Snow In
"How long is it going to be like... this?" Serena turned around, her vest ruffling behind her.
Clemont fixed his glasses and stared back up at her. "I actually... don't know. Tried to call everyone at the party, too, but there wasn't a signal."
"But you have to know, big brother!" His younger sister tugged at his jumper. "We can't be stuck here forever!"
The boy with the recognizable marked cheeks came up to the group with persevering look. "I'm sure we'll find a way out, Bonnie. Has anyone checked the windows yet?"
"Yep," Clemont scratched at his blond hair. "Closed shut with snow."
"What about the backdoor?" He suggested. "If there is one, that is."
"Haven't had time to check for that one."
"Sweet, I'll go check then!" Ash gave another large grin and ran towards the back of the cabin, his footsteps easily heard from the weak wooden floor.
Serena sighed, sinking down into an old rocking chair near the front door. "I hope he finds something."
Bonnie giggled joyfully randomly saying, "Hey, it's alright. If he can't find anything we could always break the wall!" The young girl demonstrated with a short punch, her tongue sticking out the side of her pursed lips.
"That wouldn't be the brightest idea, Bonnie." Clemont landed a hand on his younger sister's shoulder. "That could only cause snow to fall in, making it more difficult for us to get out and... uh, lower the temperature." He looked around. "And it's already cold as is."
"Aw, man." Bonnie crossed her arms in dismay.
Ash came back from the other side of the cabin and tried his best to make a face that showed some happiness while at the same time not giving the group false hope.
"The backdoor is, uh, blocked by the snow, too." He scratched the back of his head.
Everyone frowned.
"All we did was stop in this cabin for one night!" Bonnie squirmed around on the floor.
"I know right?" Serena stood up. "Don't forget that someone also forgot the coats."
Ash looked down at the floor and lightly bit at his lip as a small source of punishment. But the attitude he got from Serena was more than enough.
"Do you think anyone at the party will notice?" Serena tried to change the subject, noticing Ash's demeanor.
"I'm sure they will eventually." Ash sweat dropped.
"What should we do in the meantime?" Clemont asked, looking around at the rest of the group.
Bonnie's face lit up as she continued to lay on the ground. "We should play tic-tac-toe!"
As much as the group struggled with the idea of such a ridiculous game, they played with a marker and a crumpled piece of paper that Clemont kept crammed in his pocket whenever he came up with a design for a new gadget.
They played for ten minutes, most of them always ending up in a tie.
He drew an X next to her O. "Tie." He moreover mumbled it.
"Again?" Bonnie asked.
Ash nodded to her.
"Guys, can we at least try to do something else?" Serena asked.
Everyone stared up at Serena as they continued to lay on the floor playing tic-tac-toe. She stood there with her arms crossed, her hands trying to reach for her shoulders to keep them warm.
"I guess." Clemont stood up with her and rubbed the back of his head. He noticed she was cold. "Do you need a blanket?" He took off his backpack and began to scavenge through it before pulling out a blue blanket. It wasn't much, but it had to do.
Clemont walked up to her and placed the blanket around her shoulders.
"Thank you." Serena tried to smile, trying not to look too upset over the situation they were still in.
Ash felt a small pinch in the stomach when he watched Clemont place the blanket over Serena's shoulders. It was enough for him to notice, but not enough for him to understand why. He'd been feeling weird feelings like this around Serena for a while now.
"We should be trying to come contact someone again." Clemont suggested.
Serena smiled, feeling a bit more assured.
Ash stood up. "Don't worry, Serena, I'll go check around again. Maybe the back door has cleared a bit."
"Yeah," she nodded, "okay." Her smile widened.
A fuzzy, warm feeling replaced the pinching in Ash's stomach.

Clemont tried calling everyone again with no answer while Ash checked the back door and back windows, double checking it twice by maybe kicking or punching it a few times to see if the snow would fall down. None of the efforts gave a wanted final product.
Serena was back to her original mood and sat on the floor with Bonnie, letting the small girl try and braid her hair.
"I'm sorry, Serena." Ash tried to comfort her.
"It's fine." She looked back at him and told him, "All that matters is that you tried your best."
Yet right after telling him this, there was a strange sound coming from him one of the windows of the cabin. They all stared and watched as the snow from the window fell down from it. Gloved hands could be seen. Someone was digging at the snow.
Ash ran towards the window. A face came into view.
"Dawn?!" Ash stumbled back a bit.
She waved with a smile on her face, her face cold with reddened cheeks and a plum for a nose.
She yelled to them, "Hi!" It was muffled. "Everyone's here with me!" She pointed with her thumb to the other girls in the background behind her. All of them were bundled in large winter clothing.

Took them a while, but soon the team of girls (Dawn, May, Iris, and Misty) were able to dig all the snow out of the way for the gang inside the cabin to get out through one of the windows.
"Thank you." Serena tried to thank them all.
"You're very much welcome," one of the girls in the very back replied a little bitterly.
Ash looked back at this person and practically yelled back, "Iris, how in the hell," but was interrupted.
"I did it for you, dumbass." Iris looked at Ash with what looked like pure anger as her hands stayed crossed in front of her.
She didn't like the cold too much.
Everyone explained to Ash, Bonnie, Serena, and Clemont that they heard the knocking on the windows and doors made by Ash as he tried to knock down the snow.

Later that day, they all arrived at the place where the Christmas party was taking place. Gifts were exchanged of all sizes. But the most notable gift was the one from Ash that he had given to Serena. It was a decorated, folded card. It quite simply asked if she would like to go to prom with him later in the following year. It was the best he could do in the form of asking a girl out.
Serena showed all the girls the card later that day and they celebrated by fangirling the rest of the night away.

Requested by @HunterHelmig
THE REQUEST:
"A no Pokémon snow in."
&
"The whole xy gang who get snowed in on there way to somewhere for a Christmas party or something. With the sinnoh, hoenn and kanto party members at the party"
❆- I added Iris into the story because I thought it'd be a nice little gag because of her fear of ice types and how she hates cold weather.
Also, here's the new cover for Shadow of the Aura Guardian:
The only problem with this book is that I can't find an opening to it =u= (Can't find a good way to start chapter 1).
I write a paragraph, delete it, start over, repeat.
Does anyone know a trick to find a way to make a good first chapter?
I've already written some parts of the ending xD
