"How the fuck did this happen?" Atharva roared smacking on his mahogany desk that made half of the things fall.

Tanvi fliched at her place as tears flew out of her eyes.

"Bhai we were just shopping and then all of a sudden I- I was on g-gunpoint by someone and on the other hand A-Ayla was dragged by someone else. A-As she tried to f-free herself, they stabbed her in the stomach and took her away. I couldn't save her. I- I t-tried but I couldn't." She sobbed, clutching her stomach as she fell on one of the chair of his office.

"Who the hell told you to take her for shopping? Didn't you said you have bodyguards with you? Where were they at that time?" He shouted at his sister who was crying continuously.

"Bhai I just wanted to spend some time with her. And like usual the bodyguards were scattered around with a good distance between us and them. I don't know what happened to them, but when those people took Ayla away, there was no sign of the bodyguards." Tanvi lied smoothly, and she wiped her tears from the back of her palm.

In between he had already dialled his younger brother, his right hand Tarun who was on his way to his Boss's office.

"Go back home. Your home. And dare you tell anyone about this Tanvi. I will handle everything without anyone knowing." He said sternly to his sister who nodded with a worried expression.

He was angry and worried about Ayla at the same moment. Where he had already made up his mind that he would go back home to spend time with Ayla as soon as she return, now he was showered with the news of her getting kidnapped.

Ayla was too innocent for these things. Her fragile heart and small figure would never be able to handle their torture.

He knew something was wrong and now it was the time for him to put the pieces together and find out who exactly is the rat here.

//////////

The smell of rotten cockroaches, cheap alcohol, garbage not being disposed off since years made Ayla finally open her eyes after 5 hours since she was abducted.

Her head throbbed and as she tried to touch it, she felt soreness in her wrist concluding she had been tied up.

And then a painful smile formed on her face as Tanvi and Leela's smirking face flashed in front of her eyes.

Bloody betrayer.

Footsteps reached her eear and she closed back her eyes, not to make it very obvious that she was now in her senses.

The clicking of heels was clearly discerned and she concluded that either of Tanvi and Leela is here with someone else.

A stinging pain formed on her cheek as the sound of a hand coming in contact with a cheek was heard. Someone had slapped her.

And not to lie. Everything at this point pained in her body. A single touch from herself left a stinging pain.

Her head was jerked back with force upon someone taking her hair in a harsh grip. It felt as if her silky, smooth hair that Atharva loved to caress would come out of her head due to the unbearable pressure.

"Time to wake up, bitch." A feminine voice hissed in her ears.

She slowly opened her ears, blinking a few times, adjusting to the surroundings she saw it was Tanvi. The one who had betrayed her. The one who had slapped her. The one who had yanked her hair. Two feet away was Varun Jaisingh, Tanvi's husband.

He was looking at Ayla almost coldly.

"Happy realization darling. By the looks of it, it seems that you have finally realized everything happening around you. Doesn't this feels good? After all it's the exact place you deserve to live. In this condition." Tanvi's mocking voice reached her ears as she circled the almost broken chair Ayla was sitting on.

Ayla tried freeing her wrist from the rope she was tied on to the armrest. But it was nearly impossible. Her legs didn't move at all due to being tied at two different legs of the chair while her hand were tied to the armrest and everything felt scratchy.

The old, scratchy things on the broken chair was bruising everything even more yet there was no pain.

"How does it feel to take someone else's place Ayla? A title you don't deserve. The life you don't deserve to live with your husband. The man, Atharva, who you don't deserve." Tanvi glared, bending down on the level of her.

The two of them had the same level of disdain for each other. They were glaring so harshly, not at all like the times they spend together in previous years.

"Who deserves then? That pathetic lady, Leela?" Ayla spat her name venomously.

"Of course she does! My cousin deserves that man, not you." Varun yelled at Ayla who seemed unaffected.

"You know, you ruined our plan. Completely. Let me tell you a story now. You'll listen right? Well, you have no other option." Tanvi mockingly laughed, throwing her head back.

It felt disgusting for Ayla to look at this form of Tanvi. Maybe she wasn't used to this, but this was nothing unexpected.

"You see this man. My husband. I love him. I fell in love with on the first sight." Tanvi breathed out walking towards Varun who wrapped his arm around his wife, giving her a kiss on the lips.

The two immediately started their makeout session making Ayla shut her eyes in disgust.

And then a slap resonated in the empty, dull room making her eyes snap open.

Varun had his hand raised as if he had just slapped someone and Tanvi was holding her cheek tightly, a pained look on her face yet she had a big smile.

"Enough woman. That's enough. Do what you're here for." Varun glared at Tanvi, yanking her again towards him with her hair.

Ayla's mouth dropped open due to the shock at what she just witnessed, but she quickly recovered herself not to make anything obvious.

What the hell is wrong with these two?

"The day we first met when he came to our for the proposal of our marriage, it was love at first sight for me. He was perfect. So handsome. So mature and exactly the age gap I wanted my relationship to have. He only made me fall for him even more till our wedding. And when I got to know that Leela, my another bestfriend is his cousin, I was ecstatic." Tanvi said happily, her eyes shining with the love Ayla realized Tanvi had for Varun.

"But you know, happiness doesn't lasts for long. I had secretly heard Leela talking with Varun that his proposal came for me only for Leela to marry Atharva who had fallen in love with him. Fallen in love with my brother in our college time. I was heartbroken. I cried for days and night but one day Varun was so fed up with my sad behaviour that he made me realize that he has genuinely fallen in love with me too. And that's when I knew that it should only be Leela who will marry Bhai. My bestfriend should marry my brother, my bestfriend Leela. No one else." Tanvi said with a painful smile as Varun kissed her forehead.

What exactly Varun wants? One time he's showing so much affection and on the other he's abusing her.

"And when Leela's family finally decided to bring up the topic of her marriage with Bhai, it was only for us to experience another shock. The biggest of all that you are married with him. Atharva Grover is married with Ayla Sharma. My other bestfriend."

"Our wedding happened. But then I came across Leela and Varun's reality. I thought they would get over with it, but they didn't. Leela kept crying over this fact and Varun took all the anger out on me. Slaps and punches? Common. Verbal abuse? Got used to it. I didn't mind that. He can do whatever he likes. I love him enough. And now he was my everything. Of course I will do everything as he pleases. He does whatever Leela wants. He considers her as a sister he never had and for me, his priorities are my priorities as well."

A disgusting look formed on Ayla's face hearing them speak this nonsense.

"And you too know what Leela wants. She wants Atharva Bhai. And to give her that, Varun can go to any heights he want. And I will support him too, even if it means pain for my family." She smacked her armrest making a wavered breath come out of Ayla's mouth.

"Also, my dear husband isn't too happy about the fact that Bhai denied to partner his business his own. And then again, I will do whatever makes him happy. Even it means getting you out of the way, forever."

Getting her out the way meant killing her. And this time Ayla wasn't shocked to ehar Tanvi say all of this. What should she even expect from this bloody betrayer?

Tanvi's manicured nail was tracing the bruise on Ayla's cheek. It was stinging with pain, the air gushing through causing her to feel the burn and the pain she felt from Tanvi's finger wasn't less that could have been ignored.

Where was the girl gone who would cry seeing the sight of blood on Ayla's knees? The one who cried while innocently pleading her Atharva bhai to treat Ayla's wound. And then Atharva who took both girls in his arms, wiping their tears away from their innocent eyes.

Was this all Leela's fault?

Or was it Varun's?

Or was it like Tanvi had brought all of this upon herself by not understanding the importance of real and genuine people in her life?

Ayla couldn't point at anyone particular at this point.

And then all of a sudden gunshots resonated through the expanse that made a panic look form on Varun and Tanvi's face.

Sounds of doors breaking apart, loud and harsh footsteps, people hitting was discerned immediately.

Varun's phone ringed instantly and withiut wasting any second, he picked it up, frown increasing on his forehead as he listened to whatever the person on the other side was saying.

"We have been attacked. They've found us. Come fast." Was the only thing he told Tanvi that Ayla heard clearly between the hundreds of gunshots, screams and yells.

And the very next moment the two ran out of the room she was kept in, leaving her all alone. She didn't miss the fact that all Tanvi cared about was running out of the room with her and Varun safe, not paying Ayla a single glance.

The gunshots only kept increasing as Ayla tried to free herself. But, it was no avail.

In the process she even fell down with the chair she was tied on making a yelp come out of her mouth. But it was no sound between those gunshots.

But she just kept trying to free herself.

After so many attempts, she could feel the rope on her wrist getting slightly loosened. And then with slight efforts, her small hands came out the rope tied to armrest from the part it had loosened up and she quickly untied the rope on her legs as well.

No doubt her head was throbbing with unbearable pain, stomach feeling pain from the insides remembering someone has kicked her there earlier and her cheek still stinging with pain. But there was no time to rest or stop.

Gunshots only kept nearing to her and the yells, screams of pain kept increasing. No matter this was her first time experiencing this, she felt no fear. The only thought she had was to get away from this place, safe and sound.

Finally free from every tie and barrier, she limped towards the door to the room that was left open by them in a hurry and got out.

She could see some men around her scattered, big guns and weapons in their hand but she kept walking, more like limping.

And then a voice stopped her.

"Who are you?" A big, buff and scary man asked her making her heartbeat increase in fear.

There was a big sniper in his hand that made a wavered breath come out of her mouth. Guns are something not to be messed with. And the next moment, the gun was pointed right at her forehead.

//////////

"Bhai, this isn't possible. Do you even have an idea about what you're saying. She's your sister too for God's sake!" Tarun shook his head, not believing what all Atharva had just said.

"I absolutely know what I am talking about and it's the fucking truth." Atharva yelled, his eyes raging with anger.

Anyone else expect these two would be scared enough to run away from him at this point seeing his state. He looked like he wouldn't hesitate to murder anyone right this second.

"Atharva, Tarun is right. Tanvi is Ayla's bestfriend and why would she even do this?" His left hand man and bestfriend, Rishi asked.

"She was her bestfriend. I have seen my wife crying over the loss of their friendship past this whole month!" Atharva gritted out, running a hand through his hair.

The two seemed as if they didn't believe whatever Atharva was meaning to say at all. They just weren't able to grasp this, but it was Atharva who hadn't taken more than a couple of minutes to find the rat in this problem.

"You still don't believe me. Then listen." Atharva nodded, crossing his arms.

He knew he was right. There was no way there could be anyone else doing this. He knew how to discern something from a person's body language and Tanvi clearly seemed very weird since her wedding with Varun.

"Today, it was all of a sudden that Ayla called me that Tanvi was asking her to go shopping. Shopping when she hadn't even talked with her once since the revelation. I denied for obvious reasons but Tanvi kept persisting and I had to accept after knowing that Varun had sent some bodyguards for Tanvi's safety." Atharva began whatever he concluded for the whole scenario.

"Now everything happened in the time span of half n hour. Just after I had a call with Ayla's personal bodyguard who notified me about something wrong going around which he wasn't able to find out and in retun I had asked him to keep an eye on my wife and sister."

He said as the two nodded in understanding.

"And just as I called the bodyguard again after five minutes, there was no response from his side. I dialled Ayla and she too didn't pick up. I was concerned right there and when I called Tanvi, she kept saying that everything is fine and how Ayla is currently trying her outfits in the changing room. I listened to her. I listened to my sister, I fucking believed my sister like the twoof you are asking me to do."

"And then exactly half n hour later, that sister only barges into my office saying that how Ayla has been abducted by some people and crying over this fact? The sister who I saw entering my office building with that woman Leela but the only person that came into my office was Tanvi, again for some obvious reasons. And then when I told her to leave, she instantly left after telling me a pathetic story about Ayla being kidnapped and how her 10 bodyguards couldn't do anything against those 5 kidnappers. Absurd right? She left the office with Leela, let me tell you. I saw it in the CCTV."

"And that husband of hers had picked them. I got to know about this from my investigator how they got inside his car with the biggest of smiles. Smile that was without any regrets. Don't worry, I only believed him by seeing the photos he clicked before you people say he must be lying."

"So now tell me, what can you conclude from all of this?" Arharva asked, finally looking at the two other men here.

"That all of this is done by Tanvi and Leela. Or even more, Tanvi's husband Varun." Rishi gritted out, slowly nodding in understanding the whole situation.

And this time, Tarun too nodded his head, agreeing with this statement, his fist clenching in anger at even the thought of his twin doing all of this.

"Exactly what I said in the very beginning." Atharva exclaimed with red eyes, fist clenched due to anger.

"What do we need to do now?" Tarun questioned, raising his eyebrows.

He was now set to bring his sister in-law. The one who would daily make WhatsApp he would ask her to when he returns from work. The one who he had given the same respect as of his twin. Who would he even flirt with?

"Those people are big fools. That mastermind behind them is the biggest fool, Varun Jaisingh. One reason why I denied to merge our mafias and business. They did all of this without any such planning. They do not have bloody force to work with them. Their car was observed going to their training house, in the outskirts by my men. The only one they have. So obviously, Ayla is being kept there. Men have that place covered. His most likely 20 men are all at gun points secretly. And my men already have the building covered from a good distance. Although they still haven't been able to make out where exactly Ayla is. The building no doubt is a big one." Atharva explained.

"Soon they will be attacking the place and till then we will have to reach there and get Ayla out, safe and sound." Atharva ended with a satisfactory look.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go. This bastard, Varun should prepare for the death I am going to give him." Rishi said with a glare and the two nodded, walking out of Atharva's cabin.

Rishi Khurana had his own grudges against that man, Varun Jaisingh. As soon as he had gained the courage to ask his bestfriend for his sister's hand for the sacred bond of marriage, he got the news of Tanvi marrying Varun. He had lost the girl he loved, even confessed to who ignored it in the merciless of ways.

The other workers got out of their way, noticing 3 men walking with these scary expressions, something that would make them go weak on their knees.

"Why exactly did Tanvi do this?" Tarun muttered, slightly shook by the information.

"Obsession can make you do a lot of things. One reason why I accepted Varun for Tanvi." Atharva responded getting inside the car.

"Still you accepted it? You could've made Tanvi understand how wrong it is." Rishi couldn't help, but to ask.

"She wouldn't have. I knew it. And nothing was wrong with it till today. Today, every fucking limit has been crossed by her. And nothing was wrong with Varun as well, till he didn't know about Ayla being my wife." Atharva gritted out as he buckled the seatbelt.

And the very next moment, he roared down the engine of his car to the busy roads, the only thing going on his mind to save Ayla, his baby, his wife and give those three what they deserve. Hell.

//////////

"Who are you?" A big, buff and scary man asked Ayla making her heartbeat increase in fear.

There was a big sniper in his hand that made a wavered breath come out of her mouth. Guns are something not to be messed with. And the next moment, the gun was pointed right at her forehead.

"Are you Leela madam? I am asked to take her to the safe zone?" He now asked with a respectful tone, lowering the gun down.

Ayla's forehead turned into a frown but then something snapped inside of her head.

"Y-Yes, I am Leela. I will go myself. No need to take me there." Ayla stammered trying to walk off.

"But madam, there are strict orders-"

"And what about that girl? She has run towards that direction and I am sure she will escape you all too. The one that had been kidnapped." Ayla said referring to the exact opposite direction, a isolated place in the building.

"She has run away? Don't worry madam, I will catch her. You just get to the safe zone. These gun shots aren't safe." He said and the next moment ran towards the exact direction Ayla told him about.

She could only give a proud smirk at this.

Guess fate this time decided to side with her.

She quickly limped towards the safest place that seemed to her for now. A car came into her view and this time luck was on her side as the key was put in the keyhole, no sight of any other men or Varun, Tanvi and Leela here.

Without wasting any second, she got inside the driver's seat and drove out of the gates, tries screeching due to the sudden fast speed and her rough way of driving due to the panic filled inside of her.

Her eyes were blurring due to the immense pain in her head and her hand were continuously loosing it's grip on the steering as she could feel them shivering. It felt as if she was about to faint.

And what she didn't notice was a car was coming towards hers in a fast speed and as soon as she realized, she applied to brake with full force and so did the car on other side.

It was enough. Enough for them to be safe.

She clenched her eyes shut due to fear.

The person who was driving the other car came out with a bang and yanked the door open of her car. The very next moment, her lifeless body fell into that person's arms as neither she had the seatbelt on nor she had the energy to stay straight or support her own body.

○So, what do you think about the whole situation? Who do you exactly think is at fault? And according to you, what should be the punishment for them?
