"So, then Mr. Nelson says, You can't bring that thing in here, it hasn't been housebroken!" The group of people around Chad laugh at his pathetic joke.

Shuffling towards the only people who had accepted him, even if he wasn't meant to be there, Jackson prepared his sappy speech that he had rehearsed on repeat the night before. "Hey, Clair, Chad, everyone... Look, I just wanted to thank you."

"For what?" asks Chad, who looks confused at the monster in disguise.

"Well, when I got here, I didn't really know what to expect. But you guys have really made me feel like l belong. And, well, that's just new for me..."

"Oh, gag, dude, if you ever get mushy like that again, I'll give you a mega wedgie myself." The ever tough Clair shakes her fist at Jackson who cowers at her threat.

"Ohh-hh no-o." He stutters, leaning away from the scary lady.

"No need to thank us." Chad says, patting Jackson on the back, he pulls his phone out from his pocket. "Hey, do you like Toxic Crimson Dancer?"

Unsure of where this conversation was heading, Jackson meekly answered his new friend. "Duh, they're like favourite band."

Flicking on his phone, Chad shoves the phone in Jackson's hand. "Sweet. I just downloaded their new single. Check it! It doesn't even drop.."

Freaking out over the possibility of being exposed to the hall of normies, Jackson squeaks out an "Oh no.." And promptly drops the phone on the ground, smashing the screen.

"Hey! Whats the big deal?" Chad cries, outraged.

"Jackson, what's your damage, dude?"Clair backs up her best friend, confused over Jackson's seemingly purposeful actions.

"I am so sorry. Oh, man, it's like, I just have this... Well, I have this condition. Yeah, a condition! And it's called.... jeckllingtons? And every so often, I'll just, you know, flare up... Like, for no reason." He has a little freak out to demonstrate his so called 'condition'. "And, I mean, it gets really bad sometimes. There is no cure.." He finished forlornly.

"Oh, bro. I'm so sorry." Chad says sympathetically.

He was promptly interrupted by an announcement over the loudspeaker. "Attention, students! Please welcome our Pep Band, fresh off their victory at Regionals."

Panicking, Jackson begins to step away from his 'friends', quickly thinking of an excuse and saying "I feel another flare-up coming." Then dashing off to hide from the music pumping out of the speakers all over the hallway.

"Your kooky little friend sure hates music." Lilith comments snidely to Chad and Clair, who are looking confused at the direction Jackson sprinted off.

"Hmmmm... Very interesting" She says to herself.
