6- Fairytales?
It was Sunday afternoon when I had finally been able to sneak off to find the book Vlad had told me to find.
I stood outside of Vlad's house, an involuntary shiver ran through me as I looked at his old, rickety house. It gave me the creeps. The yard was overgrown, all the windows were shuttered, and the paint was pealing off the outside.
I sighed and decided that it wasn't worth the worry since I was just delaying the inevitable. I took a deep breath and went in the house that the town had deemed 'haunted', which wasn't a complete myth. There was a ghost living in it after all, or there was. I was scared of what I would find in the creeps house, but ending this curse must've been really important if Vlad asked me to help. If anyone could casually walk up and stop the curse, he probably would have asked my mom.
I opened the door with a creek that made me wince. All the lights were off and, although it wasn't a horrible house, it seemed Vlad hadn't taken the best care of it. Apparently he had been a big deal in college, but when the accident that gave him ecto-achne (and apparently ghost powers) he was shunned because of how hideous his face was. Between you and me, I don't think the accident was the cause of his troubles; he's ugly enough without it.
I walked through the house slowly, an ominous feeling loomed over me. It was like I stepped straight into a horror movie and the villain was about to jump out with a chainsaw.
Just find Vlad's book. The sooner you find it, the sooner you can leave...
Vlad's house was huge! I thought I would never find his study with all the Green Bay Packer merchandise filling every nook and cranny.
I wasn't sure what the book looked like, but I didn't think that it was Top Ten Cheese Recipes or How to Make Yourself Look Five Years Younger!
I had finally stumbled upon a room that looked like a study. This had to be where the book was. And, there on the desk, sat a very old, very battered book. I went over to it and picked it up. I had already procrastinated long enough. I had to get to the witch's grave before the day was over. And besides, Vlad's house was starting to creep me out.

I rode my bike to the graveyard. It was five in the evening. I had plenty of time to stop this curse.
I walked into the middle of the creepy tombstones and opened the book. I wanted to get out of here as soon as possible.
Before I started, I cleared my throat and took a deep breath. "Once Upon a time, there live a king...queen...and a princess? What...?"
I flipped to the cover. If I squinted, I could make out Grimm's Fairytales on the cover.
Crap, I grabbed the wrong book!
I spun on my heal to book it back to Vlad's house, but I smacked into something solid. It was Dash.
Crap!
"Whatcha doing in the Graveyard, Fenton?" He plucked the book from my hands. "Huh? What's this? Telling the ghosts bedtime stories?"
"Give that back!"
Dash held it above my head. "What? Not tall enough to reach it?"
"I don't have time for this, Dash! Give it ba-"
I was cut off by the sudden sound of the dirt being cracked open. I'm pretty sure my eyes flashed green in surprise, but I didn't feel any chill go through me. If it wasn't a ghost...
Then, I noticed that Dash had a look of pure horror on his face. If he could see whatever it was, it definitely wasn't a ghost.
I braced myself, then looked over my shoulder.
I shouldn't have been surprised, since I see ghosts and all. I mean, I can become a ghost for Pete's sake, but...
Zombies? Really?
This was not my day...

Sorry that I haven't updated in a while. I lost motivation.
But, while you waiting for me to get my crap together with this story, you can all check out my main project, This is Not a Love Story. It's a comic and I would really like your support!
I'm thinking, if I get a least 100 likes on it, I'll put it on Tapas or Line Webtoon. Right now, it's exclusively on Wattpad!
Thanks!
Warning: my comic WILL get dark. It seems lighthearted now, but I have plans. If your uncomfortable with abuse, please don't read it
