𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝟐: Keira - the letter
To make this short:
I got expelled.
I know, that sounds like some kind of a big deal.
Imagine one of your classmates getting expelled. Their shocked expressions and everything ... kind of cool, actually.
And yes- my classmates looked kind of shocked too, but I'm still "the new girl", so they are not hurt or anything.
Thing is: People always think I'm shy. And it's true.
Somehow.
They think I'm introverted and shy, and one of those girls that always smile. Probably because of the day I came to this school and had to introduce myself. Well, my face looked ... like someones with the personality I just explained.
But none of them knows the reason of that: The teacher I stood next to – and yes, I'm telling the absolute truth – stank like hell.
Really! She smelled like she didn't shower for a month or so. However: I just tried to ignore that, and stopped breathing through my nose, but I'm not capable of doing that, so I ended up having this terrible Shy-Girl expresssion on my face.
Only because I was trying to breathe. Somehow.
And now the shy-new-girl gets expelled because she set the chemistry lab on fire.
You know what was the best? Or, let me correct myself: WHO was the best?
Coop Richardson, the most popular boy in school. He has an ugly face, by the way, AND he stinks. Not like the teacher on my first day, but still – I hate standing next to him.
Whatever, he used to treat my like I was a two year old or something, and then they told him, that I apparently set a whole room on fire.
God, his face was just hilarious!
But I still prefer the shock of my first class ... or my second.
However, right now I'm sitting in my room, while my mom is searching for another school.
Again.
Maybe we have to move again?
I've been living in Colorado since forever. Or at least since my birth, I mean, who knows what "forever" includes?!
The doorbell rings.
"KEIRA?"
"YES?!"
"Could you open the door, please? I'm a bit busy right now, and-"
"Sure.", I sigh and stand up, walk to the door and – surprise – open it.
Well, and than I sigh AGAIN, because there's a shi- LOT of ... words in front of me!
Oh, no, wait. First, I see the letter (mood: surprised) then I take the letter (mood: still surprised) and open the couvert.
And because I'm really talented and great at everything I do, I get a Paper cut.
Dammit.
After this I see all the words and now we are back in the presence. Yay.
Dear Miss Wild,
we heard that you got expelled from Fabienne High school.
Why does it sound like someone died? So ... I don't know. Formal.
Do they wanna grieve with me, or ...? And who are "they" anyway?
And we heard, that this wasn't you first time experiencing this.
Okay, now it get's weird! Who are they and why do they know me better than my friends?
That's not hard actually, 'cause currently I don't even have any friends.
But for the record: I had friends in my old school.
That is why we would like to offer you a stipend for Alyenis High school.
Now it sounds like a normal advertisement, from a supermarket for example.
Because seriously: Why would you offer a girl like me a stipend?!
You might be surprised to hear that, but we are serious.
You can find the information you need on the next pages.
For your interview we would like to see you on the 10th of October.
Best regards,
Olivia Erlingham
Well.
That sounds interesting.
