Serena POV

Today is the very first school day of the year. The morning sun shined bright through my squared cleared window making my tidy bedroom lighten up, as hot beams of rays darted to my eyes making it mount up and affect my sight. I swift my arm in a acute position, covering with my bare hand while I rose up from my velvety king sized bed making my body controllably stretch, yawned and arms crack in my joints. From my right, a flapped sound came to right as Fletchling flew from my door as it landed on my head by pecking in my face which of course pained me a lot. That stupid bird.

"Serena, Time for breakfast"

As usual, my mom called me from downstairs for breakfast, her voice making it's way to my room so I immediately got off from my bed that I was sleeping on throughout the whole night. Stretched my arms wide in the air with a loud tiring yawn and went out of my bedroom and into the bathroom. Standing next to bath sink and gazing into a oval mirror, I began grabbing my electric toothbrush from a cup and picked oral-b toothpaste as i began firmly brushing my teeth cleaned, after some minuets go by of mouth washing.

I exited my bathroom and went back to my bedroom, getting myself ready by carefully brushing my silky honey blond waist-length hair, trying to decorate into ponytail as bangs hanged both sides, after putting on my casual clothes. Which were fully black tight top with a white collar around my neck. A red skirt up from my lean stomach till the end of my thighs, wearing underneath I wore a pink torso near to black long socks that went up to my thighs and last were black tennis shoes which had a pink pokeball logo printed on the side. When I was completely done. I studied at myself in the mirror to check if everything is fitted perfectly.

I stepped out of my tidy bedroom through opened door and head straight downstairs reaching to the ground floor, soon entering in the kitchen where I met my mom placing my breakfast on table as I sat down on a comfy chair while having my own breakfast on the table in front with Fletchling having it's own food beside me, as soon as I was about to have my tasty breakfast meal, a vibration came from my skirt pocket, I slid my hand in and took out my phone, looking into it to see who messaged me and it was my best friend, Dawn, sending me a text.

"Meet you at the bus stop." Dawn texted.

I unlocked my phone and texted "I'm on my way." back, safely placing back in my skirt pocket.

After finishing my delicious breakfast meal. I quickly said goodbye to my mum and hurried out the front door of my house, shutting it behind and now heading to the bus stop, walking down the quite street. When I arrived in a short amount of time, I saw my friend at the bus stop. She notices my presence as a welcoming smile formed on her face making her cheeks dimpled with blush of red.

"Hey Serena." Dawn greeted in a cheerful tone of her true character and gave me a warm hug when I arrived in front.

"Hi Dawn" hugging back with a wide sweet smile on my face and departed away, facing to her. "How's your holiday in Sinnoh been?" I questioned. It had been months since we last saw each other after we had our summer holidays.

"it's was great!" Dawn beamed as stars formed across her face and eyes.

Whilst we were having a conversation, my other friend May was walking towards us, Who seems to be very excited about something which made me and Dawn confused of her positive expression.

"Hey guys did you know that we are getting a new kid, who is my cousin." May replied as she arrived in front of us.

"WHAT!" Me and Dawn shouted in unison.

We were both shocked that we didn't know May had a cousin, who is the new kid coming to our school. Then a familiar voice came.

"Morning ladies, how you all doing." Gary interrupts us as we now face him standing before us.

"Shut up Gary and stop your charming to us." Dawn retorted, annoyed of Gary's action, narrowing her eyebrows at him.

"Okay, okay, okay I'll stop, geez." Gary spoke, calming Dawn by motioning his hands.

"Hey Gary did you know that we are getting a new student." I asked, trying to move on a different topic, ignoring Dawn's glare at Gary who forms a smile on his face.

"Of course, my gramps told me that he will be here today, and also I know him too." Gary replied, pointing at himself at his chest.

For some reason, I was really excited on meeting this new kid who was May's cousin, but I don't know why Though, maybe there's something special about this new kid.

"You do, so what does he look like?." Me and Dawn questioned in unison again.

Gary smirks at us "You have to wait and see at school, but I'll give you a clue, he is a strong trainer and he beated me in battle."

When he said that. Me and Dawn were getting really excited on meeting this new kid. But I wonder how strong is he.

"Is he stronger than any other trainers?" I questioned by narrowing my eyebrows curiously. Wanting to know more about this new kid which I'm really intrigued.

Gary nods in response. "yep, he has many strong pokemon around regions, like Kanto, Johto, Hoeen, Sinnoh and Unova." He paused for second as a wide smile spread across his face "Also he is catching pokemon in Kalos aswell." Gary answers.

"Really" I said in a surprise tone with my eyebrows raised.

With a nod "Yes and he will be there before we get to school." Gary said.

Finally the bus arrived, stopping for us as we all entered the vehicle. We spotted Iris casually sitting down on one of the seats in a middle row. I got on the bus and sat down next to Dawn. While May sat next to Gary in front of us near Iris.

We then started to talk until Dawn talked to me that catches my attention.

"Hey Serena have you broken up with Calem, yet" Dawn asked me with a frown.

I looked at for her moment and finally shook my head by saying no, but I really wanted to say yes, but that would mean I would lie to my best friend.

"WHAT, YOU DIDN'T!" Dawn exclaimed, getting some students to look her. Dawn notice this and lowered her voice to me "I told you to break up with him and go for someone else."

I signed silently, looking down at my own lap "I know, but..I don't know what will happen to me when I break up with him." I said in a low sad tone.

"Oh Serena" Dawn replied softly until she spoke again, changing another topic. "Hey, what about that other kid, who saved you at camp in kanto region. When you were a little."

"Oh, I don't know where he is, and i think he won't be coming to this school Dawn, it was years ago, I bet he's forgotten about me." I replied, still looking down at the ground as my lips slightly bend upward.

"I think, he might not have forgotten about you Serena. Because you remember him and I think he will remember you too." Dawn spoke, encouraging my confidence.

I turn my head up from the ground, looking at her eyes and smiled, ignoring the negativity.

"Thanks Dawn."

"No probs Serena." She smiles back with a wink.

Then May and Gary interrupted. Turning their head around, looking at both of us.

"What you guys talking about?" May questioned.

"Yeah, what are you guys talking about?" Gary questioned too, same as May.

Me and Dawn looked at each other then to our friends saying "nothing" to them and shook our heads.

After some conversation. We finally arrived at school as the bus parked near another bus stop and let's the students out to go the playground where we saw our group of friends with other students around us.

We arrived in front of them as we started talking and greet to each other in a group. There were Misty, Drew, Paul, Iris, Cilan and Clemont.

I talked to the girls while the boys talked their own, probably boy talk.

"Hey guys have you heard about the new kid." Misty asked with a smile.

Dawn nods in response "Yeah, Gary told us he is a strong trainer and he is also may's cousin." She informed to the whole group.

When she said that, They all went shock except for me, Gary, May and paul who didn't even care but was interested that he was a strong trainer, maybe he will battle him soon when he meets him. It will be great match.

All our friends started to ask question about the new kid until someone snaked an arm around me, hugging around my waist and kissed me on the lip unexpectedly. My friends saw this and some were definitely not happy.

"Hey babe, how you doing." Calem said in a flirt tone after departing away the kiss, still wrapped his arm around me.

"Oh, hi Calem, I'm fine. How are you doing."  I said with my cheeks red. Embarrassed about the kiss that was in front of my friends.

"I'm doing fine babe, you look gorgeous today." I blushed even more of the word 'gorgeous'

"Thank you Calem" I replied to my boyfriend. However, Dawn interrupted us and she did not look positive one bit.

"You know Calem, why can't you break up with Serena" She said furiously, placing her hand on hip.

The reason why Dawn was mad because of the of way Calem did to me In front of her and my friends who looked pissed off.

Dawn is protective and is my best friend, but she hates my boyfriend Calem because of his attitude towards them. But me, he acts inappropriate around me.

My friends don't like him because of the way he does to me. He touches my body below my waist which some of my friends try and stop him while others were angry at him.

Before when I started high, Calem use to be nice when he was young and loved battling with others, but since he became the best battler of the school making him the champion. That's when he changed himself from good to bad.

I was his girlfriend at that time and he was being inappropriate around me by trying to kiss me but he went too far and then he touched inappropriate places around my body Which I did not like it. When I try stop him, he starts to force me and hit me. I wanted to stop but couldn't have the willpower.

I also found a condom in his pocket in the summer when we went to the beach with my friends, some of them were mixed with shocked and angry. Dawn, May, Misty and all my friends were really angry at him but we can't stop because he is the best battler in the school.

Paul, Gary and some of my friends tried battling him, but he was too strong because he had a mega evolved pokemon. Also Dawn knew this at the start and she always protects me from Calem whenever he is doing something bad or worse on me.

Now back to the reality as Calem spoke first in defence.

"I'm her boyfriend, I can do whatever I want." Calem asked in a angry tone at Dawn.

"HEY! don't act like that to my friend." May interrupts. Who was really mad, wanting to punch Calem.

Calem grins at her. "what are you going to do about it, huh, you can't beat me in battle. you are weak and all of you are rubbish." He said, pointing at the whole group.

I saw my friends clenching their fist in anger, showing frustration towards him causing Calem to grin once again like he was enjoying insulting them.

I wanted to help my friends, but my boyfriend will be mad at me. Dawn and May were showing more anger at him.

May stepped up. "You think we're rubbish! well you have a mega evolved Pokemon you use every-time in battles. Also our Pokemon are stronger than your other pokemons. " she shouted.

Dawn, Gary, Drew stood behind May while all my friends nodded. Calem laughs at them.

"What, you think your Pokemon are stronger than mine, think again." Calem asked, He glanced at my friends then towards me. "Hey serena, I'm going, want to come me and get away from these losers. " he said. Offering his hand out to me.

I wanted to come, but I refused, shaking my head saying no.

Calem came towards me. "What did you say. " he growled, instantly changing his expression to mad, and began coming closer until Dawn and May interrupted once again.

"She said no so leave her alone." Dawn said, Being protective.

"Yeah, leave her alone Calem. " May said. Also being protective as Dawn and all my friends came to support me, standing beside me.

Calem snorts. "Huh you think all of you are going to stop me, not a chance." He said and quickly grabbed my wrist; holding it tightly by making me feel pain until May came, breaking us apart.

"She said no, so stop what your doing to her." May shouted loud, releasing Calem hand away from my wrist which was now red.

Suddenly, Calem turned to face her and started to punch at my friend May. Who tried to block it with her hand.

my friends shouted her name while I closed my eyes shut, not wanting to see the view.

But, there was nothing, no sound so I slowly opened my eyes and saw a fingerless hand touching Calem's wrist, trying to stop the punch at May just in time.

Everyone signed in relief for May safety, But I was the only one staring at the boy who had a raven hair, wearing the same clothes as Calem but different. He wore grey perfectly fit trousers, red and black sneakers and a red baseball cap with a white semi-circle printed in front.

I slid my eyes and saw his full tanned face which had z marks on both cheeks making my head tingle like a bell, I looked closer and soon my expression went from curious to shocked with my body heating up.

Quickly, The boy pushed Calem to the floor making him grunt in pain. When he did this, everyone in the playground crowded around. Most saying it was a fight.

I looked at the raven haired boy who was helping May then he looked back at Calem who got up from ground and walks towards him with a angry face.

I was starting to get really worried for him, not Calem, but the raven haired boy.
