Hello everyone, welcome to this book. Now before you guys read this, just know that this chapter would feel fast or like rushed, but that's because this is just a prologue describing important events that had happened up until now. The next chapter will start with the Champion crowning ceremony in Alola, the actual stuff.

Ash was back from Unova. He had just suffered a massive defeat, and now that he was alone again, on the way to his home, he felt all that sadness and guilt come back in waves.

"I... I'm sorry Pikachu..." he said as his run slowed into a walk.

"Pika?"

"I'm just sorry for being a lousy trainer," muttered Ash as his cap hid his eyes.

"PIKA PIKA PIKA!" yelled Pikachu angrily.

"W-what?"

"PIKA PIKACHU!" he yelled as if saying 'it's not your fault dumbass!'

And right on cue, his whole team came out of their pokeballs.

"SNI!" "OSHA OSHAWATT!" "PIG!" "SCRA!"(Sorry I don't remember what each pokemon says, so don't mind if I get it wrong)

Charizard meanwhile was glaring at Ash.

He then moved forward, and instead of the usual flame thrower, he punched Ash straight in the jaw.

Ash stumbled backward and fell on his but as his eyes widened. Charizard then proceeded to pick him up and hug him.

"C-Charizard..." muttered Ash with wide eyes.

Charizard just tightened his hug and snuggled into Ash's shoulder.

"T-thanks C-Charizard..." muttered Ash as he hugged him back.

However, while all this was happening, somewhere in Sinnoh.

A scared and timid Riolu was running from a few hunters. Yes, they were back, and he was targeted.

After meeting his mom and almost being crushed to death, Ash was sitting and eating peacefully.

"So Ash, what's next?" she asked while washing the dishes while Mr. Mime swept the floor.

"Well... I wanna train before the next league. How to do it, well... I don't know yet," said Ash with a sheepish grin.

"Well, why don't you sl-"

Ash stopped hearing as he felt a pulse of Aura wash over him.

'I know I can sense aura, but this... this isn't normal. Someone just released a large amount of aura. To be able to feel it this strongly, it has to be someone close to me. But the question is, who? Firstly, who can use aura who's close to me?" Ash thought as he turned to the direction he felt the pulse coming from.

'Sinnoh... OH NO! RIOLU!' he thought as he felt another, sadder and painful pulse.

"MOM! I NEED TO GO!" yelled Ash as he ran out of the house.

"BUT ASH!"

"PLEASE! I'LL COME BACK SOMEWHERE AROUND THE MORNING!" he yelled as he ran towards the forest with his Pokeball of all his Unova Pokemon.

'Please be here please be here!' he prayed in his mind.

"PIDGIOT! I NEED YOUR HELP!"

Each time Ash would return or leave for a journey, he would at least once meet Pidgiot. Just three hours ago, he was talking to him, updating him about his Unovan adventure.

Thus, when he heard the call, Pidgiot quickly appeared in front of him.

"P-Pidgiot... I-I need to go to Sinnoh..."

"PID PIDGIOT!" he cawed as he signaled Ash to sit on his back.

"T-thanks..." said Ash nervously. He was scared for Riolu. Something really bad must have happened if his Aura was so... sad and hopeless.

Five hours had passed since Ash had felt that pulse.

Riolu was hiding in bushes, injured and wounded, and covered in blood. That's right. Blood. And not his... it was of his caretaker.

Crack.

He had stepped on a branch as he tried to escape.

"THERE!" came a yell.

"RHYPERIOR, HYPER BEAM!"

Riolu's eyes widened as he thought that this was the end for him. After this, he will forever be a slave of someone, the ones that had targeted him just a few months ago. Back then, someone, someone special had saved him. But now... well, he just wanted to meet him again.

The attack was halfway when a large Overheat clashed with it stopping it.

"CHARIZARD PROTECT HIM! OSHAWATT HYDRO PUMP!" came a yell, following which, almost every pokemon of the hunters were hit by water.

"Heh, as if that would do much," said a grunt with a grin. True to that, even after the super effective hits, the Rhyperiors and Golems were not significantly damaged.

"That wasn't to damage you idiots anyways," said Ash as he looked at Pikachu.

"Pikachu...

.

Unleash hell."

And Hell he did unleash. A thunder so powerful that even Zapdos would feel jealous was unleashed. This was one of Zekrom's gifts. he had trained Pikachu, and as the strongest Electric type pokemon and more or less a god, he had given Pikachu his power. That's what had happened to Pikachu during the start of Ash's journey in Unova. Pikachu, thought to be sich, was actually adapting to the huge amount of power boost he would get from Zekrom.

And thus almost all of the pokemon were knocked out.

'Why didn't we do this during the league?' thought Ash with a sweatdrop.

"Tch. Looks like we'll have to deal with you the other way," said the leader grunt as he pointed a gun at him.

'OH SHIT! THIS IS LIKE THAT PETRIFYING GUN OF HUNTER J'

Ash was scared. That gun was really dangerous, and whatever it hit would turn to stone, and the only way to undo its effect was a device that only Hunter J and her people had. And he couldn't see that with them.

'Ash... hear my last words. As you and I both know, you're an Aura Guardian. I'll tell you something. When you're in danger, think of that one person who you'd do anything for. The one you long for most. That one thing you want the most. Imagine that thing or person in your mind, and you'll know what to do. This is the final moment for me, but know that you live as long as your will to live is greater than the chances of your death. Farewell, Ash.'

These were the last words of Lucario. Before he died to save Rota and his sister, his kingdom, these words were what he told him.

'What do I long most for? Becoming a Pokemon master? Or...'

while he was thinking the grunt had pulled the trigger at ASh as everyone's eyes widened. As for Ash, all of a sudden, the image of a girl in a straw hat popped into his mind.

'...Her?'

As Ash focused on her, he started glowing blue, and then he was covered in a blue bubble that nullified the laser beam.

The next moment, the bubble exploded, sending the hunters flying backward. But his pokemon and Riolu only felt a light calming breeze.

"Riolu... are you alright?" asked Ash as he looked around.

Riolu could only nod, as Ash hugged him.

Ash was in front of his mother, fidgeting.

"... So that's why you ran?"

"Yeah..."

"*Sigh* You scared me, Ash! Wait... how do you know about AURA?" asked Delia just realizing this.

"Well, when I was in Rota, I... did some snooping around with Lucario. And I found Dad's secret chamber which unlocked by his, and by extension, my aura," deadpanned Ash.

"W-what?" asked Delia nervously.

"Yeah. And I know who my sister is. Other than Illene, of course," he added.

"Ash you mu-"

"I know mom, I understand. Dad had enemies, and they knew her identity so you guys decided to separate with you coming here and she going to Kalos. I know, and it's alright. Right now... I need to train my Aura, since this little guy is my partner now," said Ash as Riolu shyly came out from behind his leg.

Ash's mother all of a sudden started to fawn over Riolu, and after some time told him that it was time to go to Rota.

Ash was on his way to Mount Silver. A few days ago, he had a reunion with his sister, who constantly apologized for hiding it when they had met before. After that, he had decided he needed to do a little bit of training and soul searching. So after studying his father and Sir Aaron's book about aura and pokemon battles both, he had finally set out for Mt Silver.

Two years had passed, with Ash traveling along Kanto. He didn't want to participate in the league again, at least not until he had become much stronger and better. Also, he wanted to master his Aura powers. 

Right now, he was in front of Delia, Illene, and Professor Oak, eating.

"So Ash, what's the next step?" asked Oak.

"Hmm... I know I am trained enough, but I need to know more about pokemon and other things. Even though my strategies up until now have worked, I have lost many big matches due to my bad matchup or wrong Pokemon choice. So... I have to work upon it," said Ash thoughtfully.

"Why don't you take a vacation Ash? You have been running all across Kanto, from Mt Silver on the Kanto Johto border to those caves you talked about near Saffron city. Also that Fula city."

"Mom, there is still so much left for me to learn," said Ash.

"Ash, Delia, I have an idea which will solve both your problems," said Oak with a thoughtful look.

"What is it professor?" asked Ash excitedly.

"Why don't you join my brother's school in Alola?"
