To the abyss

Two snakes were wrapped around her wrists. In fact, it was as big as a python.

"Oh my god...Rex! I can't die," whispered, tugging free. Zeus was gone and she was alone again. It seemed lonely with only the fog to comfort her.

"Get off! Get off, I say!" she screamed again. The snakes raised their head, poised to bite her.

It is a biting, swallowing snake...

"You should've passed the box," a little voice rumbled. "You should have forgiven Zeus."

"Never!" she said, dropping to her knees.

"So, you will die."

The determination that coursed through her veins at that moment was altogether a different feeling. But, it was something else. She simply wanted to prove that the voices were wrong. That Zeus was always wrong in her sights.

But men...they don't sin, no? Only the goddesses do...

Amoris thought about Eric, a true image of someone who was flawed deep within but yet cared...she thought about Rex whom she'd never given up on...and most importantly, her father, Hades.

"Dad...if you can hear me," she cried, as the snakes wrapped around her waists now. "I am sorry for not being the perfect daughter..."

Her father seemed to be there right then. In fact, she knew he'd be there to personally escort her to the gates...she doubted she'd get to Elysium. Most probably Tartarus.

A hazy image conjured up as she looked into his eyes. "I am sorry."

"I know, girl. But, I want to say sorry for not being a good father. I wasn't a great dad, no?"

"I suppose not," she said, crying. "But, you tried and I didn't even see it."

"I thought your love was selfish..." he said gently. "I just...thought so because the others did. I mean a mortal for a girl?"

"I know you wanted the best for me, dad," she said, screaming as the pain shot through her waist. Her ribs would break any moment.

"Perhaps, but I realize we are all imperfect," he smiled sadly.

Amoris nodded. "Am I going to hell?"

Hades disappeared as the pain became too much too bear. Her ribs snapped and then, she didn't even feel like fighting. She would let them consume her...

"I accept defeat," she murmured softly. "But, I will be back. And this war will continue."

"Where is she?" asked Nyx. "We've all gathered, but where is she?"

"You think she died...?" asked Phantasos lightly.

Nyx glared at him. "Shut up, will you? We can talk about our experiences later."

Kairos looked at the ground. "Whoever it was that spoke to us...the truth will be revealed. And you must as it is your duty."

The voice cackled loudly. It didn't echo. All it did was evaporate like the mists of a song unknown.

"Perhaps she is dead," it said.

"Never!" said Candy. "She can't."

"Why? After all, gods die too," the voice said. It seemed to contain every grain of truth, judging by its voice.

"Do we continue with or without her?" asked Kairos. "There wouldn't be any use, you know?"

"That doesn't mean we don't continue," frowned Nyx. "I have this feeling she's okay. We have to do this for her."

"I would discourage you," piped Candy. "If Rex does come back, and let's just consider this. What if she's dead?"

Nyx closed her eyes, trying to think. She felt the cool glass under her feet get hot and then grainy. Like sand.

"This...is so not a desert."

Phantasos looked around, walking around. "We are in a desert."

"The game will continue," said the voice.

"Honestly," said Nyx, opening her eyes. "How many of you think Amoris is alive?"

Phantasos did but Kairos and Candy looked dubious.

I'm not going to say anything...So, take a guess. Tartarus for Amoris?
