I woke up slowly and painfully. My face hurt badly. I groaned as I got up. My face felt slightly distorted, but like this was the way it was supposed to be. I looked around and spotted something shinny on the floor. A mirror. It was a simple silver oval mirror. I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked like myself back before I had been forced to become one of those happy go lucky Pretties. I smiled and put my free hand on the glass. It was slightly smudged, but I could care less about what happened to it.

"You like the gift I got you?" I turned my head to see Astrix standing at the door. My heart started speeding up again and I felt heat run to my cheeks. I take back what I said earlier, I do care about what happens to this mirror now. After all, it was a gift from him.  "T-thank you Astrix. I love it." I said. "Good. It took me forever to find something like that." He said. Oh wow, I'm so glad I didn't say that I didn't like the mirror out loud. Now, I know it's from him. I care about him.

I think I am in love with Astrix. Oh no. This could ruin me completely. What if he doesn't except me? "Shay? Are you okay?" Astrix asked. "Oh y-yeah I'm fine." I said. "Alright. Come outside when you're ready. I'll be waiting for you." He said and walked out. I got up and fixed myself a bit. Then, I walked out. I looked around for Astrix, but I only saw Tally and David. They were walking and talking together and holding hands. I sighed in envy. "Hey Shay." Astrix said. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my cheek. I smiled and said, "I love you too Astrix." And we smiled at each other happily.
