Today is my second day. Not only of my period but that of visiting this psychic woman too. So I climbed up the valley again, cramps throbbing inside my abdomen, praying that I hold tight. I just hope today will be worth this torture.

Anyway, so I reached this woman again and slapped down a ten rupee note on her desk.

'Let's begin'. I say.

'Here you go', she said, handing me a bigger vial of a rosy pink liquid this time.

I downed it and touched the crystal ball, waiting for my salvation.

Anu's attic

Anu, Akash her boyfriend Samarth, and I scramble around her grandmother's attic, stifling coughs triggered by clouds of dust and cobwebs. The attic is creepy, dark, and eerie. Though I don't believe in ghosts, I was definitely feeling one in my vicinity for sure.

And again, this goddamned time-traveling crystal ball was showing me a day I perfectly remembered.

Me: I don't like this at all!

Anu: Relax Maitreyi, nobody's at home.

Samarth: (Winking) How about you come over to the bedroom Anu?

Anu: Get lost

Akash: Oh please guys just get over with it. I'll get a terrible orgy of sneezing in this dust.

Anu: Okay okay fine. So why don't you try and crack this safe open?

The safe is about three feet high and two feet wide and made up of iron but is amazingly neat and tidy.

Akash: Genius, I already cracked it open. It explains why there's no dust on it.

Anu: All right, here we go.

She opens the safe

A huge cloud of dust nearly chokes us sick. We lean over.

Me: I don't believe it...
