Lights Out
Charis' POV
I swiped my card.
Too fast.
I did it again.
Too slow.
I tried again.
Bad read.
I TRIED AGAIN!
Lol, you suck.
"STUPID CARD!" I screamed.
Somebody tapped me on the shoulders.
I swirled around, but it was only the cyan crew mate.
"Oh, hello, Nina," I said.
She held out her hand, and I handed her the card.
Nina swiped the card.
Success.
"Thanks," I said. "I'm usually really good at it."
"No problem," she said. "And I promise I won't tell anyone."
"What are you looking at?" I asked.
"The admin screen," she said. "If an icon flashes, that means somebody died."
"Cool," I said.
"It doesn't show exactly who, but if it flashes and gets reported soon after, it's probably a self report." She said.
"You're a little more chatty than usual," I said.
"Yeah, well, I usually talk to Artemis the most," she said. "I do better when it's only two people talking."
"Anyways, I'm going to head back to security," I said, just as I saw Clyde spying on us.
I probably should call an emergency meeting and eject this guy.
"Alright," she said. "Have fun,"
I began walking away, but just as I was right next to Nina, the lights went out.
I froze, I couldn't see anything, not even Nina, who was right next to me.
Am I next? Will Clyde kill me?
I gasped for breath, scared for my life.
Then the lights went back on, and I let out a sigh of relief.
"Whew, that was a close one," I said under my breath, turning to look at Nina.
Nina?
I looked down to see Nina, her neck broken, on the ground, dead.
No. Clyde... he- he killed her.
Then I looked up, and saw Clyde staring at me.
Along with Bianca and Roman who were looking at me suspiciously.
Oh no...
Lady_StellaTheWoof is actually a pro at card swipe. This was for comic relief.
This comic scene was before Knives Out
NEXT CHAPTER: GUNS OUT
