"But Kabir, you loved me and we were going to marry." A voice was heard making everyone's head snap in the same direction.
"Esha." A gasp left Nyla's mouth.
There, Esha Sinha was standing looking at everyone with a bright smile. There wasn't an ounce of guilt present on her face. She looked refresh and happy as ever.
"Stop this nonsense Esha." Kabir said with a glare directed towards her.
"Stop what Kabir? The truth?" Esha asked sweetly.
Dressed in a jeans and top, a pair of shades on her eyes that she pushed back to her hair that were left open, Esha walked near the stage, near to the members of this bungalow and all the while it was pin drop silence.
Nyla's mouth dropped open in shock, but it wasn't long that she understood what was happening here.
No one could be trusted in these three families except Kabir, she thought bitterly.
"You agreed to marry me because you said you love me. I know I ran away on the day of our wedding, but it was only because I was having a cold feet. You see, I am here now and we can get married whenever we want." Esha said with a big smile.
Nyla's hand clutched onto Kabir's forearm, her heart beating wildly at the situation. Her lips had unknowingly started quivering, fresh tears appearing in her eyes.
Her father only knew how to worsen her mood and now Esha's entry didn't make anything easier.
"I know it was my fault that I didn't understand your love that is only for me, but now that I have, we'll get married and spend our life together like we'd always wanted." Esha replied, her eyes twinkling.
Esha Sinha had thought her long time boyfriend would help her with everything and save her from the hold of Mohit Sinha. But she was wrong. All his promises were lies and by now he even had another girl in his life. And the fact she'd secretly gotten to know about Kabir's behaviour towards Nyla, she was jealous. She had thought that life with Kabir would be worst as ever, but she was proved wrong.
When she decided to come back, she noticed how Kabir would care for Nyla and how good of a husband he was with Nyla. And Esha couldn't bear that because now she had no one. She believed that she'd made the wrong opinion about Kabir and how her life would be different after marrying him. But she didn't know it was only because he'd married Nyla instead of her. The girl whom he had always had a soft spot for.
"Stop right there Esha." Nyla shouted pointing a finger towards her.
By now, Nyla had enough. For so many days her life had been anything but peaceful. Even before the wedding, her father's relation with her weren't good either so everything had took a toll on her mind and heart.
"Nyla, you don't need to be stuck in this forceful marriage. Kabir loves me and we can get back together. You were my replacement, but now that I am back, you don't need to be anymore." Esha said in a sweet voice.
"And how do you know Kabir loves you? Did he say that himself?" Nyla questioned back, not losing the courage in her voice.
"H-he he-" Esha stuttered. Nyla's questioned had her thinking. Of course, Kabir hadn't said anything like this, that too to Esha.
"Yes he. Kabir Singhania who never wanted to get married with you in the first place. The marriage which was forceful for him, but now our marriage is something what we both cherish." Nyla shouted, her eyes widening due to anger.
"And don't even think I don't know what you're trying to do. I can see that jealousy in your eyes. I thought I was your bestfriend, but look how wrong I was. You're just as selfish like Mr. Rai and Mr. Sinha. There's no such difference between the three of you." Nyla continued with a glare.
She'd had enough of everyone taking her decisions.
"Kabir has already told me that marrying you was only a deal for him and he was forced to do it at the same time. Don't think I will let you influence me Esha. Or did you really think that you'll be able to break Kabir and I?" Nyla continued pointing to Kabir and her.
Seeing her shivering form, Kabir pulled her gently towards him who buried her face in his chest, hiding from everyone's scrutinizing gaze.
"Listen to me and listen to me very carefully. This is the last time I saying this that stop interfering in mine and Nyla's life. It would take me seconds to destroy you and your business or whatever shit. Because from now on, we're leaving this hell of a place. Living away from people like you is a way better option." Kabir said with finality.
Nyla wasn't shocked with his decision. Instead there was a satisfying smile on her face.
"What?" Saurabh Singhania asked, shocked as ever coming in front of his son.
"Yes. From now onwards, my wife and I are going to live away from you all. I absolutely have the idea what these sick people are capable of doing." Kabir glared at the four.
"You cannot do this Kabir! Who is going to marry my daughter then?" Mohit Sinha shouted, coming beside his daughter and wrapping an arm supportively.
Esha had a smile on her face, happy thinking that her father is on her side and supports her even after she ran away. But what she didn't know was all this act from her father's side was only to get Kabir in his grasp for betterment of his business as Nyla had ruined their plan.
"You really think I care about that? The only thing I care about and has always cared about is supporting Nyla and I am going the same as she's my wife." Kabir glared, pointing an accusing finger towards Mohit.
"You cannot take Nyla anywhere away from us. I can file a case against you Kabir." Arvind yelled.
"And on what basis will you do that Mr. Rai? Nyla is my wife and most importantly she's an adult, capable of making her own decisions. Do whatever you want to, but do remember what all I can do to you in return." Kabir said in a hard tone.
Arvind looked at his wife who nodded her head like an obedient wife and made her way towards her daughter, Nyla.
"Nyla." She said softly, for the first time in these many days.
Nyla only looked at her mother with a blank look. Had she approached her at the right time, Nyla would've her still forgiven her and accepted her fate, but being the bad mother she had always been, she didn't and this time Nyla wouldn't fall for it. She had her husband for the support she always needed and craved.
"Nyla child, I'll help you with the divorce with Kabir-" As soon as the word 'divorce' came out of her mother's mouth, she stopped her immediately.
"No! You cannot say things like this to me." Nyla shouted.
"I am your mother Nyla. I can-" Naina started when she was again cut off by Nyla.
"Don't even play the mother card right now. Where was your motherly love and affection all these years or when they were forcing me for an act or when your husband would demand things from me?" She pointed an accusing finger at her mother.
Her mother looked shocked. This was the first time Nyla said the truth herself and this irked her to no extent.
"I am not going to divorce Kabir. He's my husband and we've fully accepted our marriage so, don't even dare to say that word." Nyla continued with a menacing glare, pointing her finger at her mother and father.
"But Nyla with the divorce-" Her mother again started, but this time she was cut of with a loud slap.
"Don't even think about the idea of divorce between my son and daughter in-law. I've had enough of you people living here and doing these sick things." It was none other than Kabir's mother, Neha Singhania.
Whereas Shalini Sinha and Naina Rai were always at the footsteps of their husbands in every matter, Neha had always been the quiet one who would always work according to herself. She would never interfere in the matters of the two family, but her husband would never miss a chance to help his bestfriend which she completely despised because she knew how bad of a person they both were.
Deep down, she'd always had a longing for Nyla as Kabir's wife, but seeing their age gap and the fact how everything worked according to business in this family, there were big hurdles.
"Neha!" Saurabh shouted at his wife, only to stop her from saying any further.
"Stop right there Saurabh. I've had enough and now I will not see anybody interfering in the life of my daughter in-law and demanding these sick things." Neha stopped her husband, for the first time as it was the matter of her children.
Naina's face was full of embarrassment as what Neha had said was somewhat true. But there wasn't an ounce of guilt on her face or heart after what she did with her daughter and had been doing since years.
"Kabir, let's go. I can't bear this any longer," Nyla breathed out and he didn't waste any other second to embrace her in his arms.
"Don't come anywhere near my wife. And this for all of you." He warned pointing a finger at everyone standing there.
The only person he let come near them was Neha Singhania who looked absolutely worried at the sight of her daughter in-law.
"Kabir, just take her to your room. It's enough now." Neha panicked seeing her state and he nodded.
For Kabir, there was no one he could trust for himself or his wife except Neha Singhania. This woman, his mother was the sweetest.
They straightaway went to the direction of his room, locking the door behind them and placing Nyla on their bed.
"Nyla, my Nyla." He mumbled, patting her cheeks lightly.
"Kabir." Was Nyla's soft response.
"Nyla, you're fine right? Tell me if there's any problem? Do you want me to call the doctor? No wait, I should just call-" Kabir rambled, absolutely panicked when Nyla stopped him by placing her forefinger on his lip.
"I am perfectly fine. There's no need for the doctor." She said in a soft tone.
"Y-you want to live away from here right?" This was the first time Kabir had stuttered in front of anyone and that too being Nyla.
"Yes." Was Nyla's firm reply and he let breathed out in relief.
"Thank you for doing this Kabir." She said, her eyes glistening with tears.
"Nyla, please don't think about it. I won't let anyone affect our relationship or you as well." Kabir said helplessly, but his voice determined as ever.
"I know you won't." Nyla whispered and Kabir couldn't help, but to let out a small smile at her words.
'His wife believes him.' He kept chanting in his mind.
"Kabir?" He heard her voice after moments of silence.
He hummed, now concentrating on his wife.
"Why can't they see us being happy with each other? I know they are doing this all for business, but we are their children in first place. And what is the guarantee that they'll stop bothering us if we start living somewhere else?" Nyla let out with difficulty.
"Nyla, we can't do anything to stop their deeds. They still haven't done anything that could be able to use against them or something that would be able to destroy them. All we can do is support each other and go through all of this, together." Kabir said honestly.
"You're right." She nodded her head, grimly.
"Rest Nyla. I'll tell the servants to pack your belongings because the next time you'll sleep, it'll be on our bed in our new home." He said to her in a gentle voice.
She nodded her head laying down on the bed, obeying whatever he was saying to her and as Kabir was about to exit their room, a soft voice stopped him in the way.
"K-Kabir?" It was none other than a scared Nyla.
"Is everything fine Nyla?" He asked, slightly panicked.
"Can you l-lay down with me? Only for a few minutes, please." She asked in a hesitant tone and he didn't wait for any other second to make himself comfortable beside her.
His arms was draped on Nyla's waist in a comforting manner and he had made Nyla rest up her legs on his and head on his chest.
"Sleep, love." He murmured and Nyla obeyed him again, falling into a deep slumber still in his arms.
Kabir was busy gawking at his wife. She's such a pure soul and beauty that he can't even believes she's his wife. Him, who's nothing, but a cold person. But for her, the sweetest of all.
He knows what all goes through Nyla's mind when she sees her parents behave this way with her. And this is not something new. This has been going on since long and now when he has a measure to stop this with Nyla being his wife, he won't miss it. He will do anything possible to make Nyla happy and contented with her life and there was no way he would let any complaints come from her side regarding him and his behaviour.
"I love you, my Nyla." He murmured pecking her lips who was busy in one of the most comfortable sleep of her life.

Flashback:
Nyla-7 year old
Kabir-12 year old
Loud wails were heard in the massive courtyard of the bungalow that went deaf to almost everyone's ears.
The little Nyla was fallen on the ground, fat tears flowing out of her ears with some drool from the corner of her mouth. Her knee had a big scratch as well as her small elbow that had made blood visible whose sight Nyla couldn't bear.
Her mother was gossiping inside the lobby with Shalini Sinha, the ladies who didn't bother to check upon the little soul.
And even if they would, they'll only yell at her instead of Esha who had purposely made her fall but had labelled it as a mistake which happens during every game.
She'd left Nyla all alone, not even bothering to check upon her or atleast help her. Her brother Vansh was sick, resting in his room and her little body couldn't support itself to get up with the pain she was feeling in her limbs.
And it was then that she felt a pair of arms picking her by the underarms, lifting without any issue and the very next moment absorbing the feeling of sitting in someone's lap that only made her realize what comfort actually is.
Her teary orbs landed on him, Kabir Singhania. This boy was only 12 years old but one could easily take him as a 15-16 year old. His built had always been masculine and as compared to Nyla, he was a giant. Because that little girl looked so tiny in his arms, in his lap.
"Kabir." Nyla hiccuped with tears still flowing out of eyes.
Her arms, on their own launched themselves around Kabir's neck, barely wrapping due to the small size and she buried her tiny body against his, seeking the warmth, comfort and safety.
"Nyla, how did you fall?" He simply questioned as he wrapped his own arms around her tiny frame, smothering her hair that were sticking in every direction.
He was cradling her as if she was a porcelain doll. He thought he would hurt her if he will wrap his arms around her tightly but the reality was she enjoyed his hold, his scent, his presence.
"Esha." Was her only response making him clench his jaw.
"How many time have I told you to maintain a distance-"
"She asked me to play!" Nyla whined, rubbing her nose against his tshirt.
"My life, I don't want you to get hurt." He murmured softly, rubbing her tears with the pad of his thumb.
As always, once she was in his arms, she didn't bother looking at her surroundings or care about anything. Her face was buried in his chest, legs on either side of his waist as he was cradling her perfect form ever so softly.
"It's paining." She let out, looking at him with a pout.
"I-"
Before Kabir could say further, a screeching yell was heard that only made Nyla bury her face more in his chest and for Kabir to only tighten his hold around her.
"Kabir, you are back! How was the football practice?" Esha asked in an excited tone, as she jumped around.
Kabir simply nodded his head, that too barely because as a man, he would never disrespect a woman but Esha always got on his nerves.
Whereas Nyla, this man could give up on everything for her.
"Kabir, I can't get up. It's paining." Nyla weeped, tugging at his sleeves and Kabir caressed her cheeks in return as he nodded at her.
"I will take you and aid your wound. Come on." He voiced out.
"Such a child you are Nyla. Can't even play without hurting yourself." Esha scoffed mockingly.
Kabir's jaw clenched as what Nyla had told him was different. Esha had always been a liar and a manipulator.
"Don't think I don't know what you did to her Esha. It'll take me seconds to tell Mohit Uncle everything and you know what he'll do to you." Kabir gritted out.
"But-" Esha stuttered, not getting words to respond with.
She has forever seen Kabir, the loner child, a serious one who is a man of few words having a soft spot for Nyla. He treated her like a queen and Esha had wanted this for her too! She too doesn't get any affection from anyone but atleast Nyla gets from her brother and Kabir.
"Go away Esha! Right now. Leave us alone." And these harsh words of Kabir made her run away from the spot with tears in her eyes and Kabir could care less.
He lifted himself from the ground, with Nyla attached on his hips, her arms around his neck and legs around his waist while his one were wrapped around her small frame and other caressing her hair as he led them inside the house.

Nyla- 12 year old
Kabir- 17 year old
The 12 year old Nyla was standing in the porch of the bungalow, a big pout resting on her plump lips as she glanced at her surroundings in a frantic motion.
As usual, she was waiting for Kabir to return from his football practice.
And no matter how much Kabir had started to talk less with her as well, and decrease the time they spend together, Nyla's innocent heart only wanted to be near him.
Her blinking orbs landed on Kabir who was entering the metal gate, wiping his sweat off. This man already looked like a proper grown up. He had already reached his father's height, built strong as ever due to constant football practice and his face, handsome as ever.
Nyla grinned, her hands fiddling amongst themselves, looking at Kabir with an expectant look that today atleast he would give her a hug which he didn't this past month.
But her assumptions got wrong as Kabir walked past her as if she wasn't even standing.
There wasn't even a nod from his side or a smile. It felt like he was ignoring her.
And it pained Nyla's heart because he was her Kabir! Her companion!
"Kabir-" She tried to get closer to him.
But he didn't respond and or even heard her.
He kept walking inside, without paying her a single glance not seeing how tears had appeared in her eyes.
Every single time, it was Kabir who used to wipe her tears that were caused by anyone but this time it was himself who was the cause of them.
Nyla's innocent heart let it go, thinking that he must be dealing with personal issues. Hoping that he would get better sooner or later.
But days passed, her efforts couldn't do anything or change the relation between them, back to the previous one.
And at one point, she lost every hope.
She just let him go.
Away from her.
No matter she was left all alone.
