The Kiss
Nanami's POV:
I stared at the girl as she picked up the groceries.
There was a tear in her skirt, her foot looked oddly muddy and she looked totally bewildered.
I sat back holding a few things as she gently placed some of the fruit I bought into my bag.
"Are you alright?" I asked, tilting my head to the side.
She tucked a hair behind her ear as she answered "I'm fine, I just had a really bad day." She smiled sweetly.
I smiled back and stood with my bag. The once crowded streets were now empty of people. The girl's eyes widened.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I'm (y/n) (y/l)!"
"Nice to meet you (y/n), I'm Nanami. So, how was your really bad day?" I asked, intrigued.
(Y/n) waved her hand back and forth.
"Oh no, I wouldn't want to harp on about all my troubles today!"
I laughed. "No, I really love to hear it."
She sighed and started to walk with me as I started walking.

Your POV
"Well, today my bag wouldn't zip, then I stepped into a puddle, then I went thru a short cut and got branches in my hair, then I got to school late and a kid accidentally threw a dictionary at my head...." I babbled as we walked.
Nanami suddenly stopped short after she heard all that was to be said. "Do you have a home?"
I stopped short, surprised at the question.
"Um, well yes and no. You see I'm an orphan, and I'm staying with my aunt. But she really doesn't like me because she just got rid of her son so, I guess I'm like dead weight or something." I ended with a laugh, like I didn't care, and scratched the back of my head.
Nanami gave a weirdly understanding smile.
"How would you like it if you got a home, all practically to yourself."
I gasped at her. "That would be great, but I mean where could I find th-"
I suddenly felt Nanami's lips pressed to my forehead, as she stuffed a piece of paper into my hand.
As she walked away, her sentence came floating back to me.
"Here, I'll give you my home, your more worthy of it than me. Take care of Tomoe for me."
"Tomoe?"

I septicly looked at the address on the slip of paper she gave me.
I stuffed my almost my few possessions into my duffle bag as I muttered.
"Well, I'll check out the address, it wont hurt to check it out right? Any things better than this place. If if its faulty, it's faulty."
I swung my bag over my shoulder and walked out the door, ignoring my aunt yelling "Where do you think your going at this time young lady!"
The sun was low in the sky, it was almost sunset.

Finally, I got there. I dropped my bag onto the ground in shock.
"Whoa, wait, she didn't say this was a shrine!"
I pulled the paper out of pocket and checked it.
Nope, sadly it was right. I put back my head and groaned. Well I guess I'll go anyway, I mean a shrine can't be that bad right? I mean... maybe it's like abandoned or something? Yeah.. maybe abandoned.
"Shrine, here I come!"
