These days, things were a lot different.

TheGentleman had left from anyone's lives. No one knew where he was, but what was known was that he and Mr. Cheese had broken up before he disappeared.

Those that saw it would say it was an explosive argument. Mr. Cheese, however, would say it was nothing different than he'd seen coming. Their relationship had always been rocky at best. He was a lone cheese.

Mr. Cheese was walking in a park. He liked this place, especially during the spring time. There was always a nice air to it, and there was a lake nearby. This lake was a nice spot in the summer, especially with how it felt if one jumped in. But during the evening, it was always a beautiful place, especially when the moon was in the sky.

He made his way to the lake. He scanned his eyes across the rocks around. "Ooh, this one looks like a block 'o cheese." He giggled to himself. He went past it, continuing to look at the rocks. He found a few good stones to skip across the lake.

He got a few skips from a few of the rocks, before he noticed a second rock go next to his. Before turning, he mumbled "Take that, you freakin' lake..."

It was Mr. Egg, a former rival of his. The two of them had been getting along a lot better now that TheGentleman was no longer in either of their sights, but there was a little bit of tension. Mr. Egg had recently become single himself.

"It's a nice evening, isn't it, Mr. Cheese?" Mr. Egg asked, noticing the shorter finally noticing him.

"You betcha." Mr. Cheese said, throwing another rock.

"You get more skip time if you do this." Mr. Egg said, throwing a rock and making it go a bit further.

"Oh, c'mon, it's not like I'd need your advice." Mr. Cheese laughed. He tossed a rock, using Mr. Egg's advice, and it went even further than Mr. Egg's.

"You know, I do wish we didn't have all this tension." Mr. Egg said. "Do we even need it anymore?" He tossed another rock, and started to look for more. He put a rock that he found in his pocket after staring at it.

"Considering you once were with TheGentleman, maybe." Mr. Cheese replied. He tossed another. "Ha! Record!" He laughs.

"Weren't we both?" Mr. Egg points out. "And we see where that has lead us."

"And weren't you with Cyan, or whatever his name was?" Mr. Cheese asked.

"Well.....Yeah, but not for long. We were better as close friends. We're still friends." Mr. Egg shrugged.

Mr. Cheese skipped another rock on the lake before watching Mr. Egg look for the rocks.

He never noticed it before, but Mr. Egg wasn't as ugly as he had always said. Besides, the ugly jokes were more to try to keep him away from TheGentleman. In fact, he didn't look half bad....He never really did.

Mr. Cheese blinked, then realizing what he'd just thought. Mr. Egg? Cute? Well, it's not like-

"Mr. Cheese?" Mr. Egg's voice caught him out of his thoughts. "You there?"

"Oh, what? Yea, yeah. Just daydreaming." Mr. Cheese shrugged.

"Daydreaming? Well, you do tend to do that. It's kind of cute....Wait. Did I just say that out loud?" Mr. Egg stopped for a moment, seeming to think.

Mr. Cheese took a moment to realize too. "Yep. You did, dork." He laughed.

"Well, I- Hm." Mr. Egg was quiet for a moment. He saw Mr. Cheese come a bit closer.

"Y'know, you're actually pretty cute yourself." Mr. Cheese said.

"..Come again?" Mr. Egg asked, a tone of uncertainty showing itself.

"You heard me. I think you're cute too." Mr. Cheese said, his confidence rising. He giggled. "Or are you a dummy that needs it a third time?"

"..Perhaps I may." Mr. Egg joked.

The two of them began to playfully bicker between each other. It wasn't long before Mr. Cheese made another comment.

"So, tell me this." Mr. Cheese said, smirking up at Mr. Egg. "What's stoppin' ya from just kissing me right here, right now?"

Mr. Egg looked at the smaller man, thinking for a moment. He then kissed Mr. Cheese for a moment before smirking right back. "Absolutely nothing."

"That's what I thought. C'mere, tall boy." Mr. Cheese teased, the two of them kissing again underneath the night sky, the moon reflecting on the lake's water.

"How about we go get some food and head to my place?" Mr. Cheese suggested.

"That's eggsactly what I was thinking."
