war is terrible

war is relentless

yet it is the very thing that won us this land

it is the very thing that bought people together

but also pulled us apart

the civil war

a war that almost destroyed us

the revolutionary war

a war that won us our independence

it is no mystery

why they want our land

the new world 

but to really know

we got to back

back before peace

back before we claimed this territory

back to our origins

to our ancestors tears and fights

back to where it all began.
