Y/n, better known as Thirteen, had just barely escaped Hawkins Lab and was on the run.

The reason? Well, Y/n lived in the lab as a science experiment. She had been given super powers and was forced to train as a weapon against Russia. The training was brutal and Y/n hated it with all her heart. Last year, another girl had escaped Hawkins Lab. Her name was Eleven and she had super cool mind powers. Ever since Eleven had escaped, Y/n had always looked up to her and wanted to leave to go join her. Now her moment had finally arrived.

Y/n's powers were a little different then Eleven's. She had the power to control space and time. She could stop time, time travel, and alter previous events. If she could, Y/n would prevent Dr. Brenner from taking her away from her family. However, Y/n wanted to keep her powers just in case she needed to protect herself or someone else.

As she ran through the forest, Y/n wondered where she would spend the night. Currently, the woods were a dangerous option. At the same time when Eleven escaped, these monsters called Demogorgons appeared and were causinga commotion. Everyone else thought that they were gone, but Y/n knew better.

Unfortunately, Y/n's powers weren't able to find where Eleven could be, so she had to figure out how to find her some other way.

Soon, Y/n reached the part of Hawkins with houses and she knew that she had to start searching. As she was wandering around a neighborhood, she heard laughter coming from behind her. She flipped around and froze when she saw five boys and two girls riding on bikes and skateboards. Before Y/n could hide, everyone spotted her.

Y/n started to run when a soft voice called out, "Thirteen?"

Y/n stopped in her tracks. Could it be Eleven? Sure enough, it was Eleven, and she seemed to be friendly with the other kids. One by one, they all introduced themselves as Mike (an ultra hottie ❤️), Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max, and Varian.

There was something about Varian that struck Y/n with a feeling of curiosity. His beautiful blue eyes really complemented the single blue streak in his black hair, and his freckles have him a sense of a childlike personality. He was really cute and Y/n wanted to know more about him.

"Are you from Hawkins Lab?" Mike asked.

Y/n nodded and proved it by showing them the tattoo that Dr. Brenner had given her. It read: 013.

"What's your name?" said Max, who was eyeing Y/n suspiciously.

"Thirteen," Y/n answered. "My real name is Y/n."

"You remember your real name? How do you know if El doesn't know her name?" Varian questioned.

"I traveled to my past," Y/n stated.

"As in time travel?" Lucas' eyes widened.

"That's so cool!" Dustin beamed.

Y/n nodded. "I can stop time too."

"That's totally awesome! We could use that as an advantage sometime," complemented Varian.

Y/n blushed a deep shade of red.

"Hey, Y/n, do you want to come with us? We were just heading over to Mike's house," Dustin wondered. "You probably need a place to sleep for the night."

"Yeah, she can come with us," Eleven agreed. "We need to catch up."

Time Skip

"Alright, you can sleep down in my basement with us since we're having a sleepover," Mike explained. He gave me a blanket and a pillow to borrow. "Here you go!"

"Thank you," Y/n whispered. She continued to hold onto the blanket and pillow, unsure of what to do with them.

"You need any help?" Varian asked.

Y/n nodded a little too quickly. Varian chuckled to himself and set up everything for Y/n.

"There, all finished! I-if you'd like, maybe we can sleep next to each other," Varian offered.

Y/n nodded again. "Sure."

"Grawesome! I-I mean great...or awesome, whichever way you interpreted that," Varian stammered. Y/n giggled softly, causing Varian to blush slightly.

"Guys, it's getting really late. We should be going to bed," Max warned.

"Alright, we'll go to bed. I bet Y/n is exhausted," Mike agreed. He then shut off the lights and laid down beside Eleven.

Time Skip

As everyone else was sleeping, Y/n's eyes were wide awake. She couldn't sleep a wink despite being exhausted like Mike had said. She had had a nightmare. In that nightmare, there were lots of Demogorgons, only they were on all fours. They were attacking Y/n and everyone else. Before Y/n could figure out the outcome of the fight, her eyes burst open and she could only sit and ponder it.

Crash!

Y/n jumped at the sound of thunder. There must've been a thunderstorm going on outside. Y/n started to tremble and frantically glanced at Varian, who was sound asleep.

Crash!

Another loud crash of thunder happened. Y/n whimpered softly and tapped Varian's shoulder gently.

Varian sprung up, panting. "What happened, Y/n? Is everything ok?"

"I'm scared," Y/n replied. Tears steamed down her face. Varian gave Y/n a hug.

"It's alright. It's just a storm," Varian assured.

"Nightmare," Y/n added.

"You had a nightmare too? Do you want to talk about it?"

"Monsters...everywhere... We were fighting them... It was scary," Y/n explained.

"Monsters?" Varian looked as if he were processing that, then his eyes widened in realization. He rubbed comforting circles in Y/n's back. "It'll be alright. I promise! Do you want to sleep next to me?"

Y/n nodded and Varian scooted closer to her. "Goodnight, Y/n."

"Goodnight."

Time Skip

"Guys, we have a problem," Varian addressed to the party. "The Demogorgons are back."

"How do you know?" Max inquired.

"Y/n had a dream about then. She said that we were going to fight them again," Varian explained. Everyone's eyes widened.

"Does that mean we have to get prepared to fight them?" Lucas asked. Varian nodded.

"Yeah, we have to do something before the Demogorgons harm us again," Mike asserted.

"I can help," Eleven said. "Can you help too, Thirteen?"

Y/n nodded.

"Great, let's get started!" Varian shouted.

Time Skip

"You guys ready?" Mike whispered.

Everyone else nodded.

"Let's go inside." They had all found a portal to the Upside Down inside a tree and had decided to face the Demogorgons head on. Mike crawled though the tree first, then Eleven, Dustin, Lucas, and Max. All that was left was Varian and Y/n.

"Do you want me to go in first?" Varian asked. Y/n nodded. Varian could tell that Y/n was scared so he took her hand and said, "I'll protect you. I promise."

That seemed to make Y/n feel a little better as the two of them squeezed themselves through the old tree.

The Upside Down was...dark and scary. Everything looked dead and miserable.

"They've got to be around here somewhere..." Mike whispered.

All of a sudden, as if right on cue, a wild shriek could be heard, making everyone jump. It was a Demogorgon! It lunged for Will but Lucas pushed it off of him.

"Run!"

Everyone obeyed Lucas' cry and dashed for the tree, but it was blocked by another Demogorgon. Soon enough, more of them appeared and the party was surrounded.

"Y/n, please do something," Varian breathed out as he held Y/n's hand. Y/n focused all her energy and froze time. Normally, Y/n would be the only one moving, but Varian wasn't frozen either. Maybe it was because they were making sudden contact.

"Y/n, what're we going to do?" Varian asked.

"Unfreeze Eleven and get her to use her powers on those things," Y/n answered. She wiped her bloody nose, made her way to Eleven, pressed her hand on Eleven's shoulder, and focused on bringing her with them into the space time continuum.

"Eleven, we need you to use your powers," Varian told her.

Eleven quickly nodded and walked over to the Demogorgons. She took a deep breath in and out before holding her hand out in front of her and staining to use her mind powers to destroy them all.

"Th-Thirteen! H-help!" Eleven stained. Y/n ran to Eleven's side and held onto her shoulders as she used her energy to give Eleven the strength she needed. Both girls yelled out in pain as they were using up all their energy. It was too much to handle all at once.

Suddenly, Y/n felt someone hugging her from behind. It was Varian.

"I won't let you go, Y/n! I'll protect you!" Varian cried.

White light burst out and everyone in the party had been teleported back to the real world. Varian was still clutched onto Y/n and she could feel hot tears soaking the back of her shirt. Y/n stroked Varian's hair and planted a kiss on Varian's forehead.

"It's alright. We killed them," Y/n said gently.

"I'm so glad that you're ok," Varian sobbed. "You mean a lot to me."

Y/n smiled as she hugged Varian back. Soon, everyone in the party turned the moment into a group hug and they all celebrated together.
