"Jonathan, what caught your wandering eye at the park earlier" Lisa asked her long time friend as she ate another one of his precious strawberries. He giggled softly and swatted her hand away, preventimg her from eating another. "The Agnelli blonde" Jonathan remarked making Lisa raise her eyebrow. "You're daring Brandis, staring dreamily at the troubled child." Lisa said with a smirk. "What trouble could staring get you?" Jonathan challenged, earning a curt laugh from his friend. "You'd be suprised" Lisa remarked.
"Besides, she was staring at me first. I only reciprocated out of friendliness" Jonathan sweetly said. "Staring is friendly?" Lisa asked. Jonathan glared at her playfully and gave her a soft shove. The failed to realize their friend Martha was listening to their conversation, the aspect of Talia adverting her attention to Jonathan frightened her. What was her plan? She opened the screen door to join them on the patio, her voice made them jump a bit.
"Plus, the fact that she was staring first show she's ready to curropt" Martha said, sitting down at the table and grabbing a piece of pineapple that was sitting out. "How do you know I won't curropt her?" Jonathan says, making Lisa choke on the strawberries. "You're suddenly bold" Martha says. "You sure you haven't spoken to her already?" Lisa said. "No never! And stop eating my strawberries Lisa" Jonathan said, taking his plate away from her and grabbing a kiwi to stuff in her face.
Lisa reacted quickly by biting his finger, earning a yelp from the boy. She grabbed a napkin and cleaned the kiwi residue off her mouth, freciously scraping the bits and pieces Jonathan left. "You're annoying, did ya know?" She said, pouting like a child.
"You're interested?" Martha asked. "She's pretty, yet I know nothing about her excluding her very public upbringing" Jonathan responded, everyone knew of that. "Despite those tradgies, she's a sweet girl" Martha said, making both of her friends widen their eyes. "You've spoken to her?" Lisa questioned, sneaking in another strawberry without Jonathan noticing. "We used to be close in elementary, then middle school happened and we stopped talking" Martha explained. Jonathan pondered a bit on the possible that existed upon Martha and Natalia, the disparity, they were so different.
"I cherished her, when no one else would or did" Martha said. Lisa whined slightly at the despondency the air around them had created. She opened and closed her mouth in awe and placed her head in her palm to rest from the overwhelming information that was suddenly presented to her. "What stopped?" Lisa asked impulsively, not craving for anymore of the strawberries but simply craving for information books strive to tell.
Martha sighed softly at her sudden confessions, her emotions seemed unbearable. "I dropped her after she frightened me, I was fearing for her because not omly wad she toxic to me but to herself." Martha cleverly but honestly said. Jonathan stared at his friend with pity, he knew not of what Natalia was capable of or the people she had affected.
"Just be careful if you wanna speak with her Jon, you know for your own well-being" Martha said. Oblivion circled Jonathan's young mind but he held a numious expression. "I promsie, maybe through it all, you two could possibly start talkin again." Jonathan offered. "Would you like that?" Lisa wholeheartedly asked Martha with beady eyes. Martha was to aspectabund to prove her stubborn dissumulation, it was a curse learned not inherited. "I truly do not know yet, only time will tell, so go ahead" Martha struggled to say but shrugged nevertheless.
Jonathan noticed her hesitant nature, yet he himself was hesitant to comment on it. Lisa diverted her eyes to both of her friends, this was confusing.
Martha tore her eyes off Jonathan and stared out the outside view. Jonathan's house was beautiful and the patio gave an exclusive view of the lakeside.
Martha stood up and stretched her porcelain limbs and leaned on the railing. "She always wanted to leave this town" Martha softly said. Lisa eyed her carefully and followed her footsteps and stood next to her.
"Is that what bothered you about her Martha?" Lisa asked genuinely. Martha sighed and turned to look directly at Jonathan. She extended her arm over the railing and pointed to the lakeside.
"She wanted to go there Jon, there indeed. Your lakeside and stay. What bothered me love was simply not her wishes to run away but how she thought of herself. She deemed herself useless and unlikable due to Vivian. Natalia was nothing like Vivian, but they have one thing in common and that is being dangerously indecisive. Listen Jon, if you are truly fond of her you'll understand. Her imaginations are dangerous not nefarious. She isn't evil, she just has inner conflict" Martha explained, Jon never understood cleverness or wit though.
"My lakeside? Is that why she's suddenly keen. What are her dreams and aspirations and what does it have to do with my lakeside?" Jonathan asked but Martha simply shook her head. "It is not me you shall discovered such information, but Talia herself." Martha soflty said, motioning her hand to the door.
"Go to her Jon, the house with the white gazebo in the front is her estate" Lisa said, making Jonathan nodd and quickly exit his own house.
Lisa breathed out slowly as she looked at Martha for a moment. "Does she like him?" She asked. "She views him as an escape" Martha said, "I know she does, because she did the same to me, she thought she could manipulate her into running with her and when my wit overpowered her she blamed not me but herself, hurt herself, she can't love, she doesn't know it" Martha said, staring at Jonathan's lakeside. Lisa nodded sadly as she picked up another strawberry and places only the tip of the red sweet in her mouth. "Only time will tell" Lisa said as she blinked rapidly in such a discrete and magical way.
