"Watch it, Normie!" Manny said, pushing Jackson out of the way.

"I'm part monster, too, Manny. See?" Jackson said while drawing out his head phone and putting them on. Jackson disappeared in a haze of flames, which revealed an ecstatic Holt.

"Finally! Woo! Sweet music, thank you! I been trapped in that nerdy Normie for way too long! Oh, man, battery's low! I better rock this school while l can! Yeah!" And with that Holt ran off but not after winking at me.

"Oh Clawdeen! I'm totes excited! Our triple date is tonight! My cousin Thad is dying to meet you! Well, not literally, he is immortal...." Draculaura giggled to me and Clawdeen.

"Gee! A triple date with you, Darcy, Holt, my brother and some guy I've never met. How could a ghoul pass that up?" Clawdeen said and l rolled my eyes.

"Oh, come on, don't be so stubborn" Draculaura said.

"Hey, ghouls, um.... What do you know about Halloween?" Frankie said walking over to us.

"Oh no." said Clawd.

"Did Mr Rotter show that ridiculous old film again?" l asked.

"Yeah, I'm so confused. I don't know what to believe." Frankie said rubbing the back of her head.

"Trust me ghoul friend. You got nothing to worry about." Clawdeen reassured Frankie " right Draculaura, Darcy?"

"Well, l can only speak from experience, but.... normies were the whole reason my family fled my old village to come here. All it takes is one little misunderstanding, and before you know it out come the pitchforks and torches and bags and chains and...." Draculaura said.

"Sorry but how is that helping?" l questioned her with a shake of my head.

"Sorry. On the plus side, l never would've have met any of you if we hadn't moved here." Draculaura apologised.

"Tell you what, Frankie. On Halloween, we can all have a slumber party at my house, 'kay? We'll all be safe and sound together." Clawdeen said to us all.

"Yeah you can all tell scary Normie stories!" Clawd snickered, then getting distracted by a ball that Clawdeen had thrown down the hall. "Like the one about the farmer who steals the souls of... a ball!!!! I got it!!

"Come on, you don't really believe all that stuff about normies, do you? " said Cleo walking over with Deuce.

"Ah yeah" said Deuce.

"Deuce, my mummy... My daddy taught me along time ago that they are not to be trusted." Cleo said.

"Your dad says a lot of stuff, Cleo. Doesn't mean its true." Deuce rolled his eyes.

"Don't let them scare you Frankie. Halloween is really no biggie." Clawdeen patted Frankie's back.

"Ghouls! Breaking news! Its epic!" Spectra floated over.

"Not now Spectra." l looked pointedly at her.

"But look! " she said.

We looked at the window in time to see that eggs were being thrown at the windows.
Shocked we all ran outside where a crowd had gathered to inspect the damage.

"What chaos!" said someone.

"What a story!" Spectra said.

"Whoa!" said Abbey.

"Check it out" said Gil.

"Oh. My. Ra! What is going on here, I demand to..." Cleo started as she pushed threw Gil and Lagoon, but then eggs were thrown in her direction, covering her clothes.

A voice rang out from the gates. We moved our gaze over to two normies with monster masks inside a car. "There's more where that came from, you monster freaks! This is gonna be the worst Halloween of your lives!"

Back in the creepateria, Robbeca zoomed through the halls.

"Sorry I'm late, what did l miss?" Robbeca zoomed up to her friends.

"The normies! They attacked us in the broad of daylight!" Rochelle exclaimed to her.

"They did? Oh, that really grinds my gears!" Robbeca seethed.

"It's not like it's surprising. They're wrecking our school just like they're wrecking the environment!" Venus said.

"You don't think that the stuff from the old film is coming true, do you?" Gil nervously asked.

"Oh, Gil, don't be such a 'fraidy catfish. It was one little prank." Lagoona reassured him.

"I'd like to see 'em try it again " seethed Manny.

"They're just lucky I'm not allowed to chase cars anymore." growled Clawd.

"What they did was sneaky, mean, conniving and underhanded. I have to say, l admire it!" drawled Toralei. "We should totally get them back."

"That's the first thing you've ever said that l agree with!" said Cleo.

"Attention students. I know you're all a little on edge right now, but as your headmistress, l must urge you not to retaliate. We can't afford to ignite any old tensions between us. Especially this close to Halloween!" Miss Bloodgood's voice came over the loud speakers.

"l guess Cleo was right. My magazine was lying. Maybe you just can't trust normies on Halloween." Sighed Frankie as we were standing in line to get food.

"Watch out! My bad! I'm in such a hurry! I'm working on a spooktacular story!" Spectra zoomed through us and accidentally dropped all her books.

"What are all these?" l asked.

"l got them from the old library in the catacombs beneath the school. Its all about the history of Halloween. I'm hoping to find something juicy to drive up my web-hits" she giggled.

"Something like this" asked Abby bending down to pick something up from the ground. It was a dusty map.

"What is it?" asked Spectra.

"It's a map of the catacombs" l said holding it up to my face "A secret room. A place called.... The Hall of Halloween."
