

Ash's eyes widened from hearing this, his hearing seeming to stop at the same time.

"W-what do you mean?" Ash asked, his voice only a murmur.

"I- I dreamt that you... That you- died." Serena mumbled and tightened the hug around Ash, her heart beginning to ache.

"Serena..." Ash looked back down at Serena, only the back of her head able to be seen since the rest of her face was buried into his shoulder. Ash took one of this arms and lifted it up. He then moved his hand over towards Serena and placed his hand on her honey blond hair.

Serena felt this and she released herself from the hug, lifting her head up from Ash's shoulder and looked over at Ash's eyes were staring into hers with a smile plastered into his face.

"I'd never leave you." Ash said, moving a strand of hair and folding it over her ear. "Even if we were miles apart. Remember that, okay?"

Serena felt another tear escape her eyelid and fall down her cheek.

"Y-yeah. Okay." Serena said through inhales and hastily wiped away the cheeks.

Ash then placed his hand back to the back of Serena head and pushed her back into a hug. Serena was slightly shocked by this, but returned the hug by wrapping her arms around him again.

They stayed in this hug until Ash could hear Serena's gentle breaths breathe up against his neck and her arms sleepily fell back down besides her.

Ash carefully took Serena's shoulders and slowly set her down onto the bed, making sure to place her head on the pillow. He then took the covers and pulled them over Serena, pulling them just over her shoulders.

But then Ash paused and looked down at Serena. She looked so peaceful. Ash felt his heart seem to skip a beat as his cheeks began to heat up for some odd reason that Ash couldn't point out. He then felt his stomach seem as if it was being churned, making him even more worried in why he was acting this way, but he ignored it and laid down next to Serena, looking at her once more and closed his eyes, finally able to fall asleep, but his dreams would be of Serena, confusing him the next morning when he would wake up and remember them.

This continued on for the day after that, and the day after that, and so on. He kept dreaming and experienced these feelings over and over again as he hanged around Serena, confusing him even more by the day. It was as if someone was playing with his heart and bouncing it up and down like a basketball.

I hope you guys liked the first one shot! 😊 I certainly had fun writing it since it was my first one shot and it was totally new to me.
This one shot actually exceeded the a thousand words and reached 1,613 words instead. I guess I got carried away. 😝
