Rain Check

Ryan and Brendon were getting ready to go back to the room as the day started coming to an end. They had a pretty relaxing day. They talked a lot, shared stories. Brendon sang a little. It was really nice.

"I thought I'd find you here." Ryan frowned as the two boys turned to see Kenny standing in the doorway.

"Oh great. You're here," Ryan sighed sarcastically. "What do you want?" Kenny shrugged and took a few steps into the room.

"Just here to cash in my rain check with Klaus is all." He grinned innocently at Brendon. The boy had to fight back a grimace. "So if you wanna finish up in here then we can get going."

"Going where?" Brendon asked. He tried not to sound as nervous as he felt.

"You'll see." The grin shifted into a smirk. "I'll wait for you in the hall."

"You alright?" Ryan placed a gentle hand on Brendon's shoulder. Brendon took a deep breath and nodded.

"Yeah, I'm fine. We knew this was gonna happen sooner or later. It's good to just get it over with," he finished with a shrug. "I'll see you back in the room, yeah?" Ryan nodded quickly.

"Of course." With another nod, Brendon walked out into the hallway where Kenny was waiting for him.

"So what are we going to do?" Kenny started leading them down the hall.

"Not much. Just gonna go through some paperwork."

"Paperwork for what?" Kenny threw a devilish grin over his shoulder.

"You'll see." They continued through the building in silence. Kenny finally stopped at a door. They were in a part of the building that Dave never took him to before. "Here we are."

Brendon looked confused as they went in. There were filing cabinets along one wall, computers along the other and three tables down the center of the room.

"What's this?" Brendon looked around the room with his brows furrowed and his mouth in a slight frown.

"This," Kenny started as he walked over to a cabinet and pulled open a drawer. "Are records of every reported homosexual act, intention and person in the country." Brendon's eyes scanned the files wedged into the drawer. His gaze moved over the other cabinets that were most likely filled with other reports.

"This one is all the reports from the town we picked you up in." Kenny pulled out a worn file that was too thick for the folder. Brendon's heart was pounding in his chest. The two walked over to a table and Kenny started sorting through the papers.

"We have separate section. These are the people who we still need to visit," he said as he made a stack. Brendon focused on Kenny's movements. He didn't want to let himself remember his own visit. "Those who we have in the building." He squeezed his eyes shut at the thought of people being held captive here. "And those who have been taken care of."

Brendon swallowed the lump in his throat as he opened his eyes and saw the three stacks Kenny created. He was relieved to see the stack of those "taken care of" was the smallest. He noticed in the folder extra papers.

"What are those?" Kenny still had on his wicked grin and he pull the papers in front of Brendon. Brendon read the title and forced down a shiver wanting to crawl down his spin.

Wanted: Find and Kill

He skimmed over through the list of names. His stomach clenched when he spotted a few familiar one. He was ready to puke when his eyes landed on one name.

Brendon Boyd Urie.

"They are the ones who managed to get away from us." He let out a shaky breath. "Recognize any names?"

"What?" Brendon's eyes widened. "Why would I know any of them?"

"Because you lived in the town." Oh, right. That makes sense. "Why are you so nervous?" He could see right through Kenny's faux concern.

"Just... the thought of so many of these people out there. It's disgusting you know," Brendon spilled out quickly.

"Right." Kenny eyed Brendon carefully before gathering the papers and putting them back into the folder. "Can you put that away?"

With a nod, Brendon got up and took the file to the cabinet. He could feel Kenny following close behind him. He carefully closed the drawer until it gave a soft click noise. Before he turned around, he was pinned roughly to the cabinet.

"What the hell are y-Ahh," Brendon cried when his arms were twisted and pinned to his back. He squeezed his eyes shut when he felt Kenny press his front against Brendon's ass.

"I know you're not who you say you are," Kenny spoke against his ear. "And when I prove it, I'm gonna make sure I'm the one who gets to pull the trigger." Brendon bit his lip to contain a whimper. How did he get himself in this position again?

"You're right, people like you are disgusting." Brendon could feel the man get hard as he was grinned against. "What you do is unnatural. How can you love this?" Brendon's bottom lip quivered as a small cry slipped his lips.

"Last time I checked, you're the one with the boner, not me," he retaliated. One hand disappeared from his arm and moved up to grip his hair. It pulled it back a little before slammed his head against the metal cabinet in front of him. His head began buzzing with pain.

"You might be fighting your urges now, but you can't hold back for long." What was it with homophobes thinking gays want to screw every same sex person out there? He hadn't noticed the hand slipping out of his hair and trailing down his front.

He jerked we the hand cupped the front of his pants. Brendon's body went into panic mode and he began struggling to loosen Kenny's hold on him.

"Fucking admit this is what you like." Brendon managed to free an arm enough to throw back his elbow into the man's gut. Kenny stumbled back, clenching his stomach and groaning in pain. Brendon turned and shoved Kenny down before he could pin him down again.

"You're fucking sick. Don't touch me again or I'll make sure everyone knows you're the gay one here." He quickly ran out of the room. He didn't remember how to get back to the room and started down various hallways.

He found himself whimpering out for help, hoping his roommates would hear his weak calls. His body was still pumping from the adrenaline, so he hadn't had time to think about what just happened to him very much.

He tensed when a hand wrapped around his wrist. He jerked away quickly and spun around. He instantly relaxed when he saw it was only Dave.

"It's just me. You're okay." It seemed that he's been needing to be told that a lot recently.

"How'd you find me?"

"Well, Ryan told me Kenny took you somewhere, so I've been wandering the halls trying to find you." Brendon was too grateful to be upset that he needed to be looked after so much. "Let me take you back to the room okay?" Brendon nodded and wrapped his arms around himself for comfort.

Dave guided him through the foreign halls until they made it back to the room. When they walked in, a voice came from the room.

"Did you find him?" The voice was followed by a nervous looking boy hurrying out of the room. Brendon kept his head low as he headed for his bed.

"He was clear on the the other side of the building."

"What were you doing there? Where did Kenny take you?" Brendon sat on the bed with Ryan and Dave sandwiching him.

"Records," he replied in a monotone voice. He kept his eyes down to the floor.

"Rec- oh." Brendon felt his heart finally calm down as a numb feeling settled in his body. He wanted to feel happy that he was with two people he could trust. He wanted to scream for what Kenny did to him. He wanted to feel something, but just stared expressionless at the ground.

He felt one of the guys slowly push him down. He didn't even bother to stop it. His head was soon resting on a lap. He peeked up and saw Ryan's worried face looking down at him.

"What did you two do there?" Dave asked. Brendon stared at the wall across the room, not changing his straight face.

"He tried to prove that I was gay by forcing himself onto me." A gasp sounded from above him.

"D-did he..." Ryan's voice was shaky. There was a sigh of relief when Brendon shook his head on the older boy's lap. A hand ran through his hair. It was gentler than the previous one that was there. Ryan's fingers dragged slowly over his scalp.

"I pushed him off and ran away before anything went too far." Brendon shut his eyes, liking the way Ryan's hand moved through his hair. It didn't take long for him to doze off. He woke up later to the sound of hushed whispers.

"Is he okay?" Brendon had been moved into a different position than before. His body was stretched out along the bed. He could feel himself pressed up against another body. His hand was gripping the front of someone's shirt. He could feel a steady heartbeat against his ear.

"He's fine, just needs to rest. He's been through a lot, the poor thing." He felt the man's chest vibrate as he spoke. Familiar fingers brushed through his hair.

Ryan. He was against Ryan. He liked that. He liked the warmth and comfort it gave him. It felt safe. He liked feeling safe. Ryan was safe.

The boy must've realized Brendon woke up or something because he pressed a gentle kiss against the younger boy's head. Brendon felt soft words being mumbled against his skin.

"I got you. You don't have to worry. I'm right there." Brendon gave a subtle nod. He began drifting off again to the light brushing of his hair and soothing voice. "You're gonna be okay."
