I punched the wall in my room out of anger, my jaw clenched tight. As much as I hated Dominic, I hated fighting him, too. But that doesn't mean he can just say those things to me.

I heard a knock on the door.

'I am NOT going to apologize to that jerk, Josie!!' I shout back at to whoever was behind the door.

'Its me,' A familiar voice snapped back.

'Oh, Raven.' I sigh 'Come in.'

She open's the door, walking in and taking a long look at me. She grabbed my hand and pulled me into the bathroom, making me sit on the counter while she got out a first aid box.

'You're really stupid, you know. Fighting like that,' she says, opening the box and not even looking at me.

'What? You think I couldn't have beat him?!' I snap. I hate that she thinks I'm weaker than him.

'No,' she sighs 'I just hate when guys fight.'

She kept silent as she started to treat the cut on my bottom lip and the bruises on my face. But she still doesn't even look me in the eye.

She just stays silent for the rest of the time.

'Ah,' I wince I pain when she wipes the disinfectant on my lip.

No response.

The cut really started to sting badly and it was if she didn't even care.

'Oww! What's you're problem?!' I throw her hand away from my face.

She turns away, packing up the kit and putting it away.

'I heard what you said, you know,' she finally broke her silence 'About how you didn't care if I smiled or not,'

My eyes widened. 'I didn't mean what I said! I just spat it out in anger!'

'Sure you did,' she sighs in disbelief, closing that cabinet where the first aid kit is kept and starting to walk away.

'Wait!' I hold her back with my hand around her wrist, pulling her back to me 'I'm sorry about what I said before. I was a real jerk.'

'And?' She raised her brow.

'And a mega dumbass. I just thought that Dominic was better than me. For you. I mean, he made you laugh when I couldn't. I guess I felt stupid.'

'And?' Her eye row was raised higher.

'And jealous. I'm sorry. Can you forgive me?' I ask.

'Before I can forgive you, you have to forgive Dominic. He really meant it when he was apologizing to you. He wasn't really trying to cheer me up. When you were in the other room with Josie, I told him about how you were looking so sad this morning so he was actually trying to cheer you up. Not hit on me, you mega jealous dumbass.'

'Oh,' I blushed.

'But I think you pissed him off when you started fighting so you'll have to apologize as well as forgive him.'

'Hey, he started the fight!' I snap.

'Really?' She said back in disbelief.

'Okay, fine. I punched him first, but that was an accident!! Plus he was really asking for it!'

'Apologize! Now!'

'Since when did I start taking orders from you, Simmons?!'

'Say sorry now Claude or you'll be sleeping on the floor of this room for the rest of your life! 'Cause I get the damn bed! Understand?'

'Hell no, you little blackmailer.' I tell her straight.

'Fine, if you don't then I won't talk to you until you do!'

'Come on Raven, that's being childish!' I complain.

'Oh is that a fly I hear because I can't hear it!' She yells.

'That makes no sense, Simmons,' I sigh.

'It makes perfect sense!!' She yells back and then realises what she's done so adds 'And also I'm speaking to myself because there is no one in this room but me. La la la!!!' She covers her hears and runs out the room.

'That is actually the most maturest thing you've ever done,' I yell in sarcasm.

'Oh, is that the fly that I can't hear? Because I still can't hear it!!!' She shouts from the other room. I roll my eyes.

I hear her footsteps fade so it must mean she's left the bedroom. I get out of the bathroom and bedroom and go downstairs to the kitchen for some food.

I usually get hungry after a fight.

I grab a carton of milk out of the fridge and withought pouring it into a glass first, I drink straight from the carton. In one gulp, I finish off the milk, toss it in the bin and rumage for more food.

So far, I've swallowed all the swiss cheese, scoffed up everything in the drawer containing all the protein foods. So now we're out of meat for the next week unless Virgil decides to go grocery shopping.

I was chewing on the bone of a chicken leg when I heard footsteps behind me.

'Are you still pretending I don't exist, Raven?' I sigh turning around and still chewing until I realise it's Dominic.

'Wow, your footsteps sound so delicate that I thought you were my girlfriend.' I scoff, ready for whatever punch I was gonna get.

But surprisingly, there was no punch. Or insulting comeback. Dominic carried on walking around the kitchen, stopping at the pantry and the beginning to consume every last slice of bread in there.

So he must get hungry after a fight, too. Well, we do swim in the same gene pool.

'Save some bread for the rest of us, too, Domi-dick,' I remark. But no response 'Seriously? Is everyone giving me the silent treatment?!' Still no response. 'Oh well,' I sigh 'I guess I deserve this. More than I deserve anything. More than deserve Raven.'

I carry on devouring everything in the fridge, while Dominic scoffed down everything in the pantry.

'Josie told me about everything,' Dominic finally says.

'About what?' I gulp.

'That little chat you had with her in the kitchen.' His voice is lower and even deeper than his usual voice. 'And before you start blaming her for anything, just remember that you promised her to not tell Raven. So she hasn't. She's only told me.'

'That's even worse,' I admit quietly, but he's still heard what I said.

'Why do you always distance yourself from everyone else, Claude?' Dominic finally looked at me 'Why do you think you're the only one that feels the way you do? You think I don't have someone I love so much that I'm scared to death that she'll ever leave me?!'

I look at him, watching his gaze drop as he sat down on a chair by the kitchen table. He takes out his phone and stares at it, starting to smile at a picture he was looking at.

I slowly sit on the chair beside him, looking curiously at the picture on his phone.

It was of a young woman, standing next to Dominic. She had wavy, light brown hair that was tied in a braid and she was wearing a baby pink dress which matched the pink tie that Dominic was wearing in the photo.

'Her name's Nancy. Have I ever told you about her?' He asks, knowing that I was looking at the picture.

'No,' I shake my head.

'Her and I met a while back. In school. She's a half demon, her father was human. We fell in love which was tricky because her father really hated demons after he found out his wife and daughter were and he...just really didn't like the idea of us being together. But I didn't want to lose her. So I tried convincing her dad a lot. A lot. Until finally he started warming up to the whole 'demon' thing and now, well.... Nancy's my fiancée now.'

'What?' I ask 'You and Nancy are engaged?'

'Yeah,' he sighs 'The wedding's in two weeks and I came over here to invite you guys. Wanted you to be my best man. Even wanted Raven to be a bridesmaid. But...' He pauses 'I totally get if you're still mad at me and don't want to come. It's just that you and Raven have been through a hard time recently and both of you seem miserable and I just wanted to change that, I guess,'

I think for a minute, still staring at the picture on the phone. Both Dominic and Nancy were smiling in the photo 'You think it'll make Raven happy if we go?'

'I don't know about her but I'd be really happy if you did.'

'Really?'

'You may not be my only cousin, Claude, but you are my favourite,' he adds.

'You know what,' I smile, handing back his phone 'We'll both attend.'

'Great!' He grinned with joy.

'One more thing: I'm sorry I punched you in the face.' I apologize.

'Sorry I mocked you in front of your girlfriend,' he apologized back.

We both shook hands.

'I think we both know the moral of today, Claude,' he starts to say.

'What is the moral, then?' I chuckle.

'Remember to tie your shoelaces Claude because next time you fall on your face, I won't be there to save you because I'll be there making you YouTube famous, understand?'

'Whatever!' I laugh.

One time I was goofing around with my cousin in a store and things got a little too far... And my cousin broke a display. Well, he made a run for it but before I could run, too, an employee caught me and made me clean it up. mr__lozur you bitch, you made me clean something I didn't do.
