Sans: Damn, that's some respectable power

Gaster: If a member was still alive and left the Council, they could choose who to succeed in their former position, an example being Rin Winterway.

Asgore: She took her sister's place, Ellie Winterway, after she stepped down. If a member passed away or was removed forcibly, then people could audition in a sense or be recommended by nobles or royal families

Gaster: After the humans defeated the monsters, the Wizard Council were the ones to seal us underground. The members at the time were, Roy and Shane Goldburn, Rin Winterway, Kody Fallenfire, Mila Rutrow.....and Copper and Agate Lightvale.

Sans: Were you close with these guys?

Asgore: I'd say we were, which is why it hurt when they decided to attack us

Gaster: We didn't know what happened on the surface while we were sealed. But I managed to find some old books that date back then, I found out that the first five that I mentioned had gone missing. Leaving the Lightvales to rule the entirety of the Human Kingdom, and the council disbanding.

Sans: Anything special about these two?

Asgore: Agate Lightvale was the twin sister of Copper Lightvale and a member of the Wizard Council entitled the Wizard of Bravery. She probably was one of the best around, and it seems that her influence is still affecting us today

Sans: This Agate.....what's up with her? And what do you mean influence?

Asgore: I keep mentioning Agate because this Betty girl, has traces of Agate and her little sister Amber

Sans: What? Are you saying that she reincarnated or something?

Asgore: No.....she used the Bete Noire Spell

Gaster: It can't be true.....

Sans: The what?

Asgore: The Bete Noire Spell is a forbidden and dangerous spell that revolves around the use of Runic Magic to construct a Bete Noire, an entity of pure destruction.

Sans: Are you saying that this Betty is one?

Asgore: Absolutely.

Sans: Tell me the story about the Bete Noire

Gaster: A wizard long ago inverted their trait and casted the spell, making the first ever Bete Noire. The Bete Noire was later killed, and the spell became one of the most strictly forbidden inverted spells known to date.

Sans: I can see why, but did you say....that they inverted their trait?

Asgore: To create a Bête Noire, one must invert their trait and have a corpse as the vessel. The soul of the caster will turn pink with pink magic in their hands, mixing the spell’s magic with the inverted trait.

Gaster: The soul will then convert the chosen vessel into magic and absorb it, turning into the body. The Bete Noire will retain the consciousness of the original caster and retain the abilities of their trait.

Sans: So is Betty another person?

Asgore: She is meant to be Agate Lightvale, but I sense more of her sister, Amber inside....it's like a fusion between the two sisters, making this confusing for even myself.

Sans: Yeah, this is all crazy. I've got to let Frisk and Chara know about this, because they're going to be involved with all of this

Gaster: We need to be on the lookout as well, I heard she just disappeared like that, so she could be anywhere

Sans: Don't worry, my experiences of being a sentry have all come down to this

Gaster: Yes, like that has done you any good

Sans: Damn, you're really going to target me like that? You're pretty humerus, aren't you?

Gaster: [Sighs] Just go and warn Frisk

Sans: I will, she would want to hear this

Sans uses one of his shortcuts to leave Asgore's house, and now it was just the Former King and his old Royal Scientist standing in silence.

Gaster: What do you think, Asgore? About all of this?

Asgore:.....I'm not sure what to think, old friend. This is clearly the past coming back to us, but why did Agate even do this in the first place? It's as if she knew that one day, monster kind would be free

Gaster: Clearly, because this Betty wants to stop the peace between the two races.

Asgore: If this Betty truly wants to do this, then we shall leave the fighting to the others....specifically Blue

Gaster: He is now stronger than all of us....although I could still give it a go against the Bete Noire

Asgore: Are you saying that you have complete access to your full power again?

Gaster: Potentially, it's a guess at this point, but if not, then it will be down to the boy. I don't even think something as powerful as a Bete Noire could withstand the attacks of a machine, that's powered by the CORE.

Asgore: I agree, especially since he was already so capable before.

On the topic of the Cyborg Boy, he had just finished helping Napstablook with his music, and now they were going to listen to it.

Blue: And that should be it, should we give it a listen to?

Napstablook: Of course, I think it's going to sound great!

MK: Yeah!

The three get ready to listen to the new track that they had created, as Napstablook adjusts the volume. Blue presses the play button and this was the track playing through their headphones.

Napstablook: Wow, it sounds great for tension, what do you think g-guys?

MK: This is quality!

Blue: This....is our masterpiece

Napstablook: Thank you for helping Blue, you too Monster Kid

MK: No problem!

Blue: You were one of the first monsters I met, so of course I would help you, really, I would help anyone. I'm going to bounce now, so I'll see the two of you later.

Blue says his goodbyes to his friends and then leave Napstablook's house, but he wasn't sure of what to do next so he decided to take a walk around.

Blue: I wonder if anything interesting will happen on this walk?

Chara: Where the hell is Frisk? She said she would be a few seconds, but it's been minutes!

Chara was currently waiting for Frisk outside a building, it was where the two of them work as ambassadors and Frisk just had to finish up something, so Chara waited outside.

But as Chara waited for Frisk, she would be confronted by someone that she hadn't met yet.

Betty: Hello......Chara

Chara: And you are?

Betty: Someone that wants....you

Chara: Are you flirting with me? Because I'm not interested in you, you're too creepy

Betty: Oh I know you don't have any interst in me, but we both are intereted in the robot. And I'm going to be taking your soul

Chara: Care to repeat that?

Chara takes out her signature red knife and points it at Betty, but she was confused when Betty was looking at her with a strange aura around her. It was something that Chara had never experienced before, and she didn't know what to do.

And that benefited Betty, as she had the time to use HATE to manipulate Chara by taking her soul.

Betty: Hehe, perfect. Now to find that robot, where could he be?

Then out of nowhere, Betty was blasted back by a metallic projectile. A figure lands opposite Chara, and that was the Fighting Cyborg himself.

Blue: Right here

Betty: Oh good, you've arrived....I've been waiting for you

Blue: Really?

Betty: Yes, know let's see how you fare against your own friend

Blue: Friend, who is she taking about Chara?

Chara turns to attack Blue with her knife, and Blue had to get out his shield, blocking the attack.

Blue: Chara?

Betty: She fights for me now, I used the power of HATE to take her soul and convert her to my side. And anyone under HATE’s control has their magic enhanced.

Blue: Why are you telling me this?

Betty: [Grins] Because you're going to have a bad time fighting her

As soon as she says that, Chara jumps back and kicks the middle of the Shield, pushing Blue far back.

Blue: She really is stronger? What is this HATE? Is it her Soul Power?

Chara sends some slash waves at Blue with her knife, and he had to block those with his Shield. He jumps back when Chara went to attack him with an aerial attack, and switches to duel gauntlets, not wanting to hurt Chara severely.

He might have the punch the HATE out of her though.....

Chara goes for consecutive powerful slashes that Blue blocked with his gauntlets, he wasn't ready to attack just yet because Chara is his friend and he wants to think first.

Blue: Will besting her in a fight stop Betty's influence on her?

Blue decided to try it and punched Chara in the stomach, the impact definitely hurt Chara and caused her to back off. Blue advances and throws more punches, switching between straight ones and hay makers.

Chara's hands and arms were in pain and she was forced to drop her guard, Blue uppercuts Chara in her chin and knocked her on her back. Blue grabs Chara's ankle and throws her away, she lands on the ground but gets up, ready to fight again.

Then Frisk decided to show up and at first, she didn't realise what was going on.

Frisk: Alright Chara, I'm done-! Blue? What are you doing here?

Blue: Chara's soul is being manipulated by Betty

Frisk: W-What?! Betty i-is here?

Betty: Hello....Frisk~

Frisk: W-Why are you doing this?

Betty: Because, I was made to make sure monsters don't know peace. But you made that happen, so now I'll kill all three of you, Chara will be spared until further notice, but she will die as well.

Blue: No one is going to die

Chara gets up and was ready to fight Blue again, but her head was in pain, she clutched it and Blue could see that her eyes were wavering.

Chara: B....Blue?

Betty: What? Is she breaking out of my control? Is that possible?

Blue: Chara....it's me, Blue. Remember when we fought, back at Judgement Hall?

Chara: I.......I-I....

Blue: Remember when I promised that I would help you find happiness?

Chara: Ha.....Happiness?

Frisk: Yes he did Chara!

Betty: Shut up! Both of you!

Betty channelled her soul power to create pink projectiles, and sent them towards Blue and Frisk. Blue jumps away from the ones that targeted him while Frisk uses her yellow soul power from the battle against Mettaton to shoot the ones that were going for her.

They exploded upon contact and Blue turned his attention back to the conflicted Chara.

Blue: I wanted to help you Chara, because I never saw you as my enemy, but I could see you as a friend. Do you remember those words? I said we were both lost, and that we could help each other. You didn't need to go down the path of genocide that you used to do.

Betty: Dammit! It's working, how?!

Betty charges in with her pink spear, and tried to distract Blue from speaking to Chara. He was prepared and blocked her attack with his shield before knocking her back with a HI Bullet from his regular cannon.

Blue: Because together....I said we can go down a new and better path for us all.

Frisk: And you did Chara!

Blue: Chara.....you're my friend

Blue's words held so much weight to them, and they were strong enough to the point that they reached Chara's soul. It was in Betty's possession, and altered by HATE, but soon her determination essence came back through Blue's words.

When Chara's soul came back, it created a shockwave that pushed Betty back. It was now free from her shackles and made its way back to Chara, freeing her.

Chara: Agh, my head....

Frisk: A-Are you okay?

Chara: Frisk? Blue?

Blue: Betty messed with your mind by taking your soul

Chara: Wait, she did? How did you get it back?

Blue: Your soul seemed to remember who I am, so it returned to you

Chara: I....didn't know it could do that

Frisk: They can, remember the many times I fought Asriel?

Chara: Oh right, you made them remember by interacting with them

Betty: Tch, great

Blue: And now I will have to interact with her....and when I mean interact, I mean beat her to the ground

Betty: Try if you must, but in the end, you will fall

Blue: I will see about that

Betty: Let's see how you get passed the second test.

Blue: A test? But I haven't revised

Betty: No need to, I'm dragging you through it~!

Betty revealed another one of her abilities, and stared right into Blue's eyes. Blue was waiting for what Betty had planned, as he wasn't familiar with Fear at all, he started to see what Betty had set for him.

At first, he saw all of the Monster Friends he made during his time in the underground. But then they morph slightly, their eyes were black holes with glowing red eyes, and they were held up like puppets, by red strings.

The strings were coming out of them, and blood followed, they would move and every time they did....their bones would snap, and they would end up disfigured.

Blue's eyes shorten, and he had a clear frown on his face, which Betty saw. She took pride in that, breaking the robot mentally wasn't an easy feat in her eyes, as he seemed stoic as ever compared to everyone else.

Betty: [Smirks] He can't break free from the illusion on his own, only I can undo it. So he is stuck here until he breaks.

Blue: It's some sort of hallucination manipulation....

Betty: Oh, well done, you know it's a trick, but do you really think that? Is your mind playing tricks on you? This could be their fates right now, and you just know it.

Frisk: Blue is experiencing a hallucination? He should be fine then, that won't stop him at all....right?

Betty: I can't show him anything beyond a certain point, It's as if he doesn't have a past.....so I'll target more people close to him!

Betty would then literally kill off the first batch of illusions before showing the children at the orphanage, alongside the caretakers. They were in a similar situation as the last Illusion and Betty started to antagonize Blue.

Betty: What's wrong robot? Can't stand what's in front of you? Does it hurt? Do you feel....fear? Sadness?

Blue:.......No?

Betty: W-W-What?

Blue: Am I meant to?

Betty: Y-Yes!

Blue: Oh....I don't think it works then

Betty: How?!

Chara: Because he can't feel emotions! Dumbass!

Betty: You can't feel?

Blue: No, but you showing me the caretakers and the children in those situations.....I don't like that

Betty: And what are you going to do about it?

Blue: I'm going to beat you to the ground

Betty rolls her eyes before undoing the illusion, she creates a pink spear again and was ready to fight Blue for real. But the two weren't the only ones ready, as a third contestant entered the fray.

Chara: That's it, I'm joining in

Blue: Are you sure?

Chara: Duh! She messed with my soul and mind, so now I have to get my payback

Blue: Fair enough

Betty: You both want to die here? So be it, and then you're next....Frisk

Frisk: Y-You don't have to do this Betty! You can live with us, and show you true peace!

Betty: There is only peace when Monsterkind is dead....

Blue: Who decided that?

Betty swaps her spear with a large, pink scythe instead, she spins it around before dashing towards both Blue and Chara. Both ready their blades, with Blue equipping them on both hands.

Blue gets in the way and puts up the cross guard, blocking a downward slash from Betty's scythe. Then Chara goes to slash her but caught air instead as Betty appeared behind her.

She was going go cut Chara from the middle, but Blue kicks Betty away before she could do it. Betty recovered on her feet easily, and smiled at the handicapped fight. She goes back in with greater speed and power.

This was her HATE Enhancement, it makes Betty more stronger and violent than normal, which Blue realised as he quickly switches to what he called his Knight Formation.

It was when his left hand turned into a Shield, and his right was a Blade, so the same thing he used in his fight against Asgore. Blue blocks a flurry of attacks from Betty, allowing Chara to attack from the side.

But Betty vanishes from her sight caught Chara with a slash.

Chara: Tch, damn you

Betty: What's wrong? Did that hurt?

Chara: Oh yeah, it did. But I can take your hits all day long

Betty: I disagree, let's see who is right

Betty was ready to charge in, but forgot about her second opponent. Blue comes in with his Shield and bashes into Betty, he pushes forward and then thrusted his Blade into her stomach, which didn't really hurt Betty.

Blue: Spoiler Alert, I'm right

Betty: About?

Blue: About how I'm going to beat you badly

Blue's blade was still lodged into Betty's stomach, so he lifts her in the air and slams her into the ground. Betty uses HATE Manipulation to push back Blue and attack him with pink tendrils, he puts his Shield up to block the oncoming attacks and watches as they bash off his defense.

But then they manoeuvre around his Shield and wrapped around his ankle.

Blue: Oh no

Betty commands the tendrils to lift Blue up and slam him to the ground, just like he did to Betty. Chara helps him out by sending a few red slash waves from her knife.

Betty was going to lift Blue and use him as a shield for the attacks, but he uses his quick thinking to change his sword to the cannon form and blast her in the face with it.

The impact of the shot stuns Betty, causing her to drop Blue to the ground. Blue flips back and crouched right before Chara's slash waves come in, they soar past Blue and strike Betty.

Blue keeps the combination going by changing to duel gauntlets and driving his right fist into Betty's stomach. Then he brings his left gauntlet up to deliver a straight punch to her face before following it up with a right uppercut from the Gods.

This blow breaks the bones in Betty's chin, and sends her slightly up in the air. Blue jumps towards her and grabs the top sides of her head with his armoured hands, and lifts his left leg up.

The knee connects with her already damaged chin and now blood was coming out of Betty's mouth. But the final blow came when Blue brings his gauntlet up in the air and lands a devastating overhand right to Betty's face.

The punch created a shockwave between them and sends Betty hurling to the ground. When the impact occured, a smoke cloud rose from the ground and forced Chara and Frisk to cover their faces.
