"Key stone respond to my heart, beyond mega evolution. Mega evolve!" Alain spoke out, touching it with two forefinger and raises his arm upwards letting the evolution light lined out as charizard necklace glows and came too as they both connect, connecting their hearts.

In the stands, there were shock students as they see another mega evolution but this one was different than Ash's Charizard. Then it changed into a loud cheers and roars coming across each side from the stand with people jumping out their seats, cheering loud for each trainer's names.

With the gang, there were eyes widens as they saw Alain's mega evolution. They didn't know that he had one which was a double surprise of a event.

"He can mega evolve too" Gary exclaimed.

"I got to say but yeah, he does he seems like a strong trainer." Misty said.

"No need to worry Ash has got this" Dawn said with an ensuring smile.

"You got that right. My cuz will beat him." May say, encouraging her friends around and started cheering for her cousin.

Serena was not focusing or getting the attention from her friends instead she was on Ash. A worried swelled inside as she kept her fist close to her chest "be careful Ash" she murmured.

On the battlefield, the evolution has now ended with lights turning on as it revealed a different type of Charizard. A black coloured with blue flames coming from its mouth with red bull eyes.

Ash grinned; knowing how strong Alain's Charizard, which is why the harder the battle, the more fun it will be.

He looks at Greninja who glances slightly with a nodded.

"Greninja. LET'Z GO" Ash called, lifting his arm up in the air while Greninja does the same with other arm.

The crowd now focus on Ash and Greninja with cheers and roars calling the names. Alain formed a smile as he remembers the time when he first battled him before. "Let's see what you got"

Suddenly a water tornado blasted up covering whole of Greninja inside which soon disappeared revealing a new form of Greninja with water tornado going to it's back forming a big ninja shuriken.

Ash and Greninja stand tall at the same position, looking straight at their opponent. The feeling of excitement was exploring through the battlefield and loud roars were heard from the side.

Ash spoke first "now Greninja let's show them our real power. Use cut!"

Greninja instantly takes out a blue glowing sword that looked like sharp daggers from the side and runs fast towards charizard who gets ready for the attack.

"Dragon claw" Alain commanded, forming his hand as a tight fist, punching the oxygen,

Charizard obeyed it's trainer with green glowing from it's claws and starts making a claw bigger with wind rushing out and fly's straight at Greninja with no mercy.

When they move simultaneously, their attacks collided causing thunder sparks around them, then go back to back, fighting everything they got. Ash was visualising and copying Greninja's moves, he has used some his strength, until he swings his arm with Greninja landing a hit on the belly making charizard slide back.

"Use aerial ace" Ash shouted.

Greninja dashed with white glows from both of it's thin frog arms and jumps straight towards Charizard but Alain countered it.

"Use thunder punch"

At this, A thunderous yellow wave covered from charizard claws, lifting it upwards and pulls back for power and rises it forward, smashing Greninja body hard which did a lot of damage since water types are weak against electric, as it stops the aerial ace.

After the attack, Greninja flew back and crashes the ground with thunder sparks spreading through the body. A shock of pain went through Ash like a bullet, holding his body but held the agony scream. He had to stay strong and stay with Greninja, winning this battle for both of them, otherwise he will lose.

"Pika Pi" Pikachu responded with a concern face at it's trainer.

In the stand there was worried and shock coming from Ash's friends but one person was worried the most which was Serena, terror was in her eyes watching Ash getting the pain from Greninja's attack. she wanted to stop the match so he won't get another one, but no, this was Ash ketchum she was talking about, the brave, confident boy that she was been saved from summer camp. Also there was one encouragement that kept repeating through her mind, that was 'don't give up...until it's over'. She knew he won't give up that easily because that's what who he is right now, the person she admired first and loved.

Ash ignored the pain and commanded next, trying to win this battle.

"Come on" he encouraged his pokemon which Greninja got up with one knee after the other, there was still sparks coming from the body but ignored it, proceeding on the battle.

The frog met Ash since he arrived in kalos and began to like him, not as it's trainer but a friend. the reason why he left others was because they didn't show that much love except for him. When the syncro emerged. Greninja felt so much power rising above, but it didn't want that except it wanted love, determination and perseverance from Ash. he wanted to fight and be with him until this very end.

"Let's not give up Greninja; we can do this, together. Use double team" Ash commanded with a fist pump as his heart was beating rapidly, feeling the ecstasy of the battle.

Immediately Greninja dash towards charizard forming copied of itself, doing the same movement.

"Oh no you don't, Charizard use flamethrower" Alain commanded.

A spit of blue fire came from it's jaw mouth and continued doing it by hitting all the Greninja's with black smoke but when it cleared there wasn't any sign.

"Now greninja use Ariel ace" Ash commands raising his voice loud.

With one swift movement, Greninja appeared before Charizard, quickly forming a white glow from it's leg, lifting it up and hit's dead on charizard head which made the fire/dragon fall to the ground with immense force cracking the ground as Greninja lands gracefully with both feet.

There was a loud crowd, screaming across the area while the gang kept on cheering for him even Serena having smile on her face but then the crowd went down when charizard got back up, not ending the fight.

"I got to hand it to you Alain, your Charizard has gone stronger, the last we met" Ash commented.

Alain nodded from the praise "thanks, your Greninja has gotten better indeed. But were not losing this, Charizard use dragon claw"

Charizard claws turned green with raw power as gust of wind blew out it's surrounding and flyed straight towards Greninja.

"Greninja use cut now!"

Ash responded. Greninja forms the cuts from it's frog hands and instantly hit the dragon claws which blocked the attack then they went straight head on with all their power and speed, glaring at each other intensively.

Alain looked on to find an opening while Ash looked at Greninja, there was a little pain coming from his hand because of Charizard power but that won't stop him from giving up. Soon the battle broke off as two Pokemon made space from each other until...

"Now let's end this. Charizard use blast burn!" Alain called making it the final attack.

Charizard flew up in the air before descending quickly down by spinning it's body in full degree and punches it's fist at the ground making it crack open with spits of fire coming out heading straight to Greninja.

"Greninja lets do this. WATER SHURIKEN!" Ash shouted with all his might from his lungs and simultaneously copies the move.

Greninja grabs a hold of the shuriken from it's back and throws it in the air, making it 10X bigger with an orange colour as it spins around.

The crowd were watching in amazement from this even the gang also Alain, knowing the last time they battle was like this.

However, when the blast burn went close to Greninja who was about to counter attack. But it was too late. the blast burn lands directly to it's opponent making all the smoke, risen up the area blowing across the gym with people covering their face and get in to safety.

When the smoke cleared up, the trainers, referee and people were looking closely if greninja was fainted but....there was no sign of the frog when the smoke cleared up, revealing a plain battlefield.

Alain became of confused of where Greninja hid then looks directly at Ash, who had a grin plastered on the face. Which made him curious until he finally realised what he meant, it was wasn't an attack, it was decoy.

He looked up quickly with his eyes started to widen, there he saw Greninja with the orange shuriken still spinning up in the air looking straight at Charizard as it throws the orange spinning water shuriken going straight to Charizard.

Alain didn't have any time to command causing the water shuriken hit charizard who scream in pain and agony with a big smoke coming up.

The students and gang looked carefully inside the smoke and that when they found Charizard lying on the floor with swirly eyes.

"Charizard is unable to battle, Greninja wins which mean the match goes to Ash Ketchum!" referee spoke out motion his hand by pointing at him.

The crowd stood up from their chairs and clapped even the gang after a great battle which was superbly splendid to watch.

Alain walked towards his charizard with a smile, he really loved having a battle with Ash but this one was better than the rest.

When arriving he crouched into charizard level "you did great" he said, petting it and returns the dragon into it's pokeball then looked over at Ash who was praising to Greninja with pikachu on the shoulder, as he now walks towards him.

"Great battle Ash" he said, which Ash turned round to face him with a smile.

"it sure was Alain,"

The two trainers gave each other smiles and shake their hands in sportsmanship, the gang looked on even Serena who had a smile seeing her crush winning another match.

Gary glanced over the shoulder to Serena then Ash as he forms a smirk with Dawn who noticed this.

"Hey Gary" she whispered.

"Yeah" Gary mumbled trying not to get attention from the others.

"You know that Serena is smiling at Ash, right"

"Yeah i know, wait minuet. Are you thinking what I'm think?"

"i bet you do" Dawn secretly said, sliding her eyes at Serena then to Ash as a wide smile glued on her face "it's about time, to get these two together."
