Sans: Hey it's not a problem, you did a good job kid, anyways, can I ask you something?

Blue: What is it?

Sans: Do you really trust Frisk?

Blue:.......What?

Sans: Just a thought

Blue: Well, she is my best friend so I do

Sans: You haven't noticed.....anything weird about her?

Blue:....Now that you mention it, she has acted a bit strange, ever since we fell down the hole.

Sans: There is a reason for that, I'll give her the time to tell you but if she doesn't....then I will

Blue: You seem to know more about Frisk than even myself

Sans: Oh you have no idea kid, there is a lot that you don't know. You're basically a pawn in all of this, but don't think about it too much. Just enjoy yourself for now, so....want to continue?

Blue: Sure, but first, can I know what is the next area?

Sans: Yeah, it's a place called Waterfall, peaceful, I think you specifically will like it

Blue: I see.....well then, let us continue, I want to see if I can conjure a ranged weapon

Sans: Yeah actually, I want to see you use your blade a bit more, need to see how well you can use it

Blue: Right

My hand swaps into my newly made blade while Sans stands back, just like Papyrus, he can conjure up his own bones. He sends them at me but at a slow pace, I slash each bone in half but Sans begins to send them at a much quicker pace.

It was hard to keep up but I knew that I had to if I wanted to get better. Eventually Sans deemed me good enough with the blade, I wanted to create a ranged weapon but Sans tells me that I will have to do it in my own time.

Blue: Again, thank you Sans for helping me

Sans: And like I said before, it's no problem, but this is more for you to be ready than just for understanding

Blue: To be ready? For what?

Sans: You'll see, just know that you're going to need to learn quickly, I don't know what the limit is for your magic but it can take you to great heights. Frisk can hold her own but you're not like her. You need your own set of skills, so master what you can

Blue: I will, wait....what can Frisk do?

Sans: Like I said before, if she doesn't tell you....then I will.....anyways! Let's head back! Those two must have completed that date by now

Blue: Okay then.....

I was confused on what Sans keeps referring to, something about Frisk, they clearly know each other but how? What is Frisk not telling me? Will she tell me? Or will she not?

Who knows, I assume Frisk will tell me at some point because we are friends after all.....right? If not, then Sans will tell me, but now I'm really curious, what am I not seeing? Understanding? What game is this.....and why I'm a "pawn"?

We head back to Snowdin and find Frisk and Papyrus outside the latter's house. It seems they were done with what they needed to do.

Frisk's POV

I had just finished the date with Papyrus, it was nice but as always, it ends with us only being friends. I wondered what Sans was doing with Blue and when they would be done, but then I look to the side to see that they were back.

Frisk: Oh, you're back!

Blue: And you seem to be done, how was it?

Papyrus: It was good Human Blue! We confessed our feelings but ultimately stayed as friends!

Blue:......Okay then, that's.....nice?

He was definitely confused and had no idea what Papyrus was talking about. Oh he is so cute and adorable when he is confused like this!

Chara: Oh you find him cute as well?

Frisk: S-Shut up Chara!

Chara: Wait, do you actually like him? Like really?

Frisk: [Blushes] N-No! He is just a friend!

Chara: Yeah sure, you say what you believe is right

Sans: Well kiddos, have fun in the next area. I'm sure you're busy

Frisk: We are

Sans: Then get going

Sans spoke with a little bit of aggression towards me and I knew he was still mad, Blue was confused but didn't question it as always. We moved onto Waterfall which wasn't far from the outskirts of Snowdin, it was getting darker but there were some lights around us to know we were now in Waterfall.

We walked onto the main path and I watched as Blue was fascinated by the early parts of Waterfall, he felt more relaxed in here and I was glad that he was like that. As we kept pushing further, we found the monster kid and Sans at a sentry station, I quickly go and save while leaving Blue in a confused state.

Blue: How did he?

Frisk: It's best not to question it, he will tell you that he took a shortcut

Monster Kid: Yo! Are you two sneaking out to see her as well? Awesome, she's the coolest right?

Blue: Hmm?

Monster Kid: I want to be like her when I grow up!

Blue: Are you talking about Undyne?

Monster Kid: Yeah!

Blue: Good for you

Sans: Hey kiddos

Blue: Hello Sans, we just saw you and now you're here? How?

Sans: What? Haven't seen a guy with two jobs before?

Blue: No

Sans: Well now you do. Anyways, I'm going to Grillby's, want to come?

Frisk: But didn't you tell us to go ahead-?

Blue: Okay

Frisk: B-Blue!

Chara: Dammit, I don't want to see this idiot for any longer

Sans: Well if you insist, I'll pry myself away from my work. Over here, I know a shortcut

Sans gets up and leads both of us to Grillby's with his iconic shortcut, MK also followed us which Sans was fine with.

Sans: Fast shortcut, huh?

Blue: Indeed, I want to do this as well

Sans: Ehh, we'll see if your magic can do that

Sans started to greet everyone and then leads us to the front where we take a seat, of course it was me who got the bad seat, the one with the whoopee cushion.

Sans: Ah man, got to be careful of some weirdos you know?

Blue: It's harmless right?

Sans: Ah of course it is, anyways, want to eat? The both of you did have to battle my brother and he does put you through it

Frisk: I could eat a burger right now, Blue?

Blue: I'm not really hungry

Sans: Huh, interesting, well you might as well have some fries. Hey Grillby!

Grillby: Don't worry, I heard

Grillby goes to the back so that he can get our food. While we wait, Blue and Sans started to talk with each other, the two have gotten closer and I'm happy for Blue to do that, he never talked much and barely formed long sentences.

But now, he is talking more and more with other people and it's just so nice to see. He still is quiet at times but I think he prefers to be like that, which is absolutely fine.

Sans: So what do you think of Papyrus, Blue?

Blue: I think he is an interesting skeleton, he is very hyper and has a good heart, he is also entertaining. Papyrus mentions that he is cool and I believe he is.

Sans: Yeah, my brother is the coolest, you have to agree that Papyrus tries real hard. He wants to join the Royal Guard one day so he strives to be better.

Blue: And I think he will, he is capable of doing so

Sans: Of course he will. You know, one day, he went to the house of head of the Royal Guard

Blue: I'm assuming he begged her to let him in?

Sans: Yep, but she closed the door on him because it was midnight. The next day, he was still there so she decided to him warrior training.

Blue: Interesting, she didn't reject him

Sans: How can she when she sees the commitment from him? So anyways, I wanted to ask the two of you something

Blue: What is it?

Sans: Have you seen a Talking Flower?

Blue: A Talking Flower?

Sans: Yeah

The room felt much darker now, nothing around us mattered, the focus was only on the three of us.

Blue: Yes, yes I do know about talking flowers

Sans: So you do know all about it, the Echo Flower?

Blue: Wait.....Echo Flower?

Sans: They're all over the marsh, say something to them and they repeat it over and over.

Blue: That's fascinating but why are we talking about a flower?

Sans: Well Papyrus saw one, it began to whisper to him about many things like flattery and encouragement. Someone was trying to trick him so keep an eye out okay?

Blue: I will, I'm very trusting but I don't plan to let myself get jumped

Sans: Good, oh look, your food is here

Blue: Hmm?

Grillby bring us our food and Blue eats some of his fries but when he finished, he didn't feel full at all. Sans was surprised but I knew about him being like this, he has always had this problem and the local hospital weren't sure why he was like this.

They recommend a healthy meal instead of ice cream 24/7 but Blue refused that, as expected from him.

Blue's POV

Sans leaves Grillby's after telling the man on fire to put the bill on his tab, I can only imagine what it looks like with how frequent he comes and the reactions from Grillby. Myself, Frisk and our new companion Monster Kid, who we call MK, leave and head for Waterfall.

When we walk past Sans' second station, we reached one of the waterfalls.

MK: Yo, do you mind if I can go ahead? I want to be the first one to see Undyne!

Blue: Go ahead

Frisk: But be careful!

MK: Don't worry! Undyne will save me if anything bad happens!

Blue: I trust that she will

MK dashes across the water and we just calmly walk forward, avoiding the rocks that fell down the waterfall. We find some long patches of grass that Frisk suddenly pulls me down into. She tells me to be quiet and I listen, trusting her right now was the key to survival.

Right above us was Papyrus approaching someone in full armour. They also had red hair tied in a ponytail and I can only assume that this is Undyne, the fabled Captain of the Royal Guard.

She was going to be a problem.

Papyrus: H-Hey! Undyne! I have my report! Uhh regarding the humans I called you about earlier, I think I um....how I say-?

Undyne: Did you fight them?

Papyrus: Y-Yes! Of course I did! I fought them valiantly!

Undyne: Did you capture them?

Papyrus: What? W-Well....no, I tried very hard Undyne, but in the end, I failed.

Undyne: I see, then I will do it myself, their souls are mine

Papyrus: W-What? You're going to take their Souls yourself? B-But Undyne! You don't have to destroy them! You see-!

Undyne: Papyrus......are you defying me?

Papyrus: I.....I see, I'll help you in any way I can

Papyrus leaves and I try to move forward, unfortunately, the tall grass makes so much noise so Undyne was alerted to our presence. I hear the heavy thuds coming from her suited footsteps and didn't move an inch

She summons a Blue spear and looks at the grass, hoping to spot me. She then stops and takes a few steps backwards, disappearing somehow. We left the grass and it turns out that MK was in the grass as well.

Blue: MK?

MK: Yo Blue! Did you see the way she was staring at you? That was awesome!

Frisk: No it wasn't! Blue that was dangerous!

Chara: You did that on most of your runs

Frisk: Shut it Chara!

MK: I'm so jealous! What did you do to get her attention?!

Blue: Nothing really, she just heard me

MK: Awesome! Let's go and watch her beat up some bad guys!

Blue: I hope I'm not one of them.

We continue to press forward and encountered many different monsters, Waterfall was very quiet besides the rain and it made me feel.....whole. But then again, that might be a lie because I don't even know who I am.

It may seem deep but it's the truth, is it not?

We traversed the waters and noticed that MK kept running ahead, we didn't know where he was at this point but we still move forward. Eventually we were on a bridge and just as we were going to start crossing it, a blue spear almost hits us.

Frisk: Oh no! It's Undyne!

Blue: She found us already?

We look at the other side and saw Undyne, she didn't speak and conjured up three spears to throw at us. I block them with my Shield and tell Frisk to run, we start to run across the bridge while Undyne continued to throw spears at us.

Before we got to the end, Undyne jumped on the bridge and had a spear in her hand so I change my right hand into a hand blade and clash with her spear.

Undyne: Intersting, I have never seen magic like this before, who are you, human? Where did you get this?

Blue: You don't need to know

Undyne: Then die and surrender your soul!

It was no surprise that Undyne was strong but I was still able to hold my own. I try to push her back but I wasn't strong enough to overpower her, but when she does the same thing, I go flying back. I decide to run again and grabbed Frisk's hand, taking her with me.

Undyne was too experienced for me so the smart tactic was to run away. We entered the next area and found more tall grass to hide in, we kept quiet as we could hear the heavy thuds of Undyne again. She was right near us now and waited for a moment before she grabbed something out of the grass.

Instead of one of us, it was Monster Kid that she grabbed, he had stars in his eyes after being noticed by his idol. Undyne didn't say anything and just puts him down, walking away to look for us.

When we stepped out of the grass, MK couldn't stop jumping with excitement.

MK: Did you see that?!

Frisk: We did, MK, you must be happy

MK: Happy? I'm never washing my face again! I'll see you ahead! [Runs Off]

Blue: That was close

Frisk: Yeah it was, are you okay?

Blue: I'm fine

Frisk: What was that? The blade? I have never seen that before

Blue: Oh right, when you were on that date, Sans trained me and helped me unlock this

Frisk: O-Oh, I see

Blue: Is something wrong?

Frisk: N-No, it's just that your hand isn't there anymore

Blue: Oh right, forgot to turn it off....or something like that

The blade swaps with my hand and now we were ready to move on, I noticed that there were signs on the wall. I decided to read them and realised that they were talking about how a monster soul wasn't comparable to the power of a human soul.

A monster could take a human soul when a human dies and then that mixed soul would be very powerful. I also listened to the Echo flowers and the many conversations they picked up, unaware that Frisk was having her own conversation.

Frisk: Did you hear that?

Chara: The comedian is preparing your friend....but for what?

Frisk: I don't know, you don't think it's for......us right?

Chara: Actually, you might be right. He sees the potential of his magic and is prepping him up for a fight against us, he wants your friend to stop us.....but he won't be able to

Frisk: You don't think so?

Chara: No, he is too weak for us. His soul, whatever it is, isn't comparable to yours.

Frisk: But.....I don't want to fight him

Chara: And I will, but you might have to at one point, especially when he hears about what you have done

Frisk: Y-You were apart of it as well!

Chara: Oh I know, but don't act as if you're innocent as well

It started to rain now but eventually we found some umbrellas. Frisk took one and placed it above her, I didn't need one because I enjoyed the feeling of the water dropping onto me. Sans was right....I really do like Waterfall, it was a place that I would live in.

I hope this area is long so that we can spend as much time as possible here.
