Comeuppance... Sorta

Well, that episode was something.

A GTG mod that ends up in the actual canon timeline. Well, I suppose it's not the first time, since the Vor- I mean Fat Impostor episode existed.

Player getting kicked in the dick (metaphorically speaking) was a sight to behold. Treating him like an actual stranger and actually somewhat tarnishing the relationships that they've already built between him and Veteran and the lot. (Although we all know that won't last)

"People will praise me because I won a game and 'definitely' didn't come across as a complete dickhead the entire time I was away."

"Wait, why are you shunning me away? You're the ones that are assholes."

These quotes aren't actually from the episode but it shows Player's obliviousness and ignorance still present, which I still hate, as do the rest of you lovely lot (platonically, of course).

I'm glad GT are recognising this, and I hope future Player takes it down a notch, especially what he's witnessed at the very beginning.

Wizard being back and Player actually siding and teaming up with him is both ironic and amazing. I think the backstab at the end was necessary, tbh, because:

1) He was the Impostor and Player, with lady luck on his side, wasn't.

2) The reasons mentioned above.

Also, loving the continuity of some things mentioned and referenced, such as Captain rambling about comparing characteristics to various animals from the last episode and Veteran referring to his weight, which was the main focus in Fat Imposter. Also, the fact that you didn't know that Wizard was an Impostor until the very end was a neat callback to the very first AUL, where Stoner took that role.

I hope this is the start of GT's redemption for Player's character arc and not just leave it there, because this is certainly the way to go forward.

I haven't really done a verdict before, so I guess I'll give it a 7/10.

P.S. I predicted that the new vent task would show up in this one on Discord. 😎
