3. DAMSEL IN DISTRESS
As RK moved towards the three figures, two of them exchanged a worried glance, the fear of the celebrity approaching them with a strange emotion in his visage and his deep set eyes gripping them. For a moment, a strange idea of running away from the danger made its way into their minds, for something in this person's gait as well as vision scared them right at the first sight of him.
However, they just continued to stare at him, trying their best to keep their calm for the sake of carrying their dangerous image, preparing themselves mentally for the fisticuffs and fight that could confront them any minute.
The approaching figure, however, seemed to care the least about the men, as his eyes remained glued to another pair of eyes, a feminine one, the entire time. With his intense gaze locked with the scared one, RK slowly covered the remaining distance between them, before his steps came to a halt right before the terrified girl.
As the four of them stood there frozen for a minute, the air surrounding them seemed to mix with an unspoken anticipation and tension. While the men flanking the girl and the boy stiffened, expecting some kind of outburst, the central figures just stared at each other with different emotions in their eyes. The girl's eyes seemed to have lit up witnessing him as her saviour, while RK's eyes held strange emotions.
Finally breaking the eye lock, as RK turned his head to his side to face one of the scoundrels, his peripheral vision caught a glimpse of something familiar. His eyes suddenly landed on a familiar gothic string of beads wrapped multiple times around the girl's wrist, as she clutched some of the hanging beads along with her kurti. It took him no time to realise that it was none other than the bracelet that had been embracing his wrists a few moments ago, before landing into the palms of a girl, as he had thrown it in the crowd at the concert only moments before. The same girl was now standing before him, with the same string of beads gripping her wrist.
Glancing at the bracelet once, he turned his head, staring at the man in front of him with a strangely scary coldness in his eyes.
"What do you think you're doing here? How dare you ruffians even think of touching this girl? And that too, near my concert? Don't you have even a bit of shame? Aren't you afraid of the outcomes?" Spoke he, his tone never changing a bit.
"That... That is none of your business." The man at the other side managed.
"I'm afraid it is. Since you two have shown this courtesy to disrespect a woman. Well, go ahead. I'm here now. Let's see how you can touch her. For as long as I'm here, nothing can happen to her." Spoke he, staring at the girl again at the last phrase, as their eyes met again.
The woman stared at him with admiration shining in her eyes, while his expressions never bothered to change a bit.The men balled their fists, preparing themselves for any attack as well as their defence. A soft smile began to adorn the girl's lips, as the cold wind blew some loose tendrils of her hair across her face. Ranbir tilted his head to the other side still staring at her, before bending down a bit in order to remove the dark mass of hair blocking her face.
He blew at her hair softly, causing them to move away from her face, as his face was now inches apart from hers. She could feel the aroma of his hot breath on her face that increased her heart beats, as their eyes remained locked, before RK's expressions began to show some sort of change for the first time.
As the girl was gradually lost into him, a voice pulled her out of her trance, the words confusing her to the core.
RK was still inches apart from her. However, his lips had been curved into a strange smirk, as he stared straight at her, before whispering something close to her ear.
"Were you expecting something like this?" Whispered he, pretending to be shocked, before pulling away from the closeness, staring at the two equally confused men, turning to face her again.
"Don't tell me. You didn't see this coming? I must tell you, if you want RK's attention, you've got to do better than this." RK crossed his arms before his chest.
"Wha... What are you... " The girl managed to speak for the first time, confusion reflected on her face.
"Oh, please. I very well know people like you. You, such a helpless woman, are getting molested right in front of my concert, appearing in an area where people rarely can be seen. Wow. You really thought I'd buy that? My attention needs way more planning, you amateur." Spoke he with the same smirk, as the girl continued to stare at him with utmost shock.
The men exchanged a slight smile, as RK moved a couple of steps backwards, before turning to one of them.
"You were right, egghead. It's none of my business. You may still carry on with your flop plan. I'm least interested in saving these weak 'damsels in distress' waiting for their knights in the shining armour." He patted his shoulder twice, as the man smirked evilly.
"Better luck next time, dear damsel. You might need some defensive skills next time, though, weak lady. You know, in case your fake molesters change their mind, landing you in an actual distress. Not that I care, anyways." RK lifted his palms in the air at the last phrase, taking few more steps in the backward direction, before turning to walk away from the three of them, leaving behind the distraught woman accompanied by two pairs of evil gazes on her.
"RK! RK, wait!" She yelled, running to stop him. However, her feet ceased due to a strong grip on her wrist by the man, his evil smirk seeming to have widened, as the string of beads fell from around her hands to the ground due to the force.
"Where will you go now? There's no one here, except us." The other man grinned from behind her.
"RK! Help me! Leave... Leave me! Let me go!" She struggled to free herself from his uncomfortable grip, but in vain. As she turned to see RK's retreating figure gradually becoming smaller, her vision got clouded by tears of pure horror, as her mind contemplated each and every possible outcome of the situation. Her only ray of hope was fading away quickly, as she continued her futile attempts to free herself, crying for help, which was successfully ignored by all of the three men present there.
The men finally seemed to have enough, as they held the poor girl by her arms tightly, before pulling her with all their force, pinning her to the car behind. Their evil grins widened, as they exchanged a glance, before one of the men lifted his palm, bringing it closer to her face as she leaned back as much as possible. Seeing the almost inevitable danger in front of her, she turned her face to the side, closing her eyes tight shut, her heart loaded with pure horror and fear.
She waited for the uncomfortable touch, with tightly shut lids that shedded tears of terror. However, feeling nothing as such on her skin for a long time, she slowly opened her lids, turning her head to the front with all her courage. As her eyes witnessed the scene before her, a sheer sense of relief washed over her. The man's hand was inches away from her face, however, it was fixed tightly to its position by another hand, that held his by the wrist strongly, causing all his attempts to free himself go in vain.

As RK approached his vehicle once again, ignoring the screams of the young woman, a loud bang from behind him caused him to finally turn back at the people, with the same expression etched on his face. As he turned back, his eyes spontaneously narrowed themselves, witnessing the scene in front of him. One of the man was lying on the ground, while the other one was struggling to fight with another person, who had not earlier been there, only to collide with the car seconds later with great force.
The other person, who had been covered in black, clad in a black leather jacket, accompanied by a black pair of jeans, head surrounded by a black helmet, stared straight at them with his hands on his waist. The girl clutched her kurti, moving backwards, until her back collided with a tree trunk, while the other three continued on with their fight.
The man who had been lying on the floor got up, his fists coming towards the helmet-man with a great force, only to be stopped mid air by his hand. The man struggled to free himself, while the other man got up from near the car, with a long rod in his hands, coming towards the person from behind.
RK watched the whole scene with utmost curiosity, leaning against his car, arms folded across his chest, as he tilted his head to the side, staring at the scene with narrowed eyes. It took him no time to realise that the girl who had been crying for help earlier, could no longer be traced in the entire view. Of course. Of course, she would have run away as soon as she would've seen someone else fighting for her. Why on earth would she ever bother to help a person who was trying to help her? After all, she was a human being, a woman in particular. A so called fragile woman. And that's what human beings do. Be selfish each time they can. A bitter laugh escaped his lips, as he continued to stare at the scene with the same curiosity.
As the man approached the person from behind, he raised his hands holding the rod high in the air, before directing it towards the person's shoulder with all his force, for his head had been successfully shielded by the helmet. However, as the rod approached the person, he somehow seemed to have sensed it beforehand, as he left the other man's fist which he had been holding, before quickly bending once, jumping to the side.
His grip that prevented the scoundrel's hand from moving further was suddenly removed. The sudden force gained prevented the man from exerting a control on his hand, causing the man's hand to move with great force, punching his partner hard in his face, who had been coming from the other direction with the rod. The sudden punch caused the other man to lose his balance, as his rod ended up striking the head of the first man with great force. Both of them screamed in agony, being beaten up by each other, before falling to the floor, unconscious.
"Not bad." RK muttered under his breath, seeming to be impressed by the person's ability.
The helmet-person shrugged once staring at the fallen culprits for a minute, rubbing his palms, before turning towards the direction where his motorbike was parked closely, never bothering to look for the girl, as if even he knew that she wouldn't be there. The man settled on his bike, his back facing him and at this distance, all RK could figure out about him was a strange logo printed across the back of his jacket. The vehicle roared to life as the person adjusted his grips on the handles, rotating them twice, before speeding in the far off direction.

RK, after staring at the direction where he had disappeared for a long time, turned towards his car, only to find Aryan standing there with his hands on his waist.
"Any issues?" Asked RK.
"What are you doing here, RK? And why did you send the bodyguards away? A celebrity like you needs protection." Demanded a concerned Aryan, who was much more than just a manager to RK, being the only person he accepted to call as his friend, for he had been there with him since forever. He had seen almost every phase of his life since the time of college, and had closely witnessed Ranbir turning into RK.
"Well, Aryan, a celebrity like me doesn't need anyone for his protection. I'm more capable of protecting me than those two pairs of robots. You don't have to worry so much." Replied he, placing a hand on his friend's shoulder, while reaching for the car handle with his other hand.
"And where are you going now, Spiderman?" Enquired Aryan narrowing his eyes, as he saw RK gradually opening the car's door, before settling in the driver's seat.
"Duh. On patrolling, of course." RK winked at him, never bothering to put on his seat belt, as Aryan stared at him with an annoyed face.
"Chill, bro. I'll be back soon. Till then, just take care of these hyperventilating people inside." Said RK, expressions cold once again, somewhat leaning from the car's window.
"They're your fans." Retorted Aryan.
"Yeah, right. Whatever." Replied RK, turning towards the steering wheel now.
"But you're drunk, RK. I know you won't stop. But at least drive safely, and wear your seat belt, and no speeding up, please." Requested Aryan, with concern for his best friend visible in his eyes.
"Sure, Mommy." Teased RK, chuckling a bit, as the sound of the engine roaring to life filled the entire area. He glanced at Aryan once, who stood there shaking his head in disbelief, sighing, before speeding up his car down the silent dark road.
--------------------------------------------------------------
RK drove through the silent streets, piercing the peaceful covers of the dark night, as the cool breeze managing to enter through the open window played with his dark, brownish black, messy hair. His foot pressed the accelerator even harder, as his car now tore through the hushed covers of the empty lane.
However, the speeding vehicle suddenly came to an abrupt halt as he saw something unusual before him, his eyes narrowing a bit at the scene awaiting him.
