This is my first time writing a oneshot- this feels surreal and so new uh- This is an Eggcheese/CheeseEgg Oneshot so feel free to skip this if ever you don't like the ship- This is also for 900+ views! Very close to 1k views/reads! Consider this story a 1k Special for you guys :D

This might be a bit angsty (not sure if that is it tho-) but it will have some fluff.

For the sake of the storyline, TheGentleMan and Mr. Cheese were never together.

•Mr. Cheese's POV
This was probably the worst day of my life I thought. Today is the day TheGentleMan rejected me. why? did I do something wrong? I thought.

•FlashBack•

I was waiting for TheGentleMan to arrive at the reactor.Why? Because today is when im gonna confess to him. I was very nervous yet I did know that he would most likely accept I mean.. I am one of the only people he's close too anyway. "I'm here!" TheGentleMan said. "H- Hi TheGentleman.. I- I wanted to uhm.. tell you something.." I said, stuttering. "Hm? what could that be?" TheGentleMan wondered. "I- I like you! not just as a friend nor just being a business associate but- a- as in like- a couple way.." I confessed to him. TheGentleMan had a shocked face as I said it. "Im sorry Mr. Cheese but- I can't accept your feelings back, I like someone else."  TheGentleMan said. I felt my heart shatter. "W-wait! Who do y-you even like??" I asked while getting teary eyed. "W-well.. I like Mr. Egg." TheGentleMan Confessed. I can't believe it, even after all we've been through together he would rather like Mr. Egg than him. "H-Him?! Out of all people?! TheGentleMan, WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH TOGETHER AND YET YOU CHOOSE HIM?!" I exclaim as I cry. "I- Im sorry Mr. Cheese, even if I did like you I wouldn't think it as a relationship type of way.. I- I think we're better off as friends." TheGentleMan said. After he said that I decided to run away from him, I didn't know where to run nor where I was even going to but all I know is that I wanted to stay away from TheGentleMan as soon as possible. A few minutes later.. I got tired from running so I sat down at the floor in the Office.

•End of Flashback•

It's been a few hours ever since it happened. I was still sitting at the cold hard floor of the Office. I was quietly sobbing the whole time, I had a bunch of thoughts in my head. Why did he choose Mr. Egg? Why did he pick him? Did I do something wrong? Is it because im annoying? Did I not give him enough? These thoughts were whirling in my head.

•Mr. Egg's POV

I was at security checking the camera's like usual, sitting down and looking around to see if everyone has been doing their tasks and aren't just being a lazy bum. I don't really do much for the crew and I was done with my tasks anyway. As I was checking the camera's I heard someone scream. "H-Him?! Out of all people?! TheGentleMan, WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH TOGETHER AND YET YOU CHOOSE HIM?!" Mr. Cheese yelled. I was about to stand up from my seat and go to the location of the scream to check what was going on when I saw Mr. Cheese dashing out of Reactor. As I went inside reactor I saw TheGentleMan, He had a face of pity, I guess something bad must've happened between those two.. "Uhm Sir, what happened?" I asked, politely. "Oh, Mr. Egg.. W-well he uh.." TheGentleMan stuttered out. "L-look Mr. Egg uh- I wanted to ask this to you for quite a long time now.. and uhm." TheGentleMan Said. Why was he stuttering so much? I thought. "I like you Mr. Egg, more than being a business associate. I would like to be more than just that." TheGentleMan Confessed. I was shocked, I didn't think anyone else would like me in this ship to be honest.. But.. I didn't really like him back.. I didn't wanna reject him either but.. I liked someone else, someone who just ran away from my vision last time, Mr. Cheese. "I- im sorry sir but.. I cannot return back your feelings.. im truly sorry." I said. "O- oh... It's alright Mr. Egg.. I knew it was too soon to begin with." TheGentleMan sighed. I can tell he didn't like my response but I had no choice but to reject him. "Please, do take care of Mr. Cheese for me.." TheGentleMan said walking out of reactor. After he walked out I got worried, not because I rejected him but because of Mr. Cheese's sudden dash out of the hall earlier. I know it may not be my business but I must know if he is alright so I walked out of reactor to find him.

—A few minutes later...

I was walking around, looking for him. For Mr. Cheese. It has been a few minutes now and I've visited half of the map already. I was about to give up when I hear the sounds of sobbing near the office. I checked the office to see Mr. Cheese curled up and crying in his arms. What happened to him?... I thought. I walked slowly but surely to see if he was okay and sat beside him. W- what are you d- doing here?!" Mr. Cheese exclaims while jumping a bit from my sudden presence. "I came looking for you. I heard you yelling from Security earlier and wanted to check if you were alright, it seems tho you are not im afraid.." I said to him. He looks at me, his face filled with sadness. I cannot help but feel sympathetic towards him.

•Mr. Cheese's POV

I was still here, in the office. Curled up and crying in my arms. This is the end, isn't it? Should I end this? Should I end it all? If I can't have love then.. what's the use?.. All these thoughts were filling my head until..I feel a presence near me? I shot my head up and looked beside me to see Mr. Egg. I jumped from his sudden presence near me. He looked sympathetic and sincere.. Ugh, him? The one he picked.. I thought. "W- what are you doing here?!" I exclaimed. "I came looking for you. I heard you yelling from Security earlier and wanted to check if you were alright, it seems tho you are not im afraid.." He says with sincerity. I can't help but feel as if im safe being near him.. as if it's okay to just- tell him my problems.. "I- I guess I can tell you everything but-" I stopped, I was scared. I didn't wanna tell him, The one that took him away from me, my problems. "It's okay, you don't need to tell me.. I think I already know why." Mr. Egg says. I flinch a bit. "T-then... tell me." I say in a pretty aggressive way. "Well.. Im guessing that you confessed to TheGentleMan today perhaps?.." Mr. Egg says. I was shocked. He said he only heard my yelling.. how did he know the rest?.. "Wait.. How did you know?.." I ask him. "Well, just after you dashed away here I went to reactor to see if you two were okay and- TheGentleMan kinda- uhm.." Mr. Egg stutters out. I was confused.. What did TheGentleMan do?.. why was he afraid to tell me?.. I held his hand and said "Please, tell me. I'd like to know." I say as politely as ever. "You might kill me after this but.. He confessed to me, he said he loved me and I-" Before I let him (Mr. Egg) say his last words I say "So are you just gonna brag that he likes you more than me? is that it?" I say aggressively, having tears in my eyes and ready punch him in the face if ever. "N- No! That's not it! I- I rejected his confession.." Mr. Egg says. I was.. confused, shocked and some way.. happy? I was confused because Mr. Egg is literally so perfect.. And so is TheGentleMan, why wouldn't he like TheGentleMan back?.. I wiped my tears. "O- oh sorry for tensing up.. but uh, why did you reject him? You two looks so.. in a way.. perfect for each other.. Why would you reject such an offer?" I ask.

•Mr. Egg's POV

After he asked me that question I froze, I froze from my position. How am I suppose to tell him that I like him?.. I thought. I suppose this has to happen soon, I can't hide it from him any longer than I should have... I thought. "M- Mr. Cheese I- It's just- I uhm-" I stuttered, I kept stuttering. "It's okay, you can tell me. I won't tell anybody else." Mr. Cheese says with a small smile on his face. Why does he have to be so adorable? I thought. Instead of telling him I held his hands and dragged him with me near Security. I was running, Running with him and holding his hands tightly. He had a confused look on his face. "Uh.. where are we going?-" Mr. Cheese asks. "J-Just hold on.." I say to him. He nods. Once we were near Security I stopped running and took my hands off him. I look at him, I was nervous. He will obviously reject me.. I stole someone he loved. Why would he love someone who stole from him, right?.. I thought. "So uhm, can you tell me why you dragged me here Mr. Egg?.." Mr. Cheese asks. I couldn't hold it any longer.. I had to, I've come so far. "Mr. Cheese, I- I like you.. This might be very sudden and probably confusing but I always had liked you. I-Im sorry if this is such a sudden-" I was about to finish my confession when he.. hugged me?...

•Mr. Cheese's POV

I was confused.. why was he dragging me to- Security?.. Once we were near Security he stopped running and took his hands of me. Seriously, what's happening? I thought. "So uhm, can you tell me why you dragged me here Mr. Egg?" I asked him, I was curious why he would randomly just drag me here after just- talking to me and everything. I needed answers. "Mr. Cheese, I- I like you.. This might be very sudden and probably confusing but I had always liked you. I-Im sorry if this is such a sudden-" Before I let him (Mr. Egg) finish his sentence I hugged him. I can't really deny it but.. I had always liked him second.. next to TheGentleMan of course. It's just- I didn't think he would like me back so I focused more with TheGentleMan than him. "Uhh, Mr. Cheese?.." Mr. Egg says with confusion in his tone of voice. "I accept your confession." I say looking at him. His eyes were getting teary, he was smiling. "W- wait.. is that true?..." Mr. Egg asks to be assured that what he just heard from me was true. "Of course! Even if I did like TheGentleMan.. You were always second next to him." I say to him in a happy tone. He was having tears of joy and I couldn't help but do the same. The next thing you know..

He grabs my waist and kisses me, he needed to lean down because im smaller compared to him. I had to reach for his neck to kiss him farther tho..I closed my eyes for the experience. He has soft lips- I thought. We were like that for a few seconds I suppose maybe... 10 seconds?.. Once we needed air we took a break and stopped. After panting from that we started laughing. "Haha, that was eggcellent!" Mr. Egg says. "Quit with the puns! it's too cheesy for me to handle!" I say, making a pun of my own. "Alright, Alright.. so I guess that means?.." Mr. Egg says. "Yes, Yes we are." I assure him that we, are officially together. As I say that I noticed that the security camera was recording the whole thing the whole time! "OH NO.. THE CAMERAS-" I say with panic in my voice. Mr. Egg tilts his head in confusion then turns around to see that it was recording the whole time. "OH DEAR.." Mr. Egg panics.  As he panics for a few seconds, we hear voices near us.  "Vet, did we get it?" Player says. "Yep! got em Play-play!" Veteran says. "EEE! Im so excited to rewatch that scene again!" Gnome says. "Guys, they can hear us." Engineer says. "Welp, I guess everyone will know.." Mr. Egg sighs. "Hey, atleast they know they won't steal you from me." I say to him in a jokester way. "Mhm, that's something." Mr. Egg says. After that talk we decided to talk to Player, Veteran, Gnome and Engineer the whole time.

I guess..this day wasn't as bad as I thought. I thought to myself.
