"It's way too hot lately even for me." Louisiana sighed, slumping in her chair, "I thought Spring was supposed to be cool still? Why does it feel like Arizona's weather?"

"Global warming?" Florida asked, glancing at her sister.

"Oh please don't start that again, sweetie," Texas groaned, rolling her eyes and sipping on her sweet tea. "It's so hot, Ava, because you are always outside working in the sun. Of course that will affect your land even when you're not working."

Louisiana thought for a moment before smiling and nodding. "Yeah, that would explain a lot. But would the sun have direct effects on me like the humans think it does?"

Isabella chuckled as she nodded. "Why do you think Emily's weather is so crazy? She's constantly doing things that are polar opposites for fun; using a heated pool as the source of a sprinkler system so the 'rain' would be hot as she put ice in her socks, just to name one of her many pass-times."

Emily chuckled as she traced her finger around the rim of her glass, "What can I say? I want to test the extremes myself."

"I fear the day you get help with your experiments..."

Florida and Louisiana both froze as Texas stopped tracing her glass, slowly looking up at them with a smirk. The two sisters shuddered in expectant fear of what was to come, knowing that there was no escape now...

The front door slammed open, a look of annoyance on America's face as he marched inside. "Where's Texas?" He asked a few of the Western states that were sitting in the living room.

"I think she's in the upstairs bathroom with Florida and Louisiana," Mississippi answered, looking up from his magazine about hunting, "They're doing some kind of experiment."

Alfred nodded in appreciation as he went upstairs to where he heard the voices of his states and was led into a bathroom. America sighed as he opened the bathroom door, seeing Florida and Louisiana aiming heaters and hair dryers at Texas, who was sitting in the tub with the shower on.

The three froze as they looked to see their dad standing in the doorway with his arms crossed. Florida and Louisiana quickly put the heaters down while Texas waved slightly with a sheepish grin.

"Hi, daddy..."

"Emily, get out of the tub please."

Texas gulped as she quickly got out, revealing her American flag bathing suit(she was always a daddy's girl). Isabella handed her a towel as Ava stepped back to give her room. The three girls turned to Alfred and looked down at the ground.

"What were you trying to do, Emily? The weather has been going crazy all over your place, I've even been feeling it too."

The blonde drew circles on the ground with her toe as she clasped her hands behind her back, "I wanted to try having all the seasons in one day. The only way I could think to do that was to take a cold shower-bath for Winter while Issy and Ava had heaters on me for Summer heat, I couldn't figure out what to do for Fall and Spring yet though."

Alfred sighed as he shook his head slightly. "I can't believe you're doing this," The girls all shared a look of guilt before Alfred finished, "...without telling me! This is so awesome, I can't believe I never thought of it myself!"

The girls looked at each other before smiling brightly. They all hugged him before splitting up and running in different directions.

"Let's see if we can do the same to you, dad!" Florida cheered, going to turn the water in the shower on again while Texas and Louisiana ran to get more heaters and fans.

Alfred chuckled as he heard some of the other states yelling as the girls pushed them out the way downstairs, shaking his head a little. He wasn't planning on joining them, but their sad faces were something he couldn't resist.
