Karan and Naina entered their room and he kept their luggage down. He laid on the bed closing his eyes and Naina looked towards him being confused.

"Karan you said you wanted to talk?" Naina asked.

"Yeah, I wanted to talk.. Come and sit." He replied back and she like a obedient child, did just like he said.

"So best friend?" Karan asked opening his eyes.

"What?"

"Yeah! Why I didn't know that Chirag is your best friend?" He asked.

"Because we are on the same boat! I too don't remember him Karan! And I said that downstairs also." She said getting up.

"Exactly my point Naina! You remember everything from your childhood but you don't remember Chirag!" Karan too got up from the bed.

"What are you trying to say Karan? I don't understand it."

"I am saying that there was no Chirag in your life Naina! It's just a story made by your brother Manav. He is up to something."

"Karan yaar please. Why will Manav bhai do this?" She asked.

"Because he promised that to you Naina! Because he said he will destroy you. And Chirag is just a pawn in this game." Karan replied back.

"Karan even we say many things in anger! But that doesn't meant that he will do this to us and that too at Nisha's wedding."

"He can do anything... He is Manish's son! He never stood for you when Manish tortured you. He never loved you.. So why suddenly this love? Think Naina." Karan said rubbing his hand to his head.

Naina was going to reply when they heard someone speaking.

"Umm... Sorry we didn't mean to eavesdrop but we heard everything."

They turn to see Kunal and Meghna standing there. Both came inside and looked towards them confused.

"Can we know what happened that Karan you hate Manav that much! We only know he never stood for Naina, but surely there is more we guess." Kunal said.

Naina and Karan looked at each other and she nodded her head, giving Karan the permission to tell Meghna and Kunal everything.

Karan took a deep breath and then turned towards them. "So it happened after Manish went to the jail..."

8 YEARS BACK :

Naina's House:

Naina was dusting the house along with the maid of their house. Nisha was in school leaving her alone. But now Naina was not afraid being alone.

Suddenly Manav entered the house looking all tensed and stressed out. Naina hurriedly came with a glass of water.

"What happened Maan bhai? Is everything alright?" Naina asked him while giving the glass.

"No Naina! Nothing is alright. Dad is in jail! This Karan Chauhan!! I hate this man.. Why didn't you call me? And you should have tried to stop them taking Dad with them.. They can't just blame my mom's death on him." Manav said getting frustrated but Naina didn't reply him back.

"They are not giving him bail too.. I'm not okay with this! We have to do something." Manav again said and this time too Naina didn't reply.

"What happened Naina? Why are you standing there like a statue?" Manav now said getting angry.

"Woh Maan bhai.. Even.. even I have.. helped Karan...in getting him arrested." Naina replied , her hands were sweating and head hung low.

"What the hell!! Why will you do that Naina?" Manav asked holding her arm and shaking her.

"Because..because he used to hurt me, both.. physically and mentally. And he..he killed Sandhya maa." Naina replied closing her eyes.

"He did not kill our mom Naina! He did not! It was just an accident. That's it." Manav replied leaving Naina.

"He did! He killed her.. Maan bhai he is a beast! A beast who will never become a human." Naina said getting angry this time.

"NAINA!" Saying so Manav slapped Naina hard on her cheek. She touched her cheek and tears started rolling down.

"Maan bhai!!  Please believe me." She said.

"How do you know Karan?" Manav asked.

"He...he is in my college." Naina replied sobbing.

"Call him here." Manav said calmly.

"Bhai please!"

"I SAID CALL HIM HERE NAINA!" This time Manav shouted his lungs out.

Naina slowly went and dialled Karan's number from the mobile Karan gave her one day back. It kept ringing but nobody picked it.

"He is not picking the phone."

"I don't care! Call him again." Manav said getting close and she nodded.

She again dialled his number. After a few rings Karan picked it up. Manav was also hearing it as the phone was on speaker.

"Hey sweetheart!" Karan greeted from the other side and Manav raised his eyebrow.

"Kara..karan please can you come home?"  Naina asked him.

"Naina.. What happened? Are you okay? Why are you crying?" Karan asked.

"Don't ask. Just come here please.." Naina said slowly and Karan sensed the same fear in her voice which she had few days back.

"I will be there in ten minutes. Just don't cry ok.. For me. Bye.." Karan said and ended the call.

Naina turned towards Manav to see him smirking. "So he is not only your college mate but also your soulmate haan?" Manav said and Naina stood there silently.

"A lovestory was going on behind my and dad's back when he clearly asked you to stay away from boys. This is really cheap Naina." Manav said in an angry tone.

"Maan bhai please don't say like that." Naina folded her hands in front of him.

"I will say like that Naina! You show yourself as a good little innocent girl! But from inside you don't respect your family, the people who gave you and your dumb sister roof to stay! You are a bloody selfish person!" Manav said and threw the vase which was in front of him.

"Because of you, my father is in jail! You have made me orphan. They said my dad will be hanged, my mom is no more! You destroyed my family.. I really want to destroy you.." 

Manav said and marched towards her. He again held her arms with all his power and looked towards her. Naina could see the anger in his eyes.

"What is going on here?" Karan said entering the house. Manav left Naina and looked towards Karan smiling.

"Oh we were just waiting for you Karan. Welcome to our house.. And I have to say you are really very fast.. Came in ten minutes.. Wow." Manav said coming towards him but Karan ignored him and went towards Naina.

"Naina are you okay? No need to cry.. I'm here right." Karan said hugging her and she sobbed holding him.

"She is okay Karan after destroying my family. But tell me who the hell are you to interfere in my family matter!!"  Manav roared.

"I will interfere in every matter which will include my Naina. Your father was a beast doing domestic violence and killing innocent ones and he deserve this punishment.. And you are a coward, do you have any shame?" Karan said back.

"So Karan I will surely bring my dad from jail and will rub this fact on your face."

Karan smirked and then replied back." Oh please do try.. And yeah the case will  close only if Naina takes the case back. Otherwise no chance."

Manav stood there thinking for sometime and then marched towards Naina. He held her hand and then said. "Naina come and take the case back. We will stay like earlier."

He started walking with her when Karan stopped them holding Naina's hand.

"She is not going anywhere." Karan said.

"Let Naina decide it. Naina just say him that you will take the case back." Manav said and both looked towards her.

Naina slowly freed her hand which Manav was holding.

"Sorry Maan bhai but I will not take the case back." Naina said. Karan looked towards her smiling and Manav frowning.

"Great Naina. You just showed that this boy is more important to you then us.. Okay.. So now just leave my house. You are not my sister anymore and you don't have any right in this house. " Manav said and started moving towards the stairs.

"Maan bhai please don't say like that." Naina said.

"JUST LEAVE!" Manav screamed.

Karan held Naina and started moving towards the door when they heard Manav.

"Naina stop." Hearing this, Naina turned back with hope and saw Manav smiling.

"Naina I promise that I will break you. You will never stay happy. Just count the days till your destruction. Wish you and Nisha a sad life. Now leave." He said and went upstairs.

Flashback ends.

"And then I brought Naina to our farm house where she and Nisha stayed." Karan said.

Naina's eyes were teary. Meghna held her and wiped her tears.

"That's why I was saying that Manav is upto  something. But she does not believe it." Karan said.

"I agree with Karan. We should stay aware of this Manav and Chirag." Kunal said and Naina shook her head.

"But people say things when they are angry. He didn't harm Naina or Nisha in these eight years. It can be possible that he is guilty and actually want to mend their relation." Meghna said.

"We can't say anything. It can be possible too. But we should be careful." Kunal said.

Suddenly Naina got a message on her phone. She saw that it was from Nisha. She opened it.

Naina Di Rajat is here!! Please come down ASAP!

"Rajat is here! We should go down now." Naina said to others.

"Okay.. We are leaving. Naina wash your face and come down." Meghna said they went down. Naina washed her face and came down along with Karan.

And sorry, I would have posted it earlier but because of my silliness, I deleted the whole chapter just after finishing writng it! It's just so frustrating :(
