Teagan stared at the bundle of cloth with confusion then looked up at Ari before looking at Cade. He tried to gently move Cade off of him but the moment that he started to slide the younger boy off of him he started whimpering in his sleep. Teagan stopped as hearing the whimpers made his heart ache and pulled Cade closer, his eyes gaining the burgundy color again and shifted around a bit while keeping a protective hold on Cade. "He's got you wrapped around his finger." Ari mused as they watched the two boys then got up and walked back into their office.

Teagan sighed but didn't disagree with what they said and started combing his fingers through Cade's hair as he quietly hummed. Teagan tensed when he heard the door to the rest of the building open and watched wearily as two people dragged in another who was unconscious. "ARI!!" One of them yelled, not noticing Teagan and Cade. Cade's eyes snapped open and he curled up defensively around the cloth and bared his teeth silently at the three unknown people. Ari walked out of their office and glared at them while crossing their arms over their chest and the two swallowed fearfully and stepped back. "What have I told you about yelling in here? Especially when others are here?"

The two look around and finally notice the other two and blink in surprise. "I didn't see them.." One of them said and looked back at Ari while shifting how they were holding the unconscious person. Ari sighed and motioned towards one of the beds and the two nodded and shuffled over then hoisted the person on it. Cade silently watched, not relaxing in the slightest and Teagan held him protectively as he glared at the three. One of them left as the other sat in a chair next to the bed and stared dully at the floor.

I know this is way shorter then the other chapters(other chapters(so far) have over 1200 words, this has like 300/400 words) and its up way later then I thought but I have been busy. After I got back home I started getting stuff together for school and I'm in school at the moment. So I'm either chatting with friends, doing homework, doing a mix of the previous two, eating, or sleeping.

If anyone actually likes this and I don't update for a while just fuckin' pester me about it, it'll remind me to work on it. Also pointing out grammatical/punctuation errors would be appreciated.
