"So the target should be in this building." Angel said quietly as she approached a hotel building. She was looking at her phone.
"Dear, are you sure?" Cyan asked. "We can't let this one get muddled up. We've both got people to go back to."
Angel nodded. "Yep. We're home free if we get through with this mission. Our client is gonna basically pay us enough to live comfy for a year anyway."
Cyan nodded. "Alright. I'll follow your lead."
-
As soon as the intended mission began, the mission ended cleanly. It always helped to have an Impostor on your side.
"That one's going down as the smoothest one we've had yet, darling!" Cyan said, satisfied with how it went.
"Oh definitely. C'mon. We gotta get out of here." Angel said, tugging her friend's arm.
Cyan walked with Angel. As they walked, he looked at her. "Hey, would you like to stop my house for a little while tonight?"
Angel nodded. "Oh, sure! I haven't gotten to catch up with you and Veteran lately anyway." She smiled in her sweet, innocent way.
"Ah, yeah." Cyan chuckled. "His streams are getting pretty popular lately."
"Oh! That's wonderful. I'm sure he won't mind a visit." Angel said.
Cyan giggled. "I have an idea."
-
"Oh! Creamsoda75 just donated 2500 Pieces? Hell yeah!" Veteran called out as he was looking at his stream. "Yeah, dude, we'll be doing this till I get tired!"
A knock was on Veteran's room's door causing him to turn. "Yeah?"
Cyan peeked his head in the door. "Oh, you're streaming- Sorry, darling."
"Nah, dude, it's fine. What's up?" Veteran asked.
"Oh, I just have a surprise for you." Cyan said. He gestured to Angel to come in behind him.
Angel squealed happily and the two hug as Veteran stood up. His back cracked under the tightness of Angel's hug.
"Hey, Angel! What's up? Been a bit!" Veteran laughed happily.
"Oh, you know, the usual business." Angel shrugged. "Decided to drop by."
Cyan checked the stream chat as Veteran was busy and chuckled. "So your chat's going crazy knowing you have a sister."
"Dude, remember how they freaked out when we made that announcement together?" Veteran laughed.
Cyan laughed too. "Dear. Do you think I'd forget?"
Angel looked to her friend and brother. "What was it?"
"We can talk 'bout it later, Ang." Veteran said. He lightly laughed.
"Hey, watch this." Angel grinned before picking Veteran up and holding him. "No problem."
"Hey! What's that for?" Veteran called out.
Cyan chuckled. "Okay, Angie, put him down. He's got a stream to get back to. Let's head back to the other room."
Angel giggled and set him down. "Alright." She and Cyan left the room.
"FireTires donated 1000 Pieces. 'Your boyfriend is absolute gender envy.' Yep, he totally is, and I love 'em for it." Veteran said.
-
Cyan and Angel sat in the living room, Angel enjoying a bag of chips that Cyan allowed her to finish off.
"So, dear...How are you and Mother doing lately?" Cyan asked. "I haven't gotten to ask. Then again, neither of us have had a lot of time to talk in the past few months."
Angel lightly blushed and giggled. "Oh, ah...about that. Timmy and Franklin actually will both be big brothers someday. Mother noticed some things and checked herself. I didn't get to tell you since we last got to sit like this."
Cyan smiled. "Congratulations, darling!"
"Heh." Angel smiled. "I guess that saying of 1% isn't 0% came true."
"I'd guess it did, dear." Cyan giggled. "How is she doing? You?"
"I'm doing awesome. Mother's handling. She seems so happy teaching her boys..."
Cyan smiled. "I suppose I shouldn't keep you here too long, then, dear."
"Oh, that's fine." Angel made a dismissive hand motion. "She knew I had things to do tonight."
"How far along is she?" Cyan asked.
"Ah, about six months." Angel said.
The two of them chatted for a while before Angel decided to actually go home.
--
Angel silently opened the door to her house and went to her bedroom. Mother had fallen asleep hours ago, as it was about 3am when Angel arrived, but Mother began to stir.
"Oh, heya..." Mother said sleepily, causing Angel to look over.
"Hi, love..." Angel smiled. "Didn't mean to wake you."
"Ah, ya didn't wake me." Mother said passively, softly smiling. "Kiddo's moving around."
Angel smiled softly as she put her things down and got ready for bed, soon laying in bed next to Mother.
"They've already gotcha wrapped on their fingers, dontcha think?" Mother asked, chuckling as Angel put a hand on her belly.
Angel looked up to Mother. "And? Would there be a problem with that?"
"Of course not." Mother replied, giving a soft kiss to Angel. She yawned.
Angel held Mother close to her and began to softly hum. As Mother relaxed in the other's arms, Angel began to softly sing lyrics to a soft song. True to her name, she had the voice of an angel, lulling Mother to sleep softly as her hand was over Mother's belly.
"Sleep well, my loves."
