"Now add the remaining veggies to it." Rishabh breathed out in her ears, his chest pressing her back making her feel his developing abs.
She could even feel his not so little junior down there that was pressed between her down cheeks.
It was hard for her to control the moan that was begging to escape her mouth. Damn, he was playing with her, she realized.
"Rish, please." She tried to come out of his hold as he had trapped her petite body between his big one and the kitchen countertop as she was trying to make dinner.
"Please what Yahvi?" He repeated in a deep, husky voice.
"You said you'll help me make dinner." She voiced out, barely controlling her emotions.
"I am." He simply said.
"B-But-" She stuttered this time.
"But?" He repeated, pressing himself some more to her.
His lips trailed down wet kisses down her slender neck, as he nuzzled his face down there inhaling her vanilla scent which he absolutley loves.
"This isn't fair!" She huffed and released herself from his grip, now making her way towards the living room only to slump down on the couch with a big pout. His princess was angry.
With a known look, he too walked towards the same direction she went to and bent down on his knees in front of her so that he could be on the same level as hers.
Holding her hand in his big one, he rubbed it with the pad of his thumb softly.
"What happened?" He asked in a soft voice.
"I don't know." She replied making a chuckle escape his mouth.
"Yahvi-"
"It's like I want to hate you for the things you do. But I just can't find myself do it. You tease me so many times and when it's time for you to show your affection or say things, you never do that. How would it make me feel Rish, you only tell me." She rambled, cutting him off.
"Then you should scold me for it. Or even get angry." He shrugged.
"I already am." She nodded, agreeing with him.
"You're bad." She whispered on the verge of tears.
"Very bad." He nodded, encouraging her.
"I hate you." She sobbed, fisting his shirt, burying her face in his chest.
"But I love you more than that." She breathed out the very next moment, still tears flowing out of her big, doe eyes.
This girl is just too precious.
"And the worst part is you don't." She cried, louder than before and a loud sniffle coming out of her.
"Who said I don't?" Came his voice after a long time.
"Really?" She asked looking at him with glistening eyes.
He just nodded, embracing her in his arms, such that his chin was resting on top of her head while she had his shirt fisted tightly in her hands.
Now that he'd accepted it, she didn't need anything else to hear.
Crashing down his lips on hers, he hoisted her up with his arms, leading them to their bedroom all the while kissing. Their emotions flowing out in the best of ways, him pouring the love in form of intimacy.

Flashback:
"Princess?" Came his voice and she shook her head frantically, sniffling loudly.
"You're bad. So bad." She sobbed.
"I know. I know." He sighed, sitting beside her crying form on one of the benches in the ground.
"Why do you have to leave me?" She cried, turning towards him with teary eyes that only made his heart clench.
"My graduation is tomorrow right? How can I come to the college after that? Don't I need to do my job?" He asked softly.
Rishabh and Yahvi had bonded amazingly over these years. Still not expressing their feelings, they enjoyed whatever the status of their relationship was. Him being one year senior to her, this was his last day at the college and Yahvi couldn't bear the fact that she had to spend another year in this college without any sight of him.
He was her savior in every sense. Whether it would be making her study or scare away all the loafers in the college that dared to come anywhere near and make her uncomfortable, he did everything. Her crush was her knight in shining armor.
"But I won't get to listen you bitch about Nitin." She whined, rubbing her red nose making it even more red.
"I promise we'll talk daily over the phone." He said, voice firm as ever.
"These are fake promises, I know." She sniffed.
"Did I ever not fulfill any promise that I made to you all these years?" He asked with raised eyebrows.
"No." She shook her head, her black locks swinging in the same directions.
"How about I treat you with some Samosas?" He asked with a hopeful look in his eyes.
"Yes." She cheered loudly, as soon as the images of their favourite Samosa of the canteen came in her mind.
"Shall we, princess?" He asked, sticking out his hand only for her to take.
Humming, she got up from the chair not taking his hand, instead climbing up on his back like a monkey, circling her arms around his neck to which in return he grabbed her thighs to place them at either side of his waist just like someone holds a sac.
"Who wants to buy this irritating human?" Rishabh shouted loudly as they were walking towards the canteen.
"Rishabh Khurana does!" Yahvi shouted with a laugh making Rishabh shake his head their antics.
This girl was something esle.

Ring...
Ring...
No response.
Ring...
Ring...
Still no response.
Ringgg...
"Hello?" Yahvi breathed out, panting.
"Where were you Yahvi? Do you even realize since how long I was calling you?" Came Rishabh's voice from the other side of the phone, full of anger.
"I was in the kitchen while the phone was in the bedroom." She breathed out, getting scared second by second at his reaction to this.
"Why do you do this Yahvi? Do you know how much scared I was?" Came his almost broken voice at the end.
"I was the same back then Rish. These were the same thoughts rounding in my mind that are currently going in yours." She replied, sitting on the countertop of the kitchen.
"Why do you have to take up the same topic every single time? Can't you forget it?" He said frustratingly.
"Nothing can be forgotten by me Rish. Specially the days you hid things from me." She responded, gaining back the courage in her voice.
"So you think I should've let you know about the condition? Only to hear it that you too are busy to come and see me and leave me like everyone did?" He asked, his tone barely wavering at the end and she noticed it too well.
"Didn't I always say to you that I am not a coward? I did come, didn't I?" She breathed out, clutching the phone in her hand.
She could clearly hear his harsh breathing that how hard he was trying to control himself from saying or doing anything. She wanted to him to say. She needed him to express his emotions or what he was feeling, but as always he wouldn't do that.
"I am sorry." The both whispered at the same time after moments of comfortable silence.
Flashback:
"The person you are trying to call is currently not available. Please try again later."
The annoying voice of the phone operator was heard making Yahvi grit her teeth.
Who wouldn't be angry hearing the same thing 20 times?
Without thinking anymore, she again dialled the number.
"The person you-"
"Damn it! I will seriously not talk to him this time. Let him apologize as much as he wants, but I seriously won't budge." She rambled to herself, pacing in the lounge of the office she had gotten a job in.
This was her first day and she badly needed mental and physical support. In short, the support from Rishabh.
The whole year after his departure from the college after graduation, they talked on the phone and at times met as well just like he'd promised. He didn't let her feel the absence of his presence.
He would at times even come at the college with a fake reason of an important work here where in reality it was to meet her. She would become red as a tomato thinking about this action of his' but would behave normally just to not make anything obvious. In correct words, they were big idiots who couldn't see each other's feelings for them.
The sound of her phone ringing snapped her out of those happiness moments rounding in her mind.
'Rishabh calling', it said.
Her heart leaped out of her chest as soon as she noticed his name on the screen of her mobile. God, how much she missed this sight!
"Rish, I am going to kill you. You made me cry so many times and not even once cared about how I felt all these days. Why Rish, why? You promised that you'll never stop talking to me and yet you avoided me for so long. In the past 6 months, you never talked to me like you used to. I seriously am angry this time." She rambled, huffing at the end in frustration and frowned even more when she didn't hear any response from the other side for long.
"Hello? Who is this?" The person on the other side of the phone asked and Yahvi recognized this as a lady's voice.
"Uhh-"
"Princess? Is that your name?" The lady asked, cutting her in between.
"N-No. I am Yahvi. Who are you? Isn't this Rishabh's phone?" Yahvi said, her tone displaying her confusion very well.
"Yes it is. I am Rishabh's mother, Ruchi." The lady replied in a low voice, her tone that changed in a flash.
"I am sorry, but can you please pass on the phone to Rishabh? I really need to talk to him. He hasn't called me since long-"
"He can't." Came his mother's firm voice.
"Huh?" Yahvi asked with a frown.
"I- I mean he cannot talk to you." She replied, gaining back the sadness in her tone.
"But why?" Yahvi whispered, on the verge of tears.
"Are you one of his college friends?" His mother questioned, changing the topic.
"Yes." She responded without any hesitation.
"Why does it seems to me that you care unlike every other friend of his." His mother asked again.
"What do you mean Aunty?" Yahvi asked as she couldn't basically understand a single thing.
"When I had called all of Rishabh's friends I knew to tell them about his condition, each one of them was busy somewhere or the other. They kept on apologizing but I could sense it was only for a formality. It has been almost 6 months since the condition and no one amongst his friends has visited him. Not even a single." His mother replied, her tone wavering multiple of times in between that only meant one thing that she was trying her hardest not to cry.
"A-Aunty what condition are you talking about?" She asked gaining as much courage as she could.
"Rishabh has stage one cancer."
And as soon as these words came out of his mother's mouth, Yahvi felt as if the ground beneath her had slipped. She felt as if her throat was completely clogged that she couldn't even breathe. Her heart had started beating extremely fast, making her feel every beat and unknowingly tears had started falling out of her eyes without any resistance.
"W-What-"
"His chemotherapy is going on right now. His condition has gone serious this week." She cut Yahvi off, now telling about the bitter truth.
"H-How-" She croaked with difficulty.
A loud sob was clogging her throat, only thinking about him in that condition.
"I am sorry, but I cannot talk right now." His mother said as a little commotion was heard on the other side of the phone making Yahvi alarmed.
"Aunty wait! Please tell me the hospital he is in. I am coming right now." She whispered, clutching the phone in her hand tightly.
Her mind was having their beautiful flashbacks and this scenes only made her heart clench thinking how different of a situation had arrived. His saviour was this time busy saving himself and here she was thinking he was ignoring him?
Her only saviour had-
"There's no need to give false hope child. I understand you won't be able to come and-"
"Aunty please! I really need to see him." She whispered, biting her lips to control the sob that was begging to escape.
"He's in the city hospital. 12th floor." She responded and Yahvi instantly hung up the phone only to run outside her office building to take a cab so that she could meet him as soon as possible.
Her heart was flipping from insides as she thought about what all his mother said. She felt broken and the thought of anything happening to the person she was in love with. She felt empty.
Flashback ends.
//////////
"Eat up." He said in his normal voice, forwarding the spoon in front of her mouth.
She just shook her head, her black locks swinging in every direction.
"Eat Yahvi." He repeated, this time in a stern voice.
"I feel restless." She whispered, almost on the verge of tears.
It had been 6 months since their wedding. Their life had been normal all these months, same with her craving for his love which he only showed with his actions and never said. He just didn't find himself saying it, ever.
"What happened?" He asked, putting the food away, now his soul attention on his wife.
"I feel weird from inside. I even took medicines because of the constant puking but-"
"And when exactly were you planning to tell me this?" He asked with an angry look, placing the back of his palm on her forehead to check her temperature.
"I thought it'll get cured. I didn't want to burden you with this." She whispered, lowering down her eyes on the level of her lap.
"Look at me Yahvi." He said in a stern tone, cupping her cheeks.
Her eyes met his only to see the warmth and love which she could get lost into. She could also see how he was trying to cover it up with the stern and angry facade, making a teary smile appear her lips.
"When I have told you ample of times that it's my responsibility to take care of you, why don't you understand huh? You're my wife and you shouldn't hesitate telling me about your problems and issues or whatever you're feeling. Even if you're angry at me, just tell me. Bash at me or even yell, but don't ever hide anything." He continued, looking deeply into her eyes, his face void of any emotion.
"I am sorry." She whispered.
In return he only embraced her in his arms, resting his chin on top of her head so that she could easily fist his shirt.
"Now tell me since how long you've been feeling like this?" He questioned in a calm and soothing manner to her who was busy tracing zig zag patterns on his shirt.
"Umm- around a week." She replied, thinking a little about the previous days.
"When did you have your last cycle?" He questioned making her go red.
"Rish." She whined, hiding her face more in his chest.
"I didn't ask any inappropriate question Yahvi. Now tell me." He simply said.
"It has been more around one and a half month." She replied in a low voice.
"Yahvi, you know what that means right?" He asked, lifting her head by placing his finger under her chin.
"Hmm." She nodded with glistening eyes.
"I am scared. Really scared." She sniffed.
"You don't have to be. You have me." He cajoled softly, taking her back into his embrace.
"You know, at one point I was scared too. But hearing from your mouth that you'll be forever with me, no matter what happens, I felt relieved from inside. I felt hope in my life." He continued making her heart skip a beat.
Continuing sniffing, she looked in his eyes only to see the honesty shining. Damn him and his words!
"How about we go and visit the doctor tomorrow?" He asked gently, pressing her head more into his chest making her sigh in comfort.
"Only if its necessary." She mumbled like a child.
"It is." He simply replied, making her heartbeat increase.
Lifting her up, he lead the two to their bedroom where all the while he could hear her sniff. At times, even she loses her hope and strength. Even she needs to show the real emotions what she's feeling from inside and after so long it was him who took care of her. Their roles just kept on reversing now and then.
//////////
"How is my child?" Ruchi questioned cheerfully, making a smile appear on Yahvi's lips.
Her mother in-law had always been amazing.
"Really good. How are you Ma?" She asked back, stirring the pasta she just cooked for the newfound craving.
"All well, my child. How are you two coping up with everything?" Ruchi Khurana questioned, her tone soft as ever.
"All okay Ma. There's nothing wrong. These 6 months have been the best." She responded.
"H-He tells you things right? He opens up with you na?" Her mother in-law questioned, in which Yahvi clearly sensed how her voice cracked in the very end.
Yahvi knew why her mother in-law was asking this. Since his treatment, Rishabh had never been the old one. He talked less with everyone. Or even barely with some. He has forgotten how to open up with anyone or share his feelings and emotions. He had changed into a insecure man who likes to keep him to himself.
But she noticed him changing a bit too. He would at times express things she could never imagine and even tease her like he would previously do in the college times. Sure, their college time was precious, something that could never be replaced but she was atleast happy about the fact he was gaining his emotions and strength back.
"He does Ma. You don't worry." She said softly, trying to give as much contentment possible to her.
"Good." She simply responded to it.
"I- I wanted to tell you something." Yahvi hesitated.
"Yes, tell me." Ruchi encouraged her.
"I- I am pregnant. Rishabh and I are going to have a baby." She whispered, clutching the phone in her hand.
"W-What? Are you serious?" Her mother in-law stuttered making a small chuckle escape Yahvi's mouth.
"Yes Ma. You know he seems so happy since the moment we got to know about this. H-He even has this smile whenever we're talking about anything or at times I even find him thinking something though with the biggest of smile and dreamy look on his face. He was looking so excited when we got to see the reports." Yahvi breathed out, a soft smile grazing her lips.
"That's fantastic Yahvi. I am so happy for you both. You honestly deserve this." Ruchi said, her tone displaying the happiness very well.
"Thank you Ma. We'll visit you soon." Yahvi smiled.
"I'll be waiting." She responded and soon they hung up.
They hadn't tried. She just got pregnant and instead of what she thought this wasn't what they needed, now she believed this was a blessing to them.
Rishabh had changed. There were severe changes in him when he got to know about them having a baby together. He would smile more, laugh more, express himself more and even tease her at times.
Maybe this actually was needed. Maybe they needed a change in their lives.
And now she didn't regret anything. She was fully satisfied.

Again something that I found which related to Yahvi and Rishabh quite well 😉❤
