06. Cloud 9

The two of us were curled up on the couch. Spirited Away playing for the hundredth time since we got into the routine of watching movies on lazy nights.

Which tends to be quite often when you spend all free hours with each other.

Tucked against his chest, one of his legs draped along the length of the couch and the other hanging off the couch. His fingers soothing down my hair. An action that would have made me sleepy if we weren't watching my favorite movie of all time.

The credit were rolling, neither of us moving to get up. Any other day this would be the time we simply put on a different movie and stayed exactly where we were without moving a muscle. The coffee table was already overflowing with enough snacks to last us through two more movies. The flask holding enough coffee to keep us wake for 72 more hours.

Unfortunately before we could decide on our next movie my phone started vibrating.

With a groan, too lazy to shift away from the comfortable position I was in, I tried reaching for the phone from exactly where I sat.

This helped in doing nothing but dropping it to the ground. The ringing shutting off.

Shrugging it off, not really in the mood to talk to anyone who wasn't my blue haired angel, I settled back against him.

"Shouldn't you check who that was?" Antieno questioned. Already browsing through Netflix for the next movie to watch.

"If it's important they'll call back."

Chuckling he nuzzled against my hair. "Or you simply don't want to talk to anyone right now."

Making a sound of protest, I turned around to bury my face in his shirt. Cheeks heating up at him having hit jackpot with his guess.

"Don't expose me like that," I grumbled, giving a playful whack against his chest. No real pressure or force behind my hit.

Antieno laughed, but my phone started vibrating again. I groaned, pressing my face deeper into his chest, hoping the person would just give up. Did they really have to disturb this precious time with my angel? So thoughtless.

"Go on Dewdrop. We can watch after you're done."

He was gentle as he nudged me upright. Encouraging to talk to whoever was calling.

By the time I dragged myself off him and located my phone within the debris of our snack packets scattered all over the carpet the call cut off again.

Happy, I jumped right back between Antieno's legs and settled down. About to curl up and make myself comfy again when it started ringing once more.

"Oh for the love of-" I hissed as I finally checked my caller ID.

The 'Bestoo' flashing across the screen making me worried. Hyejin knew very well where I was and who I was with. It was unlike her to disrupt my date with Antieno - as she had taken to calling out hang outs.

"SOO EUNHA! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA FOR HOW LONG I'VE BEEN TRYING TO CALL YOU?" was the greeting I got the moment I answered.

Jumping at the unexpected volume, I held the phone away from my ear.

"I'VE BEEN WORRIED SICK THAT SOMETHING HAPPENED TO YOU FOR  THE PAST HOUR. WHY ON GODS GREEN EARTH WERE YOU NOT ANSWERING YOU PHONE?"

I flinched, feeling bad at having made her worried. It had never been my intention. I'd simply been to lazy to pick the phone. And didn't want my time with Antieno to be disturbed.

"I'm sorry Jin-ah. We were watching Spirited Away and my phone was on mute. I didn't hear the phone ringing," I said, hoping an explanation would calm her down. Keeping my own voice calm.

She growled, sounding just about done with me.

"You absolute Nincompoop. I was really starting to believe that I would never see my best friend again," she said.

Yet before I could say anything in defense of Antieno she went on speaking.

"You're okay? Really okay?"

"Yes Jin-ah. I'm fine. Perfectly alright."

I was tempted to ask what she thought might have happened to me. I kept my mouth shut because I was too conscious of the warm body pressed against my back. The fingers that carded through my hair. The gentle weight of his hand on my hip.

The last thing I wanted was for him to learn of Hyejin's true feeling about him. Not when he enjoyed himself so much last night. Not when he loved being around people who didn't look at him like he was some monster.

"Good. You were supposed to be at the Cafe an hour ago," Hyejin told. Her voice soft, as if aware where my thought process was heading. "Aren't you joining us?"

I sat upright at the reminder.

"Oh shit! Is it eight already?" I asked, looking around the room for the time. He didn't have a clock in this room.

Antieno looked alarmed. Hand rubbing up and down my spine.

"No. Not yet."

"Ah... Then you guys get started. I'm not going to be of any help if I come now anyway. I'll join for the photo shoot," I said settling back against Antieno.

Sue me, he was really comfortable to lie on.

Humming, Hyejin asked me not to be late before hanging up.

"Everything good?" Antieno questioned when I tossed my phone back to the table. It bounced off a snack packet and clattered to the floor. I made no move to pick it up.

Again, lying on Antieno was way too comfortable for that.

I hummed, eyes closing as I shifted to make my self all cuddled up against him.

"Yeah. Oppa is going to propose to Sora tonight so everyone is setting everything up down by the park. I'm the photographer. But I won't be needed until at least Midnight so it's cool."

Antieno laughed, bending to leave a quick peck against my forehead.

"Shouldn't you go help them set up?"

I shook my head, tilting my head to meet his gaze.

"That would a disaster," I said, eyes wide in earnest.

His smile dimmed, turning more content than amused. His hand wrapped around my waist, shifting me higher on his chest. Pulling me face-to-face with him. Other hand trailing down from my hair to cup my cheek.

"You aren't a disaster Dewdrop. Just clumsy," he said. Thumb stroking against my cheek bone. Unaware of the fire his touch ignited in my body.

Unaware of the stampede of horses he set free in my heart. The molten lava he turned my blood into. His gaze watering the flowers that bloomed in my stomach. Making me full. Nauseas, but in a good way.

"My Butterfinger," he said. Laughter soft as his hand slipped lower. Down the curve of my hips and to my thighs. Hooking them around my knees, he pulled my legs apart. Making me straddle him. Settling me in an unawkward position on his lap.

My hands flew to his shoulders, catching my balance. The air between us turning electrified. My breath feeling heavier than it was. His gaze landed on my parted lips and the whole world tunneled to him.

Him and him alone.

From his ruffled blue hair to his mesmerizing eyes. The perfect raspberry lips to the beauty mark on his lower lip.I was close enough to count those beautiful long lashes. Close enough that his lips were just a breath away from mine.

I was suddenly too aware of my body. Of how nothing but our hands touched the other. How I was hovering over him, so close to touching. Yet not close enough.

The thudding of my heart. The sweat soaking my palms. The weight of his palm against my waist. Touch burning. The tremble in my thighs as I fought to not just flop down on his lap.

"We can meet up again tomorrow Bubble. Do you want me to drop you off at Hajun's cafe?" he asked. Voice low and raspy. Not disturbing the crackle in the air.

I shook my head. "That's okay. I'm not needed this instant. And I'm busy tomorrow. Have work," my words were a mumble. The answer a little too distant. Mind elsewhere.

When he lifted his eyes back to mine it was with a question. Permission.

I was too lost in the cosmic colors of his eyes to give an answer. Trapped between the glowing purple runes, hieroglyphs and other forms of ancient text that swirled in his iris'.

They say eyes are windows to the soul. Tio's eyes weren't the windows, rather the doors to the whole new world. A world you could see if you just looked.

When he tugged me closer, head tilting, it was with enough time for me to pull away. His actions slow, soothing.

He stopped with our lips barely touching. Eyes jumping up to mine. The question remaining. Thumb adding the lightest of pressure on my bottom lip. Hand on my hip tightening his hold.

My mind too foggy. Lost in the hypnotic moment to make sense of what was happening.

I wet my lips, suddenly feeling parched. Eyes remaining locked on his. The action caused his pupils to dilate, a predatory look replacing the lust that had been filling them.

When I made no move to pull away - or push him away - he covered that last breath of a distance between us. Soft pillow like lips pressing right against mine.

A/N~

Hello Lovely readers, I'm back.

I am very sorry for the long break I had to take, but I simply had no time to write anything this past month. Now that ramazan has ended and I can haggle between babysitting my sister's three year old, I can hopefully update weekly again.

I would love some criticism, and to know your thoughts on the story so far, so don't hesitate to leave a review. Hope you enjoyed reading and it was worth you time.

Rena~
