So I recently was looking at some amourshipping stuff, and I found this post on pokemon amino about the problems with amourshipping http://aminoapps.com/page/pokemon/5480145/the-problems-with-amourshipping. Now, to sum up the post, they basically said that amourshipping is a redundant distraction from the actual show. This is not true. Their only reasoning on why they didn't like the ship was that it seemed that Serena was only made for it, and that people wouldn't think of her just as a companion. That may be true, but that is a problem with the community, and not with the ship itself.  Now, I really think that this post, they dont really go into enough detail. They simply make an interesting observation, and leave it at that. The small ship moments, contrary to what they are trying to say, make an interesting character dynamic. The amourshipping actually helps drive characters, and it is also a good way to allow the viewers to connect with serena. I do, however, wish that the show itself had done things in a different way. Imagine if serena had actually realized that her relationship with ash was one sided. It would have been a perfect way for her to just realize that she needed to be herself, and it would completely destroy the haters like this person. Now before you get mad, I dont mean I want amour to die, but instead, for it to be reborn. You may realize, that I include a timeskip from after the anime in most of my stories. This is because amourshipping had a 0% chance of happening in the time frame of the anime. Of course, I do believe it would have really been possible some time after. I mean the two characters, ash and serena, did go together amazingly. I do hope that I didnt get too off topic there, but I just wanted to respond to that post with my thoughts on amourshipping, and how it really did help the anime.
