After a few minutes of Amity still curling up on on her lap asleep and King joining to snuggle with a nap, Eda had summon an old book to look through for anything about Amity's condition.

'Is it a curse or some sort of spell someone cast on her? Maybe some of my elixir could get her in her right mind? That would make this a bit easier if it works.' Eda thought as she kept turning though her book.

"Mmmm." Amity purred as she nuzzled a bit into Eda's lap.

"Huuh. The lucky ones get to sleep while I find nada." Eda said as she closed her book, not finding anything to help. "And so far, giving you my elixir is the best option but that's just a temporary fix."

As Eda kept trying to think of ways to help or at least get Amity into a normal like state, she remembers what answers she from Lilith about the mind spell she put on Amity AND HER. Mostly her.

/Flashback/

"You mind blocked me?!" Eda said as she saw Lilith draw a shaky spell circle for a healing spell to fix her finger, marching to her and grabbing her by the shoulders. "When did you mind block me?! Why did you mind block me?!"

"I did it to protect you, to stop you from worrying!" Lilith said as he held her now fixed finger.

"Worrying about what?" Eda asked with a dangerous glare.

"From...from yourself." Lilith admitted as she held her finger. "From something that happened to you that...you weren't fully prepared for."

"What something?!" Eda asked her as Lilith bit her lip and looked away, angering the owl lady before she shook her wildly! "Answer me, Lily! What was I not prepared for?!"

Grabbing her hands to take them off her shoulders, Lilith blurted out something she wished she would never speak off again.

"That you had a child and couldn't take care of her!" Lilith screamed at her sister before she covered her mouth, with wide eyes of shock.

Luz gasped loudly as she looked to her mentor, who lost her anger and had her jaw dropped.

"That's what Lilith blocked?! You have a daughter?!" Luz repeated in shock.

'I...have a...daughter?' Eda thought in shock as her head suddenly ached, causing her to grab it in pain and shut her eyes.

"Argh!" She groaned as she felt something burst in her mind, something that revealed a memory she didn't know she had until now.

She was laying in her nest with a blanket over her lap, feeling tired as she looked down to what was held in her arms. It was a small child with skin as pale as Eda's, sleeping soundly while swaddled in a pink blanket. Eda reached out to caresses her cheek before the memory ended and Eda had opened her eyes with a gasp. Her breathes heavy and her eyes surprisingly wet as she felt tears running down her cheeks.

/Flashback End/

'She blocked my memories...of my daughter. One...that I gave up on.' Eda thought as she felt her tears return again. 'Lilith said, I couldn't take care of her but...I'd at least want to remember her, wouldn't I?'

That question had plagued Eda ever since she left Lilith that day and it wouldn't go away no matter how many times she tried to answer it. She even tore through her room for at least some answers she may have hidden but found nothing. Perhaps if she went to Lilith again, she could at least know if her daughter was taken to a good home.

Gently moving Amity and King off her lap, Eda went to get her cloak and staff to fly off to see her sister again if she wasn't busy.

"Hmm." Amity mumbled as she opened her eyes, finding herself no longer on Eda's lap but the couch. "Eda?"

Amity couldn't explain it but she missed the certain warmth she had when she was resting her head on Eda's lap, even though she couldn't remember how she ended up napping on her lap. Lookin around, Amity found the owl lady heading to the door with her staff in hand and turned to her.

"Oh you're up. How do ya feel?" Eda asked her.

"I feel fine but why am I on the couch and where Luz and the others?" Amity asked as she got up and walked up to Eda.

'I guess she doesn't remember the whole cat attack.' Eda surmised.

"They had to rush off to school and you decided to take a nap when they left, you must not be getting enough sleep at your house." Eda said, giving Amity something to work with.

"I...I guess that's right but where are you going? I was hoping you could teach me something while I'm still suspended." Amity said, believing Eda's story about her not gettin enough sleep.

"Well it would be an interesting way to pass the time but I can't right now! I need to run to my sister's for something important." Eda said as Amity went stiff at the mention.

"Lilith? Why?!" Amity asked as she was still a bit jumpy with her "mentor."

"Personal. You can stay here for as long as you want but-"

Eda stopped mid sentence as she turned to leave but stopped when she felt something cling to her back. Turning around, Eda saw that Amity had a slightly fearful look on her face as he eyes were flickering between normal and cat like.

'She's this jumpy at the mention of Lilith?' Eda thought as she felt something in her chest at the way Amity cling to her, a mixture of warmth and sadness?

"Look kid, if you want to stay here or come with me, it's up to you but you gotta face Lily eventually. Even if you don't like it." Eda said with a tone that was annoyed, possibly from past experiences.

Amity gave her nothing but a nervous nod as her eyes finally returned to normal.

"I-I think I'll tag along. I...need some answers too." Amity said as she looked up to Eda.

"Then come on, let's fly." Eda said as she and Amity left the house, hopping on her staff and flying off towards Lilith's house.

The flight was silent and a bit quick as they were at Lilith's home faster then they expected.

"Here we are." Eda said as Amity went silent again, choosing to cling behind her as her instincts were screaming at her to run like last time, hiding in case she was fired at again.

Knocking on the door, Eda and Amity waited for a few moments before the door was opened by Lilith, who had a healing glyph patch with a small cast over her hand. The one with the broken finger Luz broke.

"Edalyn?" Lilith asked in surprise.

"I'm gonna cut to the chase, Lily. I want answers, not just for myself but for the kid you shot at a while ago." Eda said as she turned a bit, showing a clingy Amity hiding behind her.

"Amity!" Lilith said in surprise as she reach a hand out to her, only to back away when Amity's eyes changed again and she hissed as her.

"Yeah, now let's chat." Eda said as she pushed Lilith inside, along with a clingy hissy Amity, before shutting the door behind them.

Recovering from the push and shock of her student hissing at her, Lilith stumbled backwards as Eda turned to her.

"I'm sorry, Edalyn but I've said all I could, I told you why I blocked your memory and what I blocked. What else do you want to know?" Lilith asked her.

"I just wanna know where my daughter went, if she was given to a good home or not." Eda said as she back Lilith into a wall.

"Well, yes. I made sure she went to the best home I could find for her but that's all I can say." Lilith said with her hands up.

"All you can? Why is that?" Eda asked as she leaned closer. "You're the head of the Emperor's Coven, what else besides Belos could make you keep quite?"

Coming up to the side, Amity eyes were still cat like as she glared t Lilith. Something inside her was telling her that Lilith was holding something back and it had something to do with her. She wanted to know, she NEEDED to know!

"Grrr!" Amity growled as she raised a hand up, her nails growing into claws as Lilith looked at here.

"Amity, calm down." Lilith said as she raised her hand to the girl.

"She wants answers like I do, Lilith. Just come clean." Eda said to her.

"I-I-I-I can't! I made an oath with Alador and Odalia to not saying anything after they helped!" Lilith said with a bit of panic before covering her mouth.

"You made an oath with Alador and Odalia to keep quiet!?" Eda said in shock as Amity's anger reached an all time high!

This secret just kept getting deeper and deeper with her parents at the gods darn center! This made Eda angry too as she wonder just what they did with her daughter! Did they sell her as a slave? Did they send her out of town? Or did they just abandon her like garbage in the street?!

"We're leaving, kid! Our business is done here." Eda said as she picked Amity up before she could claw at Lilith or hiss at her more.

The trip to Blight Manor was a bit tense as Eda was angry at the Blight Parents and Amity was still a bit catty so she couldn't think right. Landing in front of the door, Eda knocked on the door a bit roughly as she and Amity waiting for a moment.

"Okay, okay. Calm down." Edric said to himself as he went to open the door, coming to the sight of an miffed Eda and a slowly recovering Amity. "Eda? And Mittens? Wha-"

"We know the truth, kid. Your mom and pop mind blocked both of us." She said as Amity just nodded, remembering what Lilith said.

This statement made Edric flinch for a moment before he quickly grabbed Amity and dragged her into the house.

"Hey!" She let out as Edric turned to glare at Eda.

"Don't ever come back here again!" He told her before he slammed the door in her face.

Frustration and confusion were all that was left in Eda's mind as she stared at the shut door. This was getting deeper and deeper and Eda couldn't help but worry just how deep it was and how it would effect her...as well as Amity.
