S h o t    T h r e e

The car parked in front of the lodge. Naina and Karan came out of it. Others were already present there. Naina was back to her fresh mood and it was possible because of Karan.

Nisha saw them and came running and hugged Naina. She got confused but hugged Nisha back.

"What happened now Nisha?" She asked.

"Nothing! Just a little nervous. Rajat and his family will be arriving in another hour!" Nisha replied back.

"It's common Nisha! Just relax and take a deep breath." She said.

"Yeah Di.. Anyways Manav bhai called." Nisha said remembering it and Karan flinched back.

"What did he say?" Karan asked.

"He will be here any minute!" Nisha replied back.

Karan was going to say something but Meghna called Nisha and she went from there.

Karan and Naina went inside and sat down on the couch at reception. Karan was continuously looking outside with a angry frown on his face and Naina noticed it.

"Mister! Smile a little otherwise you will scare the guests away." Naina said trying to lighten the mood.

Karan turned towards her and his glare softened. He smiled a little and kissed her temple.

Suddenly they heard some footsteps. They turned to see Nisha and Meghnal entering there with Manav and another boy.

Unknowingly Naina held Karan's hand, her grip was tight. Karan squeezed it and she looked at him.

He smiled and mouthed 'Everything will be okay'. She nodded and got up.

Manav too noticed Naina and stopped at his place. An awkward silence covered the surrounding and everyone wanted to break it.

Finally Nisha came in front and said "Di here is Manav bhai and his friend."

Naina gave a small smile to them not knowing what to say but Manav suddenly pulled Naina into a hug.

"I'm so sorry Naina! For everything." Manav said.

"It's okay Maan bhai." Naina said breaking the hug.

Karan in meanwhile came and stood beside Naina. She relaxed a little to see Karan with her.

"I don't know why but I said all of that to you.. How can I forget that he killed my mom! I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that. Please forgive me.." Manav pleaded folding his hands.

"Bhai.. I'm not angry at you. And I have already forgiven you. You were right in your place. Just don't!" She said holding his hand.

"I want to mend our relation. And I promise this time you will not get a single chance to complain." He said.

"And I believe you." Naina said and smiled. Nisha too smiled and pulled both her sibling into a group hug.

After breaking the group hug, Naina introduced Karan to Manav. " Maan bhai, Karan here."

Manav smiled and pulled Karan into a hug too. Karan hesitated at first but hugged him back for Naina's sake.

"Nice to meet you Karan. And thanks for saving my sister and keeping her happy.. You are an amazing person." He said and Karan just smiled.

"Introduce us to your friend bhai!" Nisha said breaking the silence which was again forming.

"Oh yeah! He is Chirag.. My old friend and Naina's best friend." He said and Chirag waved his hand.

"My best friend?" Naina asked being confused and Karan started glaring towards Chirag.

"Yeah your best friend! Don't you remember him?" Manav asked and she shook her head.

"He is our friend from the time when Sharda aunty was also alive. And he moved from Jaipur one year after their death.. That will be the reason you don't remember him." Manav said.

"Oh that will be the reason." Naina said trying remembering him.

"But I still remember you.." Chirag spoke for the first time in whole conversation and everybody turned their head towards him. Karan's glaring increased and Chirag and Nisha noticed it.

"Woh... I was in contact with Manav so I didn't forget you or Nisha..That's the reason..." Chirag said to calm Karan but his glare was same.

Nisha slowly came and stood beside Karan and pulled him with her after saying 'excuse us' to all.

Taking him in a corner, she pinched Karan's hand. He winced in pain and looked towards her confused.

"Why did you pinch me?" He asked her rubbing his hand.

"It was hardly a pinch jeeju.. Don't be drama queen and that was for glaring at Chirag bhai and murdering him in your head." She replied back.

"You noticed?" He asked again.

"Chirag bhai too noticed it jeeju! Thank your stars that Di was busying in talking otherwise you would have get a slap in place of this small pinch. Anyways why was that glaring and all?"

"I don't like that boy.. He seems suspicious."

"Woah jeeju!! Just chill.. Don't let your possessiveness spoil di's mood... And Chirag bhai don't seem suspicious.. It's just in your head!"

"Even Manav seems suspicious.. And it's not in my head yaar Nishu." Karan said.

"Please jeeju its nothing and please at least behave in front of all. It does not look good... You can be Sherlock when we are alone! For my and Rajat's sake." She pleaded.

"Okay! But you know.. You both sisters are same!" He said and came back to the group.

Nisha too followed him grinning. When they came near, Karan saw Chirag was shaking hand with Naina which was way too long and it again made him flinch. Nisha mouthed 'behave' and Karan controlled himself.

"So guys... I think you all should go to your rooms before the guests arrive and it gets crowded." Nisha interrupted in between.

"Yeah I think she is right." Karan said immediately and took Naina's hand in his.

"Come Naina, we have to take the keys." He said and Naina nodded. She bid goodbye to all and they went from there.

While going upstairs Karan spoke, "Let's go Naina... You have many things to explain and we have many things to talk about."

He said without looking towards her and in a serious tone and Naina was sure that she was in trouble.

Honestly I'm not so happy with this chapter. But I don't know when I will update the next one as my school is reopening... So posted it.
