30 • Demon
Y’all remember that time when Dae ‘kidnapped’ Hyuna and Jiyong came and lent him his car while he went to catch some bad demons? (it’s way back on chapter 15 LOOOOOL) Well here’s the continuation for it. LMAO it has been a lot of chapters since, really, but the time frame don’t pass a lot tho – so I thought I wanted to give you some insights of how Jiyong’s doing and stuff like that, cause honestly *tsk* im wondering what he’s doing too. Enjoy xx
Jiyong’s eyebrows met as he checked on his watch for the trillionth time. It was already past midnight and there was no demon in sight. Or Zachary, in that case. Demons were stronger at that time of the day and there was no way Zachary will pass that chance. Or perhaps, he was not going to come?
Jiyong turned around. He was not in Hyuna’s building, but stood perched on the rooftop of the opposite building. Royal Guards were all over the place, hiding in the shadows or out in the open carefully with their covers up as they waited for his sign. The only place left untouched was Hyuna’s apartment, which he left empty on a purpose.
Although most of the living being were asleep, there were still human around so they had to be careful not to forget about their covers.
“Sir, nothing odd is spotted in the lobby, also we have secured the back of the building.” Someone said into his link and he nodded.
“Good. Keep looking out.”
“Yes sir.”
He sighed. There was no way they had it wrong. According to Daesung, the demon had been around the building for a long time, so why would they escape tonight? It was as if they knew she was back with the prince…
“Sir, someone is walking toward the building.” Jiyong snapped out of his thoughts and turned his attention to the silhouette of a man walking toward the entrance. He could see the person clearly, the guy was wearing a black casual attire, and he was walking to the building with no care at all, like he was a tenant of the building.
But something was out of place.
Demons, have a weird smell on them, like a foul burning flesh. Low rank demons have stronger smell than the upper ones, because the upper ones could mask their smell like vampires changed their appearances for the sake of feeding. This man who was now pushing on the double glass doors which lead to the lobby did not have the burning smell on him, but it does not make him any less strange.
Jiyong clenched his teeth together. Should it be Daesung on his place right now, it will be easier to see the real identity behind every demons’ cover as he had the Eye gift which was very useful in demon hunting since no lie can escape his blue eyes.
“He entered the elevator, sir.”
“Okay, I’ll come down.” He let his vampire speed took over and he was at the front building in just a few seconds.
A tall guy who saw him arriving, placed his newspaper back onto the lounging table and went up to meet Jiyong.
The guy bowed. “Sir, he went up and it seemed like he stopped at the fifth floor.”
“Fifth?” Jiyong echoed and the guy nodded. It’s a floor above Yuna’s, he thought. “Any strange behaviour?”
The guy shook his head.
Jiyong tsked. He was certain something was wrong with the man. “Get someone to replace you. You’re coming with me.”

“Make sure to cover up.” Jiyong mumbled and the guard nodded. They were standing at the end of the corridor watching the apartment that the man entered. The door was left open indicating that he was not going to stay for long.
He knew he might seemed overreacting, but something was nagging on him about the dark clothed man. Before any doubting thoughts could enter his mind, the man walked out, with a little girl holding onto his hands. Jiyong’s eyebrows furrowed as the man left without locking the door of the apartment and walked straight to the elevator.
“Stay here.” He ordered and without looking back, he went after the man.
The walk was quiet as Jiyong tried to keep a distance between him and them. He seemed to walk faster while dragging the little girl behind him. They walked past the park where Hyuna was found and soon enough they came to the quiet part of the town, then the man turned to a dark alley.
What’s he doing? He followed but he was confused when he saw that the alley was empty.
“Hmm. Just as I thought.” A voice said. Jiyong turned on his heels, and there he was, the man whom he was tailing secretly, or so he thought.
“Demon.” Jiyong hissed and the man tilted his head, looking at Jiyong in amusement.
“Ah, as expected of the Prince’s best warriors.”
“What have you done to the girl?” Jiyong growled, sensing that they were not alone. But the little girl was nowhere to be found.
The demon tapped his index finger on his chin, as if he was thinking deeply. “Oh, that. I sent her to my boys. She’s in good hands.”
Jiyong clenched his teeth. “She is innocent. You have no use of her.”
The man shrugged. “Perhaps not, but my lord do.”
“Hades?” Jiyong narrowed his eyes. “Zachary.”
The man chuckled, waving his hand in dismissal. “So tell me, Jiyong. How’s your Prince doing? And oh, I bet he has his girl with him now. He does take a bit of a time to find a way to get her back, if you ask me.” He wriggled his finger to Jiyong, circling him slowly. “Ah, she’s different, I mean, it is her last life. But she’s different now, a bit… human. I am pretty sure it isn’t as hard to get to her as before.” He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively and Jiyong growled.
He knew the demon was trying to piss him off, but he was not going to eat the bait. Hell knows what will happen if someone started a fight with a demon, a vampire at that. Especially with a demon like the man who stood before Jiyong right then.
“Eligor.” Jiyong stated and smirked. “Why did Zachary send his finest demon to take a little girl?”
Eligor smiled. “Well, if I tell you then it would not be a surprise anymore, is it?” He moved past Jiyong. “Oh well, I have a little girl to deliver. Please rely this to your prince,” He turned around one last time and grinned, showing his pearly white teeth. “The end will be, soon.”
Jiyong’s eyebrow crinkled as black smoke rose from the ground, covering Eligor from the ground up in a fast pace. “I will now take my leave. There is no need to wait for an ambush anymore. We have what we need.”
Jiyong watched as the demon faded from the view before he let out an exasperated sigh.
“Fucking demons.”
