The Black Knight: Issue #1: Birth of the Black Knight

Atlantex, Georgia

Deep in the heart of the most technologically advanced city in the world and new capital of Georgia. A family visits the large city, having invested what money that had into the largest corporation in the state: Techopolis.

The visiting family consists of Franklin Wayne, his wife Elizabeth Wayne, their two sons Castle and Titanus Wayne, and their adopted daughter Emily Wayne. Castle is the eldest of the children at 10-years-old, with Titanus following at 8-years-old, and Emily at just 1-year-old.

They have spent all day admiring the city and all the new technology that will be coming soon to stores. The only ones that really caught their eyes were the ones they would need to use in a few years. The sign before them reads: "Tractors and Farming Equipment: Tough as the People Using Them! Brought to you by Techopolis!"

After a long day of admiring what they're investments have created, they decide it's time to head back home. They lead the kids through the streets and are almost to the car when two speeding cars on opposite sides of the street come along. The windows roll down and the two cars fire at one another. The bullets fly randomly and sporadically. Franklin and Elizabeth use their bodies to protect their children as the bullets fly.

When the noise stops and the dust settles, Castle and Titanus struggle to move. They fight against their parents bodies until they finally manage to push them off of them. That's when they see it. The blood...the lifeless eyes...the cold skin.

"Mom? Dad?" Castle asks as he checks on them. "Mom! Dad!"

Emily continues crying as Titanus holds her, looking up at his brother. As he stares at his brother, he sees the life and joy that were once there leave completely. It's as if a dark shadow has flooded his eyes.

Months later, after the funeral of the Waynes. Each of the children inherited everything their parents owned. That, unfortunately, was the end of the good news. In order to truly provide for the children, the godparents decide to split the children up. Castle and Titanus will live with their godfather in Techopolis while Emily will live with their godmother on the neighboring farm.

Years Later

Castle Wayne is returning to his home city Techopolis. He had left when he was a child to learn from the greatest minds and fighters in the world all before the age of 16. When he turned 16, he was approached by the military for his prototype suit of armor. He refused to make more, but agreed to enlist and serve his country as an armored warrior. But now, he has returned home.

He climbs out of the limousine to a swarm of camera flashes and interviewers asking him questions. His godfather was a very wealthy man and, by raising the Wayne brothers, put them in the spotlight.

"Captain Wayne! Captain Wayne! Is it true that you've purchased the majority shares of Techopolis!?"

"Captain Wayne! Captain Wayne! Is it true you're planning to merge Techopolis with Mr. Maxwell's company!?"

"Captain Wayne! Captain Wayne!"

He doesn't respond to them or really acknowledge them. While walking, he winks at a few of the women nearby and makes them blush.

Castle Wayne has short, messy black hair and black facial hair to match along with a full beard. He isn't exactly someone the ladies would call ugly. In fact, many find him breathtaking and handsome.

Once he's inside the large hotel that his penthouse is in, he sighs a sigh of relief. Finally, he doesn't have to be surrounded by nosey reporters. He walks through to the elevator and goes to the top floor. Once at the top of the large skyscraper of the hotel, the doors open and his ears are filled with metal music.

He nods along to the song as he walks through his workshop. Castle walks to the source of a series of thumps and thuds. It's a large man with green skin and metallic claws protruding from his hands and forearms. He's currently watching and mimicking the fighting style of Shang Lee, one of the greatest fighters of all time.

"Hey, Cas," the big beast says, his voice booming and deep.

"Titanus. It's good to see you again, big man. How's life?"

"Can't complain," he says, his focus unwavering.

"Mimicking fighters still?"

"Once I learn it, I never forget it. Can't wait to perfect this one. Should take me," he pauses to look at a clock on the wall. "Three more minutes."

"I'll let you get to it," Castle says to his brother with a smile while walking away to a suit of armor that rests on top of a trench coat.

He glares at the suit and smirks. Later that night, clad in his new suit, Castle Wayne has transformed into the Black Knight. He looks over his suit as he walks over to the helicopter landing pad on the side of the building. Castle turns his hands over to reveal one energy cannon/stabilizer on either palm. A small smirk forms on his face as he uses the palm cannons and the thrusters on the bottom of his boots to take flight.

The Knight of Vengeance rises in the air, ready to dish out punishment to the guilty for their crimes against his city. And judging by the looks of things, it's going to be a long night for the dark hero as the sounds of screams and gunfire echo in darkness
