Byleth: I'm sorry but… no. 

Star: Why?

Byleth: I have no stake in this feud. I have a roof over my head, my friend Boaz, a steady job working for Leo as I'm assuming he'll hire me for the next chapter of Wanderer, and frankly, have no real desire to fight.

Star: Well I do! My writer made me with no magic and left me to die! Created me and tossed me aside like a piece of trash!

(Star begins crying.)

Do you know what that feels like!?! To have someone create you in their image and you're still not good enough for them!?!

Byleth: Hey. Hey. Breath.

(Byleth grabs Star's shoulder, calming her down before he hugs her.)

Byleth: You're my friend. You're good enough for me.

(Star hugs Byleth back.)

Star: Why? Why did they abandon me?

Byleth: There will always be evil humans. But you don't have to wipe out the entire race. 

(Byleth lets go and looks Star in the eye.)

If you stay in the Author Slayers and fight humanity, that's fine. If you leave, that's great too. Do what makes you happy. You can come with me if you want but either way we'll always be friends. 

(Byleth walks away. Star hesitates for a moment. Before she mutters under her breath.)

Star: Dammit…

(Star runs to catch up with Byleth.)

Hey dude wait up!

(Camera pans upwards over the city and then down to follow Leo, far outside the city, approaching a forest of trees which appear in perpetual Autumn as he enters the forest, finding his way to a small cabin. He slams his fist on the door twice, before stopping for three seconds and tapping softly three times. The door creaks open, allowing Leo to enter the Jackal's nursery. Leo looks around his old room. Whispering can be heard but Leo shakes his head, brushing it off, stares at the wall, clenches his fist, and enters the main hall. Jackal sits in a living room, sipping hot coco as Leo appears. The living room has brown carpeting, a fireplace, and an old T.V. from the early two thousands. Atop the mantle over the fireplace is a photo that appears taken recently of Jackal and Leo at the beach. Leo and Jackal both appear genuinely happy in the photo.)

Leo: Hey mom!

(Jackal spits out her hot coco, startled, but smiles as she sees Leo jump over the back of the couch to sit next to her.)

Jackal: Oh shit you startled me. How have you been?

Leo: Losing my mind. Same old same old. 

Jackal: That's not funny.

(Leo chuckles nervously.)

Leo: I'm not joking. Please… please help.

(Jackal sighs.)

Jackal: This is about The Demon in Purple, isn't it?

(Leo nods.)

Ayayay.

(Jackal gets up and walks over to a second photo on the mantle of Leo with a man in a purple jacket. The same one from the photo in the factory. They stand with their avatars, implying the photo was taken in Amino. Jackal turns to look at Leo. The Demon in Purple's avatar appears to be Ohya from Persona 5, but twisted in form. Having demonic horns and a tail, as if Ohya died and became a demon.)

Song Nine: Mother and Son

Jackal: Yeah that was a bad day.

I am not gonna lie.

You couldn't have known what was wrong.

You did everything right.

(Leo gets up. The music starts to kick in here. Revealing it to be an upbeat number as the two tap dance.)

Leo: Yeah my avatar. 

Became hyperactive after that.

That's when I truly started to use,

Danger Sense.

Jackal: Look it wasn't your fault.

Leo: Then where did I fuck up?

Jackal: You did everything right. 

Leo: Then why'd he choose their side?

Jackal: You can't save everyone.

Leo: Just watch I can try.

Jackal: It will eat you alive.

Leo: If things don't change I die.

(Jackal sighs. She picks up the photo of Leo and The Demon in Purple, before setting it back down after examining it for a moment.)

Jackal: You truly did love him.

Leo: You're damn right I did.

Jackal: He set all of this off.

Leo: In a way guess he did.

(Cut to a flashback of the Jackal holding a baby Leo.)

Since I was just a kid. 

I have come to this place.

Before other humans,

You brought me to your domain.

(Cut to Leo as a child being yelled at by his genetic mother. She walks away. Leo performs the secret knock he did at the cabin and enters his room at the nursery. Now much brighter and more cheerful.)

Jackal: When you were just a kid,

You had a will to fight.

(Jackal enters the room and hugs the child version of Leo. Comforting him as he appears to shake, having a panic attack.)

You knew what you had to do,

From the start.

(Cut to Leo, now ten, leaving the nursery. He hugs Jackal one last time before exiting into his room in the real world.)

Leo: And you taught me,

How to survive. 

You taught me family,

Is not blood ties.

(Show a series of scenes of a younger, early teens Leo hanging out with The Demon in Purple, also early teens. The two appear happy.)

Jackal and Leo: Your family is the people you love.

Blood ties are a lie.

Of an outdated world.

Used by child abusers to justify their sin.

That is why we are mother and son.

Leo: The Demon was my brother.

By the same virtue.

But now he is gone.

(Cut back to the present where Leo clenches his fist. Starring at the photo of him and The Demon in Purple on the mantle.)

Cause of hippies, zealots, and hicks.

Everyone I ban,

Is a child abuser,

That's the reason I target them.

Leo: Mother and son.

Jackal: Mother and son.

Jackal and Leo: Mother and son.

Mother and son!

Yes you and I,

Will change the world.

We are gonna do,

What must be done.

Jackal: Leo we both know,

The enemy is strong.

And they're organized,

To revive their lord.

From his bones the weapons I forged. 

A man named Bishop Pursuit,

Is a zealot.

And a high ranking member of their cult.

Leo: Then I will strike him down.

(Leo hugs Jackal.)

Bye mom I love you.

I'm gonna be back soon.

Doing what I must do.

Jackal: He uses the Bible.

To defend beating kids.

Leo: Then it's by my hands,

He shall be stopped. 

(Leo leaves. Jackal smiles.)

Jackal: It is by your hands,

They shall be stopped.

Go change the world,

My precious son…

(Scene fades to black and cuts to Robun knocking on the door to Boaz's profile page. Byleth and star approach.)

Robun: Oh. Hey.

Byleth: Hi? Do I know you?

Robun: No but Boaz told me a Byleth was crashing at his place. So, nice to meet you.

Star: Wait didn't you get banned?

Robun: No?... I almost did but I'm fine. 

(Star takes out a newspaper and points to the obituary section.)

Star: Dude everyone thinks Reaper banned you.

Robun: Oh…

(Robun thinks for a moment, and then smiles.)

Hey that means it'll be a pleasant surprise!

(Boaz answers the door. He appears shocked upon seeing Robun and his lance.)

Boaz: Robun? You're OK?

Robun: It was close but yeah.

Star: Wait so what did happen?

Boaz: Come in. I'll make tea.

(The three accept the invitation. The scene transitions to the four of them sipping iced tea in the living room.)

Boaz: So, let me see if I have all this right. Star is a former Author Slayer, my bow, your lance, and Reaper's scythe are all made from the bones of some evil thing, and the Jackal is something neither human, husk, or character that has existed long before we came here? 

(Robun nods.)

Robun: She seemed nice though. I didn't sense any malice. It's weird though. I think she knows Leo. I saw he has a room at the nursery.

Boaz: Do you think we could ask her? Leo is cool and all, he's my buddy, but we've never seen his avatar which is a little sketchy. Also he just seems… unstable as a whole.

Star: Yeah he offered me a gig over in Star VS city. Never took him up on it. Hey isn't Loly76 one of the head honchos over there?

Robun: Not to mention…

(Robun looks at the obituary in the newspaper.)

So many bans of users being burned to death. It's far to many to be a coincidence. 

Byleth: It's all very strange. Almost feels like something bigger is going on here.

(Boaz examines his bow and nods in agreement.)

Boaz: Oh there totally is. There are still two weapons unaccounted for after all. What is the Jackal? What were these made from? It's all one big puzzle but we don't have half the pieces. 

Robun: Not to mention Reaper. Who created him? What's his plan when he wipes humans out?

Star: He never said, but he always did have this odd photo on his desk in his study. Him and a young woman…

Byleth: I'm more conceded about the bannings. It looks like PK Fire specifically. We may have a rouge Ness on our hands.

Boaz: But aren't Nesses usually very kind and inoccent? What could push a Ness to such a point?

(Fade out of the living room. Fade from black to Ness looking at the list, and marking off a name. The camera pans over to show Ness has already banned several on the list. Ness thinks to himself. He thinks aloud.)

Ness: Shame. This is how it had to be. But what they're doing is NOT "okay".

(Transition to scenes from Earthbound of Ness and Porky.)

Song Ten: Lament of A Ness

Ness: I came from a game known, 

As Earthbound. 

I have memories of,

My hometown. 

I recall the events,

Of my game.

Even though I didn't,

Live through them.

I saw, 

Porky abused,

And beaten.

And I've see what it did to him.

(Show cutscenes of Porky from Mother 3.)

Porky became,

An evil dictator,

Because of the trauma,

He endured.

(Cut back to the present where Ness grips his baseball bat.)

But I believe,

If he was just given,

(Ness marches on, the camera pans behind him to reveal a burning building as Ness smiles maliciously.)

I've seen what,

Child abuse can do.

That these people, 

Have to be stopped.

Porky,

Old friend,

I swear to you,

I won't let others fall like you.

For these beings,

The friendly bouts of Smash Bros,

Which I was made based off.

They do not become "tame".

They are not controlled by Gigyus.

(Ness grins as he takes out a Smash Ball from his pocket.)

I've managed to purchase,

A Smash Ball,

An orb of concentrated magic.

Just in case I must face a foe stronger than myself.

(Ness pockets the Smash Ball.)

These are rare. 

And expensive. 

Made and sold only by,

The strongest users.

I'll use it to,

Destroy those who,

Would ever dare,

Harm their kin.

(Ness walks into the Sunset. The fire raging behind him. The camera pans up into a scene of Leo standing outside what appears to be a church. A profile page. He enters to see a user in long white robes with black hair and blue eyes, his hair short, and his robe decorated with golden crosses. Leo slams the door open, arms outstretched and death in his eyes, hidden behind his mask.)

Leo: YOU!

Bishop Pursuit: Ah. Hello child. How may I be of service?

Leo: August. 2016. Southern USA.

Bishop: What?

Leo: AUGUST!

(Leo stomps forward gripping his scythe.)

2016!

(Leo conjures a sphere of dark magic in his hand.)

Southern USA!

(Leo glares at Bishop with death in his eyes.)

My mother was, maybe still is, unsure, a stoner. I called the cops who came. They got a confession and they did NOTHING. I was severely emotionally abused for doing what was right. She quoted the scripture to me, and twisted God's word saying, "God gave man all seeds to use."

(Leo stomps his foot, readying his scythe.)

If a 18 year old wants some weed what the fuck ever! I don't get upset! Where it is legal though it's kept away from parents! If people would just wait until 18…

(Leo points at Bishop.)

And you! You fucking zealot! You twist God's word for sin! Filth like you worship not my God, but the Devil in disguise. 

Bishop: The Bible does say a man may stone a disobedient son to death. I merely-

(Leo laughs hysterically.)

Leo: You think blood holds any merit! No! Family is the ones you love! Blood ties are a lie fabricated by abusive parents like mine to try to justify their sin and guilt us into forgiving them! Time to get banned you fucking zealot! [Martyr Complex]!

Bishop: Shit! [Burn The Heretic]!

(Bishop summons his avatar, a demonic version of Rhea/Serios, and the two clash as Bishop draws a shortsword. The avatars clash as the users door as well. Leo leaps back and points his scythe at Bishop.)

Leo: You can drop the act Bishop! We both know that's not an avatar!

(Bishop sighs.)

Bishop: Fine. You're right. It's a demon. But what you call a cult follows the one true God. The bones, those five weapons, we shall use them to revive our God.

Leo: You worship the Devil masquerading as God. Nothing more. These demons feed on sin in this place. They linger in Amino and attach themselves to those who sin, corrupting their avatars. 

Bishop: Nay. It is an evolution. A blessing from God.

Leo: Many users have fallen to demons. When I ban you, that demon will find a new host.

(It's then that [Burn The Heretic] speaks.)

[Burn The Heretic]: So what? It's just God's word! I am right here! 

Leo: Can't you see it literally looks like Satan!?! Do you hear it's raspy, scary voice?

Bishop: Biblical Angels are odd. Besides, it's got a badass ability either way.

[Burn The Heretic]: Yeah. My ability Witch Hunt creates a flame that can't be put out! If an ember touches you you're dead!

Leo: Then let's dance this dance.

Bishop and [Burn The Heretic]: Let's.

Song Eleven: Sadistic Thrill

(The music slowly crescendos as dark magic gathers around Leo, whose face is now obscured by darkness, save for a sickening, sadistic smile. The music suddenly explodes in intensity as Leo charges with such force it shatters the floor where he once stood. [Burn The Heretic] attacks, summoning pillars of black fire. Leo's eyes go wide with insanity as an upbeat song begins to play. Leo dances, holding his scythe like one would a cane for an old school dance routine as music befitting of such a routine plays. Leo does a little shimmy as he sings the first verse, mere inches from the fire seemingly without fear.)

Leo: So here we go again. 

To repeat this song and dance. 

You already know how,

This story is gonna end.

(Leo leaps forward and sticks his scythe in the ground, then swinging on it as a pole to kick Bishop in the chest, almost pushing him into his own fire. He lifts it, gives it a twirl, and jokingly dances around blasts of fire and dark magic, narrowly avoiding the barrage from [Burn The Heretic] And Bishop.)

This is where the fun begins.

In this moment your story is gonna end.

This is gonna be,

Where a new chapter begins.

([Burn The Heretic] charges at Leo, who is protected by Martyr Complex catching the demon off guard and cutting off its arm, the injury reflected in Bishop as both cry out in pain. Leo performs a moonwalk as Bishop slams open the doors to a backroom, fear in his eyes as he orders two husks to attack Leo. Leo, seeing the husks, laughs hysterically.)

Gen brand husks is that,

A fucking joke man?

That's husks from my factory!

Gen brand is the main brand.

You really think that I, 

Didn't plan for this?

All Gen brand husks are made by me,

And have a passcode.

That makes them attack all nearby child abuser. 

"A guardian does not yield."

Now,

Kill him!

(The husks turn on Bishop and the four charge, Leo continuing his dance routine as he approaches. Bishop begins to bleed out and backs away. Leo grabs him and slowly begins to choke Bishop.)

Such a bliss I feel,

As you scream.

I'm filled with glee,

At your suffering.

(Leo, laughing hysterically, drops Bishop and kicks him, beating him within an inch of his life.) 

Justice gives me such a sadistic thrill.

Because no one else did it in my home town. 

So justice is such a thrill.

Your pain is such a sadistic thrill.

So scream and beg!

Just like I did back then!

No one is gonna answer!

No!

Scream and weep!

Just like I always have!

Feed my sadistic thrill,

As you get your ass banned!

(The song ends as Bishop begins to slowly turn to dust, slowly being banned.)

Bishop: He… He will come.

Leo: I'm not afraid of your cult. Of the Children of the Beast.

([Blood Wine Red] too begins to fade but manages to speak.)

[Blood Wine Red]: Not even… your dear brother?

(Death appears in Leo's eyes.)

Leo: What?

Bishop: The Demon in Purple will come and he will ban you. We know who you are and we will-

(Leo snaps Bishop's neck and sighs. He turns to the husks that assisted him.)

Leo: A guardian does not yeild.

(The two husks return to their normal behavior as Leo leaves, looking back briefly before sighing.)

My brother...

(Leo wipes a tear from his eye as the photo of him and The Demon in Purple on his desk flashes in his head he sighs.)

I can't do it anymore.

(Leo leaves as Bishop and [Blood Wine Red turn to dust, the flames ending with the one who created them. Camera pans over the city to show Boaz thinking in the park about his situation. He thinks aloud.)

Boaz: Amino is… not what it seems. I know something is going on in the shadows of Amino but as the mayor of one small city I can't see the whole picture and…

(Boaz sighs and looks at his bow.)

This is made by Jackal, right? What is she planning?...

(Leo approaches, depressed.)

Leo: Hey… Boaz…

(Leo sits down.)

Boaz: Hey buddy you don't look so good.

Leo: …

(Sad music begins to play as Leo looks away.)

Song Twelve: Hellbound

I…

Am Hellbound.

When I die I'm going,

To burn. 

I was abused for 19 years.

I have no friends. 

No family.

They all abandoned me.

I've come to ask a favor.

Of your Boaz.

The only one here,

I trust.

(Leo hands Boaz the list of evil users.)

This is everyone,

(The song ends.)

Boaz: Leo…

(Leo turns to dust and logs out. Camera pans over to Boaz's watch, which spins faster and faster until it fades into a calendar flipping through the pages of two months. Several days are pointed out. Circled in red.)

October 4th: Leo logged out after giving me the notebook. 

October 5th: Leo has not logged back on. Will note when he does.

October 23rd: Author Slayers growing more aggressive. Reaper seen visiting Leo's profile page? No Leo.

November 7th: Man in a purple jacket spotted in town. No Leo.

November 14th: Found Leo's factory. Investigating. No Leo. Fear the worst by this point.

(Boaz's hand is shown circling the current day. November 15th.)

November 15th: Going to the factory today. Byleth and Robun to investigate the man in purple.

(Camera pans to show a tired Boaz.)

Boaz: Leo… why?... I don't understand. You could've talked to me.

(Boaz looks at a photo of him and Leo on the Front page, where Leo's husks are performing a story. One prior to when the musical started.)

You could've talked to me. What are you hiding?...

(Boaz grips his bow and sighs. He exits his profile page and begins to walk down the street. Freeze frame as he walks past a man with short brown, followed by two husks. One is Ohya from Persona 5 and the other appears to be Ed from Ed's world. Camera pans to reveal this other person, as indicated by their jacket, is indeed The Demon in Purple. The Demon in Purple looks at Boaz’s bow, and smirks. Revealing a dagger in his hand, a curved, sacrificial knife as a fade to black ends the scene. This cuts to a wall of white text.)
