After gathering all of the needed supplies in the team's laboratory, they carefully planned an escape route in the control room to determine their next move. 

But after a new official was tasked to them, Soarin and Twilight took their leading role as they watched every single, blood-curling event occurred in the security camera. 

For the rest of the team, they continued packing their untested space suits back at the Navigation room. 

Sunset Shimmer and Fluttershy took separate ways to check if any of the wiring systems exploded during the first explosion. 

Pinkie Pie and Rarity stayed close, boarding up the remaining un-protected windows around the building. 

As for Applejack, she stayed in her room with Rainbow Dash resting in her hands. Watching her unconscious friend sleep somehow made her feel weakened. 

Aside from the event that happened minutes earlier, she was still worried about the Rainbow-haired teen's condition. 

Her right eye has slowly turned green like Soarin's, but as the lead captain from another district, he can assure the girls that he, himself, and Rainbow Dash are fine. 

Minutes later they finished packing, Soarin Skies pressed the emergency button at the cafeteria, creating a loud alarm to get everyone's attention. 

Everybody followed its command, finishing the last part of their tasks before heading to the main room where Soarin called the meeting. 

With Rainbow Dash still unconscious, the cowgirl had no choice but to carry her friend in a bridal way. 

When the two got there, they met up with the rest of their teammates while the blue-haired teen presented a new message on his phone. 

"Look, They responded. " Soarin announced as he showed his phone to the 6 girls around him. 

Rarity took it first, placing it in the middle to let the others in the back see what's written. There they saw 3 new messages from different Districts. 

"Code name: Braeburn- district 3..." 

"Sir Skies, we have arranged the space ship. Please come here immediately with the survivors in district 1. Things are getting worse." 

"Code name: Trixie- District 4..." 

"Sir Skies! We have g-gathered all of the survivors left in District 2 and 4. None were seen in District 5. I'm here now with commander Braeburn from D3, please respond to our messages as soon as you receive it." 

"Codename: ----- - District -----" 

"R-run! DONT LOOK AT THE LIG-" 

Rarity arched an eyebrow, looking at the last corrupted message from an unknown crewmate. "W-who sent this?" 

 After all of them have seen it, the D2 commander sent a reply to all district channels, telling all of them a confirmation.

Soarin shrugged her shoulders after letting all of the girls scan the messages. "We don't know, probably another survivor. It's probably dead by now." 

Fluttershy held in her tears. "D-don't say that they're probably alive!" 

"As long they didn't look at that thing in the skies for too long.," Applejack replied, looking at her friend in her arms afterward. 

"But why does it have our channels through our districts, I thought we were the only ones that can access it?" 

"Maybe it's one of us, I think whoever sent this was in District 5.." 

"I don't know.." Soarin gritted his teeth, hiding his true emotions to avoid showing weakness to all of his team. 

"Look, we better move better the night falls." He commanded before storming out of the cafeteria room.

Twilight followed, bringing her stuff in her bag. "W-wait! What time is it, It still morning? We can still catch up with the others." 

Before Soarin could even answer his fellow captain, Applejack interrupted when she saw something disturbing outside the windows. 

"I w-wouldn't say that, sugarcube.." The cowgirl stuttered in fear as the grip on her friend tightened. 

Twilight followed her direction and gently pushed her aside to take a clear view of Applejack's sighting. 

And there her eyes widened as soon as she saw the disturbing view outside. Luckily one part of the roof was able to cover the green beam's radiation but there was something else. 

Unlike last the last time they took a peek outside, it was no longer bright. Of course, darkness did ascend hours before but this time it completely has overtaken the skies. 

There was no light source seen above except for the unknown green aura. All that was left was the high flames erupting through the buildings in the distance. 

All light sources in the streets were broken as the continuous calls of the ones they called "savages" were still being heard. 

But that didn't stop the Purple-haired- teen, from taking any lead in their current mission. Instead of taking the devastating feeling in herself seriously, she quickly turned to her crewmates before sadness takes over her again. 

She stomped her foot down, getting all of her team's attention onto her. When suddenly, Pinkie pie steps in. 

"What's going out there, Twilight?" The youngest member asked in a sad tone in her voice. 

Twilight sighed and wore her backpack, giving Soarin a nod before approaching the admission screen. 

"It's completely dark outside, we can't see anything." She started while opening a cabinet drawer in the table below the screen. "Grab your flashlights, now." 

"Yes, captain!" All of her crewmates were quick to reply to their captain's orders.

Twilight then turned to Soarin Skies. "Tell Braeburn, we'll be there in 10 minutes, we'll take the lab's armored car." 

"The danm GPS won't work, It will be nothing but pure darkness when we go out there in the streets. That thing better has lights." 

Twilight nodded her head. "It has, now comes on! We better meet others as soon as possible." She lastly said before continuing walking in her path. 

Soarin agreed and followed from behind. But what Twilight didn't know nor notice about the man behind her, that his eyes started to glow green color. 

Unlike before, this time it was brighter as the veins in her wrist were quite more visible. The poor man muttered, teasing the pain coming from his head. 

When Twilight turned around to check on him, he covered his right eye and displayed a normal expression. 

The captain only smiled and looked away, not aware that one of his crewmates were struggling due to the mysterious aura in the skies. 

Minutes later after Twilight started the car, Soarin gathered all of the girls, bringing some of their luggage containing their items. 

As for the highest-ranking among them, Soarin took the wheel before Twilight could even get inside the car. 

"Get in the back with the others, I'm driving." He stated while flicking the switch in his side, making the car's lights to shine in front. 

"B-but we own this car-" Twilight crossed her arms. 

Soarin moved his head, saying 'no' in response. "Its too dark out there, Twilight. It's better if I take the lead." 

"Fine." Twilight finally agreed before entering the seat beside Soarin. "I have a map of our possible routes around Equestria, we should use this." 

"Good idea, just tells th-" He was interrupted when a sudden painful groan escaped his breath, causing the teen beside her to hold onto him. 

"W-woah! You okay, Soarin?" She worriedly asked, helping him stand straight up again. "Look, I think I should tak-" 

The D1 captain was cut off before she could even finish talking. " No, dont.." He muttered, placing a hand on the wheel afterward. "I can do it, Im fine."

"Y-your eye.." Twilight gasped when Soarin removed his hand from his right eye, unaware of his actions.

But when the blue haired teen saw Twilight's reaction, he quickly realized that his eye was visible to her.

So he immediately grabbed his handkerchief from his bag and wrapped it around his head, covering the right part of his eye.

He then let out a nervous smile. "D-dont worry, Twi.. This is nothing, I promise."

"Its even worse than before.. A-are you sure its okay?"

"It is, I already got a confirmation from your brother." Soarin replied, sounding serious.

Twilight's eyes widened at the mentioned word. "Shining Armor? He's alright? Where is he now?!"

"I'll explain on the way. But for now, is Sunset and the girls in the back?"

The D1 captain checked behind her seat, opening a small hatch to open a small cover.

In there she saw the rest of her teammates. They were settling in as Rarity and Fluttershy help sort out some of the luggage inside.

Once all was clear, Soarin finally started the car as soon as Twilight opened the garage door.

When it opened, they saw nothing but pure darkness, except for the reflection of the green aura above as well with some of the high flames in the distance.

"Here we go.." Soarin firstly yelled out, checking the girls at the back.

"Make sure that all of you cover your eyes when were exposed to that aura. The Headquarters aren't that far from here, we'll be there in about 10 minutes."

"Wait, how are you supposed to drive? You can't look at that aura and its reflecting its light to the road!" Pinkie pie worriedly asked.

"Don't worry kid, as long as I dont have direct contact with that aura, I won't be affected."

"Soarin, Darling!" Rarity gasped. "What's wrong with your eye? Why are covering it?"

The man left her answers unanswered. All he did was close the hatch and continue his way out of the garage and into the road.

With the help of the available light source, they managed to find their way towards the Equestria's Headquarters.

Luckily it only took them less than 20 minutes to find it. Of course they had to pass some of the savages roaming around the streets.

But what shocked most of the teens was the sighting of their city in ruins and destruction. In just a few hours, all of this happened because of the mysterious appearance of an unidentified aura in the skies.

All of the people were moving like zombies while others continued slaughtering the dead corpses on the ground.

It was like a zombie movie for the girls. But this scenery was slight different from the movies, this showed such violence as blood scattered all over the town.

But the thing to differentiate was the ones called "savages" doesnt eat poor innocent civilians alive. No, they only slaughter them, ripping each limb apart to show their insides.

And torn bodies was seen all over the streets, well, this just made the girls even more traumatized.

Without still knowing the cause of this pandemic, all of the teams including the surviving ones kept on hanging on.

After a few minutes of driving in the dark, Twilight and her team finally made it to the Headquarters. And in there they saw a big light source coming from the back.

They stepped out of the car and followed its track, using Sunset's axe as a protection.

Soarin took the lead as the girls followed from behind. With the limited light surrounding them, all stayed cautious of the dimmed place.

They then stumbled to a huge metal wall where the spaceships leads to. Soarin Skies input a code and scanned his I.D on the devices in the side.

It opened after confirming his card, making an entrance to the spaceship for the girls.

But before they could walk ahead to meet with the others, all of them heard something moving in the dark.

Soarin flinched at the sound before shining his flashlight in its direction. "W-what was that?"

"Stay close!" Sunset yelled, preparing her defensive stance close to Twilight.

In the midst of darkness, all 7 stand without knowing what creature is lurking out there.

But as soon as Soarin decided to take another step closer, something rushed to him.

"RAWR!" It shouted before jumping to the blue-haired teen's direction.

It then tackled him to the ground which made Soarin drop his flashlight. But when the light rolled near Twilight's foot, it pointed at the direction of the two.

And when Twilight saw the creature above Soarin, her eyes widened as well with the girls behind her.

"S-Spitfire!"
