The knocking continued as the boy named "Soarin" continue yelling the 7 teens' names, mostly for Rainbow Dash.

But after hearing several calls from him, they can surely identify that the man was indeed their partner from another district. 

"Soarin!" Rainbow Dash yelled back, lowering Sunset's ax to make way towards the door. 

The rainbow-haired teen didn't hesitate to back away and let Twilight input in emergency code. Instead, she quickly clicked the right codes to open the door. 

Applejack gasped and pulled her away before Rainbow could even press the last button, looking right in her magenta eyes as their eyes met for a quick second. 

"W-we can't be too sure! Have you seen what's been happenin' out there, Rainbow?!" The cowgirl nervously asked her crewmate. 

Rainbow Dash gritted her teeth and pull her hand back. "And that's why we need to let him in! now that Soarin's finally here we can figure out what the hell is that glowing thing in the skies!"

"How did he even get past our security?" Twilight added to break her two friends apart. 

"I use the security code you gave me, idiots! Now please let me in!"

The angered teen finally pressed the last digit in the code, making the door slide open in opposite directions. 

And there they saw the lead captain in District 2, Soarin Skies. He had blood all over his uniform, scratches on both his arms and one of his eye were glowing a light green color. 

But as soon as the doors opened, he suddenly lost balance and fell inside the room, groaning in pure pain which made the girls watch her in shock. 

"S-Soarin!" Twilight gasped, kneeling down to help her fellow captain get back to his feet. "What's happening, are you okay?!" 

Soarin Skies nodded his head 'yes' to answer the captain, placing a hand on Rainbow Dash's shoulder to make her look back.

"Thank God for your all okay! Is anybody else here, or is it just you 7?!" He stuttered in a weakened voice. 

The 7 girls looked at him in slight confusion. But for Rainbow Dash, she looks a lot more worried than the rest of her team. 

Sunset Shimmer placed her ax on the desk before running up to the District 2 captain. "Yeah, why would we have someone unauthorized here? But what happened to you man?!" 

"Something bizarre exploded in the skies.. I supposed you girls already saw it." He answered while seating down on the ground. 

Rainbow followed and sat beside him. "That doesn't explain what happened to you. I mean, your freaking bleeding!" 

"That's not important cadet.. That thing out there, it made all of my team turn against each other.. I watched them murder each other in cold blood." Soarin cried, gritting his teeth as the vision of the past came to his mind. 

"Are you okay? Did they hurt you?" Sunset worriedly asked. 

Soarin faked a chuckle. "I am. But no worries, me and Spitfire managed to escape before they could attack us."  He replied before facing Twilight. "Look, whatever's out there made people attack each other.." 

"But.." Rainbow Dash muttered as she glanced around the room. "Where's Spitfire, I thought she was with you?" 

Her crewmates wondered the same question which made them question the blue-haired captain too. But all Soarin responded was painful coughing. 

Minutes later, he finally answered. "Spitfire's fine, I told her to go alert the others in district 3 and 4. And I also gave her some protection from those.. savages. I supposed you already heard of them."

"We saw it alright, but why? Those innocent people only looked at the strange aura in the skies!" Applejack added, tipping the edge of her hat to cover her face. 

"That's the problem. We're still figuring out why people suddenly act so violently when they gaze upon the aura.." Soarin facepalmed, sounding disappointed. 

"But.. We looked at the aura in the footage. How come we didn't turn into savages?" Fluttershy softly questioned. 

"Its because you need direct contact with the aura in the skies in order for its radiation to rush through your veins just by looking at it.. Long enough, I guess." 

Pinkie pie stepped up. "What happened to your right eye, sir?" 

Soarin quickly covered it with his palm, giving Pinkie a weak smile. "Its nothing, kid." 

The man shook his thoughts away before standing up again to face the District 1 captain, Twilight Sparkles. 

He offered her his phone, showing a text conversation of him and the leaders of the lead headquarters. 

"What is this?" Twilight asked, grabbing the phone from her friend. 

"The command of Captain Celestia, I don't know why she's giving this task to us bu-" 

Before Soarin could even finish, Twilight suddenly let out a shocking gasp as well with her eyes going wide after reading the highlighted messages. 

"They're sending us to space?!" She nervously asked, almost shouting at the blue-haired man.

The rest of the girls gasped at the announcement, running up to Twilight to check the message for themselves. 

"This message was sent from the headquarters.. Captain Celestia won't allow us to do such a thing, right?" Rainbow Dash in a worried tone in her voice. 

Beside her was Fluttershy, leaning closer to Twilight to read the messages. "But we're still in training, The leading experts should do this mission, not us!" 

"You haven't read all of the messages, Fluttershy." Applejack sighed before swiping down into the convo. 

And there they saw a shocking picture sent by Captain Celestia herself. It shows a blurred picture of the second leading district in the land of Equestria. 

That's not all. The 7 teens can identify that the red liquid scattered in the wall behind them was blood. Behind them was also showing 4 blurred men chasing after the two leaders. 

They had blood all over their faces and their uniform was torn out. It looks like one of the ones they called savages was someone Twilight knew. 

"That's.." She stuttered in shock, shakily pointing a finger to the savage on the left. "My brother.." 

Applejack's eyes widened. "No, that cant be Shining Armor!" She snatched the phone from Twilight's hands. 

The cowgirl didn't wanna admit it after she took a closer look at the picture. It was true, the second leading commander was infected. 

The Rainbow-haired teen gritted her teeth and hid her face in her arms, hiding her emotions to avoid showing weakness to her friends. 

But she wasn't the only one, the rest of the girls started to cry in this unexpected pandemic. All who stayed strong were Applejack, Sunset Shimmer, and Soarin Skies. 

But that didn't stop the 3 from taking any actions before their base could get invaded. Both girls ran to the control panel and sounded the alarm to get everyone's attention. 

"Girls, snap out of it!" Applejack firstly yelled out.

Followed by Sunset Shimmer. "Look we don't know what the hell is going out there but we can't just sit around and watch people get killed through the cams!" 

And lastly was the 2nd district's captain. "We have to follow Captain Celestia's mission before its too late!" 

Rainbow snapped out of her thoughts before charging at Soarin, pinning him to the wall which showed her crying yet angered face. 

"Do what, go out there in space to kill ourselves?! Face it Soarin, were still in training! We're all gonna die to that thing in the skies!"

The cowgirl quickly took a hold of her raging friend, pulling her into a tight comforting hug to somehow make her calm down. 

"Calm down, Dash! No one said we're all gonna die!" 

Rainbow didn't listen. Instead, she suddenly pushed Applejack away, running near a window afterward. 

"What the hell is that thing supposed to be? Heck, I might as well be a savage then get killed by one!" 

"Rainbow Dash, no!" Twilight shouted while running to her friend. 

But she was too late. Rainbow Dash managed to break the thin piece of metal covering the window to show what's outside. 

And there she saw that the green aura in the skies has become bigger compared to the last time they saw it, making the athletic teen's eyes go wide. 

Her team covered their eyes and took cover from the exposed lighting. But for Rainbow Dash, she only stood there, still looking directly at the monstrosity formed in the skies. 

"R-Rainbow, look away goddammit!" Yelled Applejack. 

Sadly, Rainbow didn't listen to any of her friends warning. Pure fear was now shown in her face as her body started to tremble uncontrollably. 

The purple haired teen couldn't take cover anymore, she knew someone needed to close the window's opening in order for Rainbow to stop. 

But before she could even take her first step into the shining radiation of the aura, she noticed that one of her friend's gaze was upon the aura, same with Rainbow Dash.

"Pinkie pie, no! Look away!" Rarity tackled her friend to the ground, covering her eyes with her palm. 

With Rarity still pinning her friend down, Applejack had no other choice but to get Rainbow Dash herself.

The blonde teen then stepped away from the cover before running up to the frozen teen near the window. 

"You idiot!" lastly cried, charging Rainbow Dash to pin her to the ground. "You total idiot! Why would you do that?!" 

After Rainbow got out of the way, Twilight quickly took the chance to board up the exposed window with a spare metal sheet beside the panel.

Meanwhile with Rainbow and Applejack, the poor traumatize teen just stayed silent with her eyes still widened. 

But when Applejack noticed something odd, she suddenly stopped yelling sense to her friend as she slowly cupped Rainbow's cheeks.

"Oh no.." She gasped when she saw Rainbow's right eye was turning in into light green color. 

A tear formed in her eye before pulling her friend into a tight hug. "Darn ya, Dash! Speak up, idiot!" She continued crying. 

Soarin then kneeled down in front of them, gently taking Rainbow Dash from Applejack's arms. 

"Her eye, its turning green like Soarin!" Fluttershy gasped the same with Rarity and Pinkie pie. 

"No, this should be fine." Soarin sighed while standing up with Rainbow being carried in his arms. 

"What do you mean its okay, she nearly died because of that!" Applejack was quick to argue.

The man moved his head, saying 'no' to Applejack. "This is nothing, it's only the first stage but were are not turning into one of them." 

Pinkie pie backed away, sounding terrified in her sobs. "Y-you two might kill us. What if you turn into savages!?" 

"Relax kid! Some of us are immune and I'm one of them.." He started, looking down at Rainbow's shocked frozen reaction. "Rainbow's probably gonna pass out any minute now, but I can sure you were not infected." 

"Wait, did anybody looked at the aura  besides Rainbow Dash?!" Twilight asked her crewmates. 

When Rarity was about to reply, Pinkie pie suddenly covered her mouth, mouthing the words "Don't" without talking. 

Rarity nodded in agreement and just pulled her friend into a tight hug. Now that they have confirmation from Soarin, they can be sure that none of them got infected by looking at it for that quick.

Moments later, Rainbow eventually passed out as another tear dripped down her face. 

"We need to move now. I already told district 3 about our mission, they're setting up their spacecraft." Soarin brought back the mission at hand. 

Twilight nodded, looking at her friends with a serious look. "I guess we have to pack valuable things for the mission." She started, looking back to Soarin after. "But wait, who's waiting for us there?" 

"Trixie, Spitfire, and some of the members in District 3. They should be calling us right now but I guess they have their own problems." 

Everybody agreed and followed Twilights' orders. Fluttershy and Pinkie pie was tasked to pack the emergency spacesuits, Sunset and Twilight checked the wires in the laboratory to see if they can reboot the whole lighting, and Soarin continued dialing the rest of his team to have confirmation. 

But as for Rainbow Dash and Applejack, the cowgirl stayed by her side, gently stroking Rainbow's hair. 

"I got you, don't worry.." Applejack whispered to her sleeping friend.
