I've never seen anyone look so good with dark blue eyeliner. This was also what I was thinking when I saw Ellie at the shop, royal purple eyes peeking at me shyly when I didn't have a shirt on.

I wonder what other colors she has but for now, I think my favorite is the blue one.

"And she goes 'Oh wow did you know that we'd get the speed of light as the answer?'," Fatima says, mocking her and Lex's physics teacher who is apparently too enthusiastic for his own good.

"Yeah, and then we're like 'yes Sir, that is a theorem'," Alexis rolls her eyes, her face overshadowed by a dark purple lipstick.

Fatima snorts, "And then he actually looks offended, going 'oh but he didn't know it when he discovered it right?'"

"Fati," Hunter pipes up, "Do you know you do a really good impression of a middle-aged physics teacher?"

Fatima visibly blushes under his comment, turning away towards the bar to talk to Sasha who's flirting up a football team guy. Someone's a cockblocker.

"So where's your tail?" Lex asks, sipping suspiciously from her beer can.

"Who?"

"Richie rich."

"Uh."

She rolls her eyes at me, "Aaron, you dumbfuck."

I lean forward and sing-song, "Someone has a little crush huh?"

Alexis almost spits out her beer on my face, looking at me like I told her to magically grow a tail from her head.

"He looks like a donkey jumped on his face!" She shrieks, but I don't miss her reddening cheeks.

"Is that how much you look at his face?" I wiggle my eyebrows at her, "stare into his green-green eyes."

"Yeah, and fall into a pit of a gooey green slime in my nightmare."

"Don't break his heart, cutie," I pop a bubble gum in, looking smugly at her furious face.

"I never break hearts."

"Oh yeah?"

"Okay," She snorts, "maybe a little. But can you blame me? It's so fun."

"It's a hobby for you at this point."

"Oh c'mon!" Lex whines, "Don't be such a buzzkill."

I look dead into her eyes, "I am actually terrified."

"This is how to be a heartbreaker....?" Ahe wiggles her eyebrows at me.

"Are you quoting MARINA at me?"

But before she can say anything else, a scent of lavender and jasmine breezes past me, and Ellie sticks in the space between me and Lex. Her back is facing me and the smell of jasmine intensifies around her hair. She's more than a head shorter than me and I see that her blue hairband has white polka dots on it.

Cute, I think.

"Ellie!" Alexis catches my eyes for a brief moment.

"Hi, what's going on?"

"Well, Logan and I were just talking about-"

Ellie turns towards me, feigning surprise, "Oh I didn't see you there."

I smirk, "Of course you didn't."

Ellie flips her hair so it lands smack dab on my face, and the black mass of shiny hair does wonders to hide the bubbling smile creeping on my face.
