Shezan was sitting on the wooden chair as Aminah was sitting at the opposite. It was a glass table at the center which had an ash tray, full of cigarettes. To be honest, it was not Aminah, it was Antara who was smoking and Shezan was only staring at her. He was unsure what to say to her because of her swift change in her personality. Despite the fact that he grew tired, he grew patience within time.
"So, cheeky bones, what are you thinking about?" asked Antara.
"Hmm...What is your dream?" asked Shezan in a friendly tone.
"My dream?" exclaimed Antara. "My dream is to travel the world and get away from depression".
"I see, where do you want to travel, first?" said Shezan.
"To Paris, where I could explore myself in an adventure, romancing in the Eifel Tower and food" said Antara who was under the moment of desire to travel and her fantasies around Paris went into the picture. The food or if someone's man of dreams proposed her in the Eifel tower. The exotic moments went on to her mind.
On the contrast to that, Shezan was thinking about Aminah who also mentioned about Paris. He wished that he could not dump her and if he were patient or stubborn about his choices back then, a sultriest predator like Antara could not have entered his life. Thus, he realized his mistakes and patience led him stop complaining about the elements of Antara's doings. He thought of it as a source of punishment but he could not admit that in front of her, even in the present. He was really absent minded.
"So...what are you thinking?" asked Antara by interrupting his absent mind.
"Nothing" said Shezan as if he pretended to be present by clearing his throat.
Meanwhile, Dr. Jehangir went to the school. It had four squared blocks of houses with a triangular tin shade above. The grasses were greener as the Martyr Momentum (Shahid Minar) was on the corner of the school. The momentum had thin barriers divide into three and there was a plastic sun on the middle of it. The school was beautifully crafted in such a manner that he took a little time to search for the principal's office. It was thrilling to see the village school but at the same time, it was thrilling to know a patient's past.
After some time of search, he entered the Principal's room. Therefore, he saw the principal's room was smaller than expected. It had windows made of thick rod behind the desk and the wooden table which had a pillow-like roaming chairs. On the walls, there were maps, alphabets and also a body study as well. The principal was bald and had a thick beard who wore a kurta/ cloak and was chewing a betel leaf. Dr. Jehangir knocked the door. The principal let him in and recognized him immediately.
"Jehangir! When did you come!" exclaimed The Principal.
"Are we acquainted before?" asked Jehangir.
"It's me, Robiul!" surprised Robiul, the principal.
"Oh! The Mango Thief! We used to steal mangoes from an old man's garden! Anyway, how are your family?" asked Jehangir.
"I am still unmarried. No right girl came to tolerate me!" chuckled Robiul.
"Anyway. I came here for Aminah" said Jehangir.
Robiul stopped chewing the pan with a surprise. His eyes widened and was confused. He even could not deal with the memories that happened in the past.
"Aminah! The misfit! What is the topic relevant to my marriage?" exclaimed Robiul.
"Sorry, sir, I would like to inform you that she's not a witch! She's haunted by her devious past. Could you give me more information about it?" asked Jehangir.
"Ok, if you say old friend. If it was someone else, I could have bashed it off or throw them away, honest. I remember when Aminah was at sixth grade, she was a brilliant artist. I taught her art but lost her memory or behaved like a confused girl. Firstly, I thought it was a joke but then I thought of her was possessed. How could she draw so beautifully while at the next moment, she gets surprised?" said Robiul.
The further Robiul explained, the things would be explored well when Aminah would go into the ultimate test of time. Unless Robiul, the principal never understand the difference between mental illness and demonic possession, he was kind of confused while he was continued to explain it.
Meanwhile, Aminah was in the street school, who was capturing the pictures of the tree and the areas, while Shezan was looking at the tea store which was ran by Chandu and Kamal. The couple: Shezan and Aminah were taking tea. Shezan was staring at her while she was taking tea. But the romantic moment grew more when she smiled at him.
"What is your ambition?" asked Shezan.
"My ambition, is just to be simple and helpful towards the people" said Shezan.
"But sister Aminah, why didn't you defend the drunkard and instead just took the child to us under care? He even came back and tried to beat him out. Then we managed to tackle the situation off but anyway, thank you" asked Kamal.
"My answer is: I do not know how to tackle it but what I know is that simplicity and peace is the key to survive the world" said Aminah.
Shezan and Aminah bought 75 packs of biriyani with chicken and beef with a chutney. They fed it to the old home as even Mr. Karim was impressed.
"Sir, let me introduce you to the love of my life, Shezan" said Aminah to Mr. Karim.
"Well, dear boy. She mentioned you a lot! Please, take care of her, don't bang it again, sonny boy!" chuckled Mr. Karim.
Mr. Karim was now a jolly old man who became optimistic while staying with Aminah and other people at the old home. The biriyani was tasty as if the people even emptied up the packets. The authorities even joined together for it and had forgotten about the rules of banning rich food. Therefore, they re-wrote the rules that people could bring rich food occasionally.
Shezan was so impressed with Aminah's behavior but at the same time, he was concerned with the split personality that could rise to the point. Therefore, he took Aminah to her apartment.
Furthermore, he returned to his own home. He switched on the laptop. That time, there was no wi-fi. As for that, he connected the broadband wires. As the internet took time, he waited patiently. Then he got to have a research about split personality disorder and the way to behave with them:
4 WAYS TO DATE WITH PATIENT WITH SPLIT PERSONALITY DISORDER
BY PROF. DR. STRATFORD CORT
· Be patient
· If a particular personality is necessary for the part, call up their names.
· Spend a lot of time with them and motivate them.
· Support them and encourage them to create their own place
He realized that he was doing progressively well.
Due to that, the next day, he saw Amelia who was painting with a beautiful palette of colors. He stared at the painting and was quite curious.
"Where do you buy the painting, dear?" asked Shezan.
"Oh, Aminah....buys....it...for...me...and....she...paints...remember?" said the toddler Amelia.
"Yes, I do dear. I need to ask you something. What are your dreams?" asked Shezan.
"My....dream?... My...dream...is...to...be...happy" said Amelia.
"Why is that?" asked Shezan sympathetically.
"I...am...always...sad...it's...my...fault" sobbed Amelia.
"This is not your fault. Everyone has problems, you know? But you are special" said Shezan.
Suddenly, Yesmin bang on the door, rushed through Amelia and grabbed her hand. She pushed her to the ground with fury and hit her. Shezan was scared and was about to interrupt the situation.
"You stole my expensive phone, aren't you" said Yesmin with fury and continuously hitting her.
"No, no sister...Yesmin, I haven't.... stolen...anything!" sobbed Amelia.
Shezan screamed out loud that the situation blocked.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!" screamed Shezan.
"My boy, she's a thief!" said Yesmin.
"She's with me since dawn! You guys will never change! Even my dad warned you!" said Shezan angrily.
A phone rang from her pocket and it was vibrating.
"Look, who's phone is ringing!" said Shezan. "YOU ARE NOT DESERVED TO BECOME A SECRETARY ON MR. JABBAR. I HAVE NO IDEA, WHY HE TRUSTED YOU! BUT I KNOW HE'LL THROW YOU OUT OF THE APARTMENT LIKE YOU DID TO AMINAH! YOU WHORE!"
Yesmin calmed herself down and sobbed into tears. Javed entered and applauded at Shezan.
"This is the first time that a person outside me has the courage to protest my undeserving wife! She must learn her lesson! Otherwise, we won't have children" said Javed.
Yesmin sobbed and explained about the envy on Aminah that the reason was her kindness and integrity but with less confidence. When Amelia was on her bedroom and the door was shut, Javed and Yesmin joined Shezan for the brief sitting.
"Have you heard of split personality disorder?" asked Shezan.
"No, what is that?" said Yesmin in a normal tone.
"This is one of the strangest disorders that even that no one can predict but they have their beautiful dreams and ambition to fulfill to get out of their depressive state. We are such people who could never take these issues seriously and I also had the similar problem in the past because I chased the ideal woman than imperfect. So I request you, please, be kind with her!" said Shezan.
"I understand now. We all have problems but today, from what I have learnt that we should take this issue in an extremely serious way. No matter how she disturbs us, we have to be kind with her. I remember, when her paintings went to the exhibition, she used to deliver sweets to Javed. I used to get angry at that because her disorder is a weakness. But no, I won't do that anymore" said Yesmin.
She sobbed and hugged Javed with happy tears.
After they walked away, Amelia hopped out of the room. Her sweet smile encouraged him to take her to the park. Therefore, they went to the ground floor. When the cable operator's wife opened the door, she looked at Amelia.
"Rasma!" called the cable operator's wife. "Look, who's here!"
Rasma joyfully ran and looked happily at Amelia. Both smiled at each other and hugged. When Rasma saw Shezan, she was impressed to see his 'cool' looks: rounded spectacles, spiked hair and a shirt with baggy jeans.
"Who is that brother?" asked Rasma.
"He...is...my...friend" said Amelia.
Shezan grinned.
All three went to the park together. Thank God! It was empty. Otherwise, the other kids would have made fun of her. But when the other kids came into being, surprisingly, they did not laugh at Aminah. Instead, they gave her some chocolates.
Shezan thought of his father's arrival on train.
"How is your day going, son?" said a familiar voice-Dr. Jehangir!
Shezan looked back and grinned.
"Great, daddio" said Shezan in a friendly manner.
