You know that feeling when you step into your house and turn on the light and everyone yell surprise ,well I don't, but I am pretty sure this is how it feels like.

I have been staring at the gate of so called school I got admitted into while hoping the name will change, but it doesn't of course, this isn't a fantasy movie where things like that happens, more like a tragic horror novel.

Anyone in their right mind would probably turn back and return home, to be on the safe side right, I mean I just had the shock of a lifetime, but I didn't have a home to go back to.

For the past 10years, I looked forward to this day, the day I left the orphanage, the day my life could finally be mine. The fact remains that I'll rather go into an unknown danger zone han go back there.

Now that I finally found a way, I wasn't giving up that easily, yeah, my freedom awaits.

I guess those are the thoughts that always get us into trouble, right.

I moved closer to the school realizing It was a lot farther than I thought It was earlier. It was surrounded by trees, very tall ones that made me seem shorter than my 5'6 feet all arranged in rows through a single path .

After what seemed like an endless journey, I finally reached my destination. My feet aching because of my worn out and tight shoe I looked up to stare at the school. Up close, it kinda looks very striking. I still wonder why that door disappeared though.

The walls were as tall as the trees and its length seemed similar to that of the great wall of China, not that I have ever been there.

It was painted in white and it had a large black gate. With the events happening so far, I wouldn't be shocked if it turned out to be the gate of hell.

I laughed aloud at the thought, yeah, I finally lost It. Well, I had It coming for a long time now.

I noticed I was not alone as I became more aware of my surrounding.

Everyone were weird looking and dressed In clothes from the 17th or 18th century, at least the girls. The boys had clothing a little like the one I was used to though it still looked like an older design.

Another weird thing was their vehicles, if I can even call it that.

It looked like those carriages from long time ago,and some people were on horseback, or standing close to one. Someone was even riding a Pegasus,as if it could get any weirder

As I kept looking around, I noticed a fancy carriage like the one in a fairy tale come to a stop beside me and then out came Cinderella herself in all her glory.

Dressed In a magnificent blue gown with sparkling jewels without the glass shoe of course was a beautiful blonde girl that looked like she stepped out a a book.

No sooner has she stepped out that she was surrounded by two beautiful girls dressed In beautiful gowns,one a brunette and another raven haired.

If it isn't Ella's step sisters

''You are looking so...''  trailed the brunette as she examined the blonde girl thoroughly ''beautiful Isabella.''

''aren't I always Joanna.'' She replied with an arrogant smile

Then they giggled as if there was anything funny about their conversation.

I rolled my eyes looking away from their very interesting conversation to the oh so large gate which was opening slowly.

Oblivious to the fact that people were Impatiently waiting for It to open. At least I was, I don't know about Isabella, Joanna and whatever her name is who were still having their conversation.

Finally, It opened and I walked in with my luggage but not before I heard someone whisper loudly

''What's she wearing? why Is she dressed so strangely?''
It must have been one of the three girls because the sound came from that direction

''She is must be from earth kingdom, they are the only ones that dress so...''. another person said this time not bothering to whisper "Stupidly and classless."

''Hey watch what you say or-''

As I stepped Into the school their conversation didn't matter anymore.

I started to doubt If they were the strange one here because it looked like I was the one that didn't belong.

Then I stopped thinking altogether, I could only stand there and stare because the school was...

It was magnificent,it was like a big town, no, a small city.  With large buildings and tiled floor, it was the best structure I have seen.
The buildings were arranged in a very orderly manner that showed that the city,I mean school was well managed. It had a large fountain that looked very enchanting, I loved it.

As I stared openly at the building,someone stood beside me

''Beautiful, right?" The person said from besides me

I turned sideways to see a beautiful red haired girl standing beside me

She was short,about 5'2, with a curvy figure,and she had a sparkling emerald green eyes that displayed a mischievous spirit. She wore green dress that reached her knees along with a black heel

''Yes,  it is.'' I replied after a few moments of silence

''Even after seeing It so many times It still manages to look as amazing.''
I glanced back at her, she didn't look older than me,

''Isn't this your first time here?'' I asked

''Oh no,'' she exclaimed, ''Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself, I am Lady Lillian Smith,the daughter of the headmistress,but you can call me Lily.''

''That's explains it, I guess, I am Amethyst Walton, but you can call me Amy,'' I said stretching my hand.

It must be nice having a mother, I thought like I always did.

''Okay Amy,nice meeting you,'' she said while looking at my hands dubiously ''OMG, I love your clothes, is that a new design , it is very unique.''

''Well I don't know about it being new but it surely is different,'' I replied as I dropped my hands deciding she didn't like me much.

''Sorry,  I gotta go,catch you later Amieee,'' She said In a singsong voice as she slowly walked away. She didn't have any luggage with her so I assumed she must have had someone to carry It for her.

''Wait,can you help me with something,'' I asked placing my hand in her shoulder to stop her

''Of course,'' She said smiling turning back to me. I took that as a sign that i wouldn't get hit with a bat soon.

''I really need a map, I mean the school Is so large and I don't know where my room Is. I mean what If I get lost and no one find me and then I start starving and slowly die , I really feel like I can get lost in the school, I mean look at It, It's so...'' I rushed out In a single breathe, Okay, I'm really losing it

''Okay, I will help, you really need to stop over thinking stuff, none of those things you said can actually happen weirdo. But yes, of course I can be your map, actually I don't really have anything to do,''

''Oh, I almost forgot, don't you know that all students are expected to gather In the hall In about....''she glanced at her watch ''five minutes,''

''What'' I exclaimed, I wasn't informed

''Don't worry we can still make It in time as long as we get going now.''

''Oh no I am going to be in so much trouble now.'' way to ruin things on your first day Amy.

Now you're going to get expelled because you are not punctual ,the headmistress will decide you are not the type of student she should accept and then you will be kicked...''

''Amy,snap out of it,do you over think everything,'' she asked raising an eyebrow

''Not everything.'' I said sheepishly, way to make a good first impression

''My mom, well, the headmistress does not bite girls... except the blond ones''

''Shit!we have to hurry or we will become dinner, at least you will, I'm not blond'' she continued

''Really?'' I exclaimed freaking out inwardly

''Sorry," She said in between her giggles "I-I was just joking, you should have seen your face, you were like, Oh no, I'm gonna get eaten.''

My heart raced even as i tried to calm it down now, ''We should really get going now,'' I told her, a little annoyed because of the joke. Beats me how I believed that.

"Please lead the way," I said while picking up my suitcase.

''We made it!" I said bent over as I panted heavily

''At times like this I wish I could control the wind.'' Lily whispered standing and looking around as if we hadn't run for minutes

''What do you m-''

Then suddenly we heard a woman who looked like an older version of lily shouting to gain attention.

Most people either didn't hear or didn't care as they continued their conversations.

She then took the microphone which I thought they wouldn't have since everything looked like it was from the past.

  ''Silence!!'' she screamed loudly causing everyone to stop talking , some holding their ears as the sound resonated round the room.

She exhaled, perhaps to keep her anger in check and began her announcement.

''For over 3 decade,our beloved college have been known as the school that has produced many great warriors,mages and successful kings and queens. Looking back now, no one knew that this school will be such a huge success, but look at where we are now-''

''In a crowdy auditorium,'' Someone muttered from the crowd ''Nothing fancy here''.

People laughed aloud at that. I didn't though, I don't think lily will appreciate that. The headmistress must have felt offended, but regardless, she didn't comment.

''I want to use this moment to formally welcome you all,both old and new student to another successful year in mage academy!''

With those last words, my brain finally started functioning and the pieces started to fall in place, where was I?this wasn't forever college.

''There must be some kind of mistake,'' I whispered to myself,but who was I kidding, the sign were all there for me to see.

The gate,the mysterious creatures,the dresses and carriages,everything was weird, I was just slow at taking hints.

My breathe gave out in short pants and started to feel suffocated even though I wasn't claustrophobic,
I turned around searching for an escape route but everywhere I looked, all I could see were people dressed like they were shooting a movie.

I felt dizzy and lightheaded, I had always wanted to leave the orphanage. But look at where I came to, a place where a bunch of crazy people schooled, or was I the crazy one?

Everything was all wrong.

I felt someone hands on my shoulder and I jerked,  my violet eyes wide as I saw Lily, I wasn't really registering anything and my brain was a mushed mess.

"Amy, are you okay? You look a little pale.'' I heard her say as she shook my shoulders.

The light started to look a lot brighter and I felt my self falling when my body became too heavy. My eyes started to shut slowly and the voices around me started to reduce.

''Amy,snap out of-''

Then everything went dark.
