The clouds were floating in the blue sky, sun hiding behind those. The sounds of traffic was heard as Armaan, Ishani, Shivani, Rahil and the 3 year old Sahil were currently in a car on the way to their home. A place where Ishani will start living permanently from now on.
Soon, the car came to a halt and now stood in front of a magnificent structure, which is a way bigger house than her father's with a modern look.
Everyone got out of the car and Ishani was dying with nervousness. Now there's no way she would be able to avoid him. She has to move ahead with everything.
As all five of them made their way towards the entrance, Shivani stopped Armaan and Ishani on the threshold itself.
"This is the first time you are coming in this house as Armaan's wife. So I need to do some puja." Shivani replied to everyone's confusion.
The very next moment, she came back with a red plate and did the needful.
Finally Ishani stepped in the house with Armaan by her side. No matter that only 4 people lived here till now, the house still had a homely feeling. She didn't feel uncomfortable maybe because of the fact her sister lives here or she has visited this place quite a few times.
Rahil had gotten an emergency call from the hospital about an accident, so he had already made his way there. Shivani was on maternity break as her pregnancy had some complications due to which she cannot take stress. Armaan was busy with his office work, so both the sisters decided to spend some quality time together in Shivani's room.
"Ishu, you're happy na? You're going to live with us permanently. And then of course, he is your Armaan." Shivani initiated the conversation.
Ishani, who was busy playing with the 3 yar old Sahil looked at her sister with a blank look.
"Shivu Di, how am I going to get along with this marriage when one of us didn't even want it at the first place?" Ishani finally questioned the only thing that was circling her mind since days.
Shivani's expression changed as soon as she noticed Ishani's way of talking. Her younger sister seemed stressed.
"What do you mean Ishu? You didn't want to get married to Armaan?" Shivani asked baffled.
"You know that I wanted to. I am talking about Armaan. He didn't want to get married to me right? I am basically ruining his life by staying here." Ishani replied and by now she had placed her head on Shivani's lap to seek comfort.
Shivani's hand caressed Ishani's hair to untangle to knots and give her some comfort. She looked stressed and in worry which only increased Shivani's confusion even more as what Ishani kept on saying didn't make any sense.
"You have gone insane Ishu. Armaan was the most excited amongst you both to get married. He was chanting 'I cannot wait to see Ishani as my bride' the whole time we came to Pune for your wedding. How can you even think that he didn't want to marry you?" Shivani asked, looking at Ishani questioningly.
"I heard it myself." Ishani replied sighing a little.
"You must've heard it wrong Ishu. You should talk with him and clear everything. A relationship should not be built on misunderstandings. Never." Shivani advised.
"I know. But I am very scared about his answer." Ishani said helplessly.
"How can you be scared when you don't know what's the truth? What if all that you're thinking is lie? Do you know how much trouble it could cause to both of your lives?" Shivani said clearly concerned.
"Yeah. I'll talk to him." Ishani mumbled and closed her eyelids in comfort.
She was really tired after the flight and she seemed to have a great comfort in her sister's arms after so long. Shivani didn't made any attempt to remove the sleeping Ishani from her lap, instead made a comfortable position for both of them.
//////////
Thirty minutes had passed since Armaan's work got over and he was waiting for Ishani to come with him in their room. Not able to wait any longer, he got down to the living room and noticed there wasn't anyone. He heard Sahil's noise as he was playing, so he assumed that Ishani must be accompanying him.
As he made his way towards his brother's room, the sight in front of him was total opposite of what he was expecting. Instead of Sahil who sleeps like a log, it was Ishani this time. Shivani was reading a magazine and Sahil were playing beside her sleeping form and she still wasn't making any movement due to disturbance. She must be really tired then.
"Chachu!" Sahil exclaimed seeing his Uncle.
Chuckling, Armaan lifted the 3 year old in his arms and placed him on his shoulders. For a few minutes Armaan played with Sahil and now Sahil wanted to sleep so he had made his way back to his mother who happily took him.
The bed now had no space left with Ishani's sleeping form, Sahil's numerous toys and Shivani and Sahil themselves. Armaan could see frustration in pregnant Shivani's eyes so he decided to help.
"I'll take Ishani with me." Armaan whispered.
"No, I'll manage." Shivani tried to reason.
It was visible how Shivani wanted to spend time with Ishani. But now they had their full lives ahead of them so it wasn't necessary for now.
"No bhabhi. You should rest comfortably." Armaan said and picked Ishani in his arms.
Ishani clung to him like a baby putting her face in his neck and wrapping her legs around his waist causing little Sahil to giggle. Shivani had a look of adoration on her face seeing her sister this way.
"Chachi is a small baby just like me." Sahil giggled pointing at Ishani.
"She sure is buddy." Armaan replied glancing at her pouted face in his neck.
With this he turned back on his heels and exited Shivani's room which is on the ground floor. He made his way to the staircase and took each step without any difficulty with Ishani being still in his arms. He had a smile of contentment on his face.
Reaching the door, he opened it revealing a dimly lit dark brown themed bedroom.
As he tried placing her on the bed, she only tightened her hold on him and buried her face more into his neck. Armaan was having a hard time controlling himself on ravishing the girl in his arm. Their closeness wasn't making it any easy.
"Armaan." Ishani mumbled quietly and Armaan heard it clearly making him realize she had waken up in the process.
How couldn't he hear after all?
"You're awake baby? Try to sleep some more time." Armaan was concerned as he clearly saw earlier how much Ishani was tired.
Rubbing her eyes, she sat upright on the plush bed and the first thing that came to her senses was how good this room smelled. It was just like Armaan and her eyes looked at her surroundings for his room for the very first time.
"No, I am not sleepy anymore. Will you tell me something?" Ishani asked innocently, finally settling her gaze on him who had his eyes set on her.
"Of course." Saying this he made them seated on the king sized bed with Ishani still in his embrace.
It was clear how much they were longing each other. It isn't easy to stay with misunderstandings for 4 years with the person you love or is your spouse to be exact.
"Yesterday night you said you love me. Is it true?" Ishani asked looking straight in his eyes.
Her dark hazel eyes were boring into his dark brown ones for an answer. Or if she might find something in those. This time, she too had enough and it was the moment to discuss everything.
"Yes, I love you. Always have and always will. There's no doubt in that." Armaan replied with honesty shining in his eyes.
"Then why didn't you want to marry me?" Ishani let out these words with great difficulty, running a hand over her hair frustratedly
"What? What are saying Ishani? Why wouldn't I want to marry you?" Armaan was shocked.
His eyebrows were raised looking at her questioningly at what she just spoke and she shook her head in frustration.
"You were the one who said 'I don't think I want to marry her.'" Ishani said with quivering lips, controlling the sob that she knew would break out soon.
Flashback:
As soon as Armaan stepped out of her room after Ishani's outburst, Ishani couldn't control her tears anymore. She just couldn't believe what she heard was true. She had agreed to this wish 50% because it was her mother's wish and the other 50% because she had always dreamt of marrying Armaan. She loves him like no one does and she knows will always do, but what she heard had broken her heart.
"I know bhai. It's just that I don't think I want to marry her." She had heard Armaan say when she exited her room for approaching Armaan to talk to him about their marriage.
She didn't know this sentence was just a part of what Armaan had said and meant, but all she knows is her heart had broken at the same time with the thought that Armaan didn't want to marry a girl like her. Had she always been living an impossible dream where they both are madly in love with each other?
She just ran back to the direction of her room as she didn't possess anymore energy to hear about his heart trenching words. She believed what she heard was true and continued the same for long years unknowingly paining two souls.
Flashback ends.
This statement has caused the greatest of her nightmares. The sweetest of dreams that turned into nightmares. The thing she had regretted since 4 years. Something that only made her cry every other night.
"Ishani, do you even have an idea about what you're saying? If you heard these words of mine, did you hear what I said after this? Did you?" Armaan asked and his voice had raised slightly at the end.
"No." Ishani replied shaking her head, her honeybrown hair flowing due to her movement.
"I said it was only because I didn't think you were ready for this. Although you had agreed, but you were just 18 for God's sake. What if you started hating me for ruining you life? I wouldn't have survived with the guilt Ishani. I loved you enough to forget my happiness. " Armaan replied running his hand through his hair in frustration at the confrontation they just shared.
"What?" Ishani's mouth was left wide open.
"Yes. How could you even think that I will say I don't want to marry you? You mean the world to mes." Armaan was saying, but Ishani stopped him in the middle.
"That small sentence was enough to break me apart, let alone hear and process the whole situation." Ishani mumbled.
The hardest part for Ishani was noticing how broken he looked at the moment.
"I am sorry Armaan. It's all my fault. I should've just talked with you about everything, but no. I was so heartbroken listening to your words that I couldn't even bear the thought." Ishani replied looking all guilty.
Her eyes searched for his but they never met. His jaw was clenched as he was not meeting his eyes. He felt as if he would say anything wrong in anger.
"You've hurt me so much Ishani. I was so heartbroken that my girl is saying something this harsh to me." Armaan said with hurt evident in his voice. The way it cracked in the end made it obvious.
"Don't say this Armaan." Ishani murmured cupping his face, getting closer.
"I need some time. Just please leave me alone for some time." Armaan said, removing her hands from his face and parting themselves.
"Please-" Ishani started but got cut off.
"Ishani." The way Armaan said that, it meant no further arguments.
With this he made his way to the adjoined balcony and closed the door behind him. Ishani slumped down beside the bed, tears still flowing out of her eyes. The guilt of causing the misunderstanding was breaking her to no extent. She was always praised to be so mature despite her age and still she did something like this which caused innumerable pain to both of them. Such a long time she wasted in both of their lives where they could've easily spent happily with each other.
Minutes had passed and none of them made any movement or changes. Tears were still falling from Ishani's eyes and Armaan couldn't even decipher what he had heard. The whole thing that Ishani had said made a great impact on him. He couldn't even believe that Ishani thought about these things. Why couldn't she hear the whole thing or confront him the moment later? Why couldn't she have a mature discussion with him for once so that all these misunderstandings could be long lost forgotten? He couldn't help but to put a tiny blame on her.
Wiping her tears frantically, Ishani got up from the ground and ran in the direction of the balcony. This time she needed to confront him otherwise the history is going to repeat itself which causes nothing, but pain.
Opening the wooden door, she stepped on the balcony only to see Armaan sitting on a wooden swing which was swinging very slowly. The favourite thing she likes to sit on and Armaan made sure to arrange it.
The stars were gazing Ishani's figure as it was already dark outside. Her eyes wandered to the male figure sitting on the wooden swing with his face resting in his hands. Without wasting any second, she made her way towards the direction and sat just beside him.
She knew Armaan felt her presence, but he still didn't lift his head making her more guilty. How badly she wanted to see his face after 4 lonely years.
"A-Armaan please.....Don't punish me. I am really sorry for what I did to the both of us. But please understand I couldn't even think about anything after hearing the fact you didn't want to marry me whether it was the whole thing or not. I know it's solely my mistake, but please forgive me. I cannot bear to live away from you now." Ishani said while sobbing in between.
There was no response from his side.
"Armaan, I know it was all my mistake but please just think about the fact that we have already lost so many years that could've been spent happily and instead they were ruined. I don't want the history to repeat that too because of me once again. I'll do and say whatever you want but please let's just not ruin this again."
"Armaan please. I am sorry." Ishani murmured when Armaan still didn't glance at her.
"No problem. Take your time, but listen that I love you. Even more than myself." Ishani said getting up from the swing.
"What did you just say?" This time it was Armaan who had spoken, looking at her silhouette, moonlight falling onto it.
"That I love you. Always have, always will." Ishani replied with a soft smile of her own.
"You do?" Armaan asked in a hesitant voice.
He couldn't believe that Ishani just said she loves him. Unlike him, Ishani had never confessed her love for him. The feelings were buried deep inside of her thinking this as a infatuation for her 18 year old self, but she slowly realized it was love.
And when she did, it was only to break them apart due to misunderstanding although they had gotten married. Now when she had nothing to lose, why wouldn't she confess this?
Ishani only nodded her head and Armaan immediately pulled her to himself on the wooden swing which resulted in her falling onto his lap. He placed his warm hand on her dried tears cheek grazing it with his thumb.
"Please say it again." He murmured grazing his nose with hers.
"I love you." Ishani said.
"I love you too spongebob." Armaan let it out looking directly in her dark hazel eyes.
"Kiss me please?" Ishani requested innocently.
How could Armaan deny his wife's request?
Without wasting for a second, he placed his lips on hers. Their lips were moving in perfect sync with both of them feeling truckload of emotions. Sucking on her bottom lip he bit on them lightly drawing out blood and licked those instantly. Ishani had placed her hands on his shoulders giving him more access as he was dominating the kiss. His tongue had now invaded her mouth exploring it. At the loss of breath, they both had now parted their mouths with foreheads still touching.
"I forgive you." Armaan finally said what Ishani was longing to hear.
"Thank you so much Armaan. I won't do something like this again. Promise." Ishani said, her eyes shining with sincerity.
"I know you won't." Armaan replied pecking her lips again.
Lifting her in his arms again, he stepped back into the room placing Ishani on the bed. He trailed down feather kisses from her jaw to her collarbone through the slender neck. Ishani let out a small moan at the intimate contact. He again placed his lips on hers kissing lightly. His hands were simultaneously roaming around her waist and breasts. Her hands were also roaming on his hard chest feeling the muscles beneath the shirt.
"Are you sure?" He asked looking at her with love filled eyes when he felt her undoing his shirt buttons.
In return Ishani only kissed him lightly on his lips and he got his approval.
"I love you Ani." Armaan murmured in her ears.
"I love you too." Ishani responded wrapping her arms around his neck, hiding her face there, completely tangling herself with him.
He placed the comforter on top of their naked bodies and pulled Ishani to him in a way he was spooning her. Ishani didn't hesitate for a second with being in his arms and rested peacefully at her home which is his embrace.
