"Just sit straight, will ya?" Ashley yelled for the third time towards Maya who was squirming under her hands as she was trying to tie up her ribbons at her back.

"It tickles, Pip!" Maya shouted back.

"Done! " Ashley finished the work and was looking at her work proudly.

"My beautiful daughter!" a muffled voice came from the door and they both looked back.

"Mom!" Maya smiled.

"You look stunning, baby!" Mrs. Snow's voice was cracking in tears.

"We talked about this mom, no cry!" Maya raised her brow.

"I can't help! My baby has grown up so fast!"

Ashley handed Mrs. Snow a tissue.

"I brought you something," Mrs. Snow handed Maya a black box wiping her tears.

Maya opened it, a beautiful hairpin laid on the black velvet with such elegance.

"Mom!!..isn't it..... it's grandma's!"

"It's yours now, take care of it!" Mrs. Snow caressed her cheek lightly.

"Can you....? " Maya looked at her hairstylist.

"Yeah, sure," She took the hairpin and fixed it carefully with her curled up short hairs.

Ashley's phone rang.
She looked at it and her heart skipped a beat. It was Taehyung. It has been almost a month since she last saw him. He was busy overseas and was filming Bon Voyage somewhere in New Zealand. She came here three days ago for the wedding.

She received the call, "Hey."

"Hi," Taehyung's deep voice came through.

"Are you here already?"

"Almost. Can you come out?"

"I'll be there," Ashley put down the phone and looked back at Maya.
"They are here. I'll go get them. Get ready by then."

"I am almost done, let me just fix the dress a little," The stylist said from the side.

Ashley came out. She saw Taehyung getting down from the car. Waves of emotions rushed within her. She wanted to run towards him but restrained herself.

He was looking gorgeous in that black suit. He looked stunning and expensive. And the taller man beside him was an embodiment of elegance. Jin.

Jin came towards her. "Hi, Ash."

"Jin Oppa, thank you for making time. Maya would be very happy!"

"No big deal," Jin winked. "Besides, Someone was getting agitated lately!"

"Hyung!" Taehyung protested lightly.

"I'll let you two catch up then, lets find myself a champagne," Jin headed inside in the afternoon sun.
"By the way, you are looking absolutely beautiful. Keep an eye on him, he may trip somewhere," Jin flashed a mischievous smile.

Ashley looked at herself self consciously one more time. The dress was deep teal with black lace in high neck and long sleeves. It came down a few inches below her knees in the front and even lower in the back with a pair of thin stripped black sandal heels. Her long wavy hairs were loose and made into more wavy and bouncy this time.

The wedding was arranged in the orphanage with a very limited number of guests, including the closest people from both sides and all the little angels from the orphanage.

A very simple, outside wedding matching the taste of Maya and Troye perfectly. White curtains and white roses all around up to the alter. It was simple, yet elegant.

Ashley looked back at Taehyung, he was looking at her with wide eyes.
Ashley went towards him.

He took her hands in his and rested his forehead on her and whispered,
"God! You look stunning!"

"So I don't look good normally?" Ashley teased playfully.

" I like you without makeup more. But damn! You are going to kill me today!"

Ashley blushed at this comment.

"Don't blush," His voice was deep.

"Or what?"

"Or I am gonna do something you are gonna regret," His eyes fall on her lips.

" Ya! Pervert!" Ashley slapped him on his chest.

" You really shouldn't have worn red lipstick with this dress," Taehyung smirked.

"Kim Taehyung, are you flirting with me?"

"Why? Am I not allowed?" Taehyung grinned.

"In that case, you.." Ashley eyed him from top to bottom, "you too are gonna be my death today mister. You look gorgeous."

It was Taehyung's turn now to get flushed.

"Gosh, I missed you!" Taehyung planted a peck on her cheek.

"Me too!" Ashley dragged him inside.

Taehyung chuckled and followed her into the venue.

She handed Taehyung to Jin and rushed back to Maya. It was almost time.

"Troye will faint today," Ashley smiled seeing Maya all ready and shining with an unnatural aura around her.

" If he doesn't cry seeing me, I am done. Wedding is canceled." Giggled Maya.

"You really are something, M!" Ashley laughed.

"Look who is blushing like morning sun! Guess prince charming is already here!" Teased Maya.

There was a knock on the door," May I come in?"

It was jin.

He came in after getting the permission.

"Wow! Am I seeing the most beautiful bride, ever?" Jin smiled ear to ear.

"Jin," Smiled Maya. They came on a first-name basis a long time ago.

"You look gorgeous, Maya. He is a lucky guy indeed!" Jin came and hugged her gently.

"Thank you for coming. Couldn't expect a better gift," Maya smiled happily.

"Russel just called. His flight was delayed. He is stucked," Mrs. Snow rushed inside.

"What?" Maya panicked instantly.

"He is telling it now? Troye is waiting at the alter!" Ashley blurted out.

"I knew something was going to happen!" Maya was panicking,
"Everything was way too quiet lately!"

But Mrs. Snow was not paying attention to them. Her eyes were wide in disbelief though Maya told her that Jin was her friend. She was dragged into this rabbit hole by her daughter years ago and now she was seeing the most impossible view in front of her.

"My goodness!"

" Hello maa'm, my name is Jin. I am Maya's friend," Jin bowed and introduced himself.

"I know who you are!" she was overwhelmed by everything happening around her.
He was pulled back to reality by Maya's words,

"Mom! Why didn't you tell him to come earlier? What will happen now?"

"What happened?" Jin asked Ashley whispering.

"He is the only male cousin she has. He was supposed to walk her down the aisle," Ashley whispered back.

"What should I do?" Maya was restless.

"Stop panicking you, idiot!" Ashley slapped her hand and handed her the bouquet, "no need for any company, Not necessarily. Just walk down there by yourself. Confident and independent. It will suit you better," Ashley encouraged her.

Maya smiled weakly.

"Imagine," Ashley announced dramatically, "A lonely princess in white walking down the path covered with petals, rays of sunlight brighten the path with the breeze flowing through her loose hair and long veil. She is confident yet elegant...she is...."

"My baby!" Mrs. Snow was again in tears stopping Ashley's theatrical mood.

Ashley stopped and glared at Mrs. Snow.

"Can I?" Jin's voice took out the ultimate silence in the room.

"What?"

" Can i have the honour to walk you down the aisle?"

"Jin....." Maya started.

"Oh, was that inappropriate??" Blushed Jin. "Sorry for this sudden thing."

"I'd be honored," Maya smiled thankfully.

"Wait, really?" Jin was excited.

"Yes! Pip, tell me I am not dreaming it!" Maya was in awe.

" Just think, my face will complement  the radiance of your beauty as nothing else can do," Jin's untamed laugh echoed through the room lightening up the mood,
"God, I should charge you for it!"

"Jin!" Maya laughed, "you'll never change, will you?"

The wedding was a piece of a fairy tale. Numbers of tiny flower girls were giggling and spreading petals along the aisle while Jin walked Maya down the path. Taehyung played Piano which he was practicing the whole week along the mini-orchestra played violins and cello.

Fistful of guests and countless children were smiling along the walk. After the vow have been uttered, Ashley saw Maya crying. Troye held her tight as they were pronounced man and wife.

It was night when all the things had been settled down and the first dance was done. Ashley was watching the newlywed couple dance with the music contently when she felt a slight tap on her shoulder.

She was greeted with a bright smile of Taehyung, "Ms. Ruth, Can i have this dance with the most beautiful girl in the house?"

"More beautiful than the bride?" Ashley teased smiling.

"What bride? I see no other girl except you!" Taehyung frowned intentionally.

"well, Mr. Kim...."

Taehyung winked, "can I have your hand for this dance, milady?"

"You can my lord," Ashley winked back smiling.

Taehyung took her hand and lead her towards the garden beside, away from the dance floor, under the dimly lit tiny lanterns on the tree.
He wrapped her arms around his neck while he rested his hands on her waist.

"I can't dance, you should know," smiled Ashley.

" Good for you, cause i can." Taehyung chuckled and moved slowly with the rhythm leading Ashley on.

"These heels are killing me," Ashley winched as she stepped on.

"Get rid of them," Taehyung suggested.

Ashle stepped out of the shoes as he suggested and felt the cold grass under her feet.

"This feels good!" Ashley sighed in relief.

Taehyung scooped her even closer and lifted her on his feet as he swayed with the music.

"Well, this is cheesy!" Ashley giggled.

"I watched it in so many romantic movies. I have wanted to do this since forever," Taehyung grinned.

"I am not that light. You'll hurt your feet!" Ashley said in concern.

"Relax, I am enjoying this," Taehyung mumbled lightly.

"Bet you are!" Ashley teased but didn't try to get down either.

"Thinking of it, It's not less than a movie. And you are the lonely princess every prince would throw them in your feet for your hand,"
Taehyung giggled.

"You are quite a flirt today, aren't you?" Ashley buried her face in his chest.

"This is nice," Taehyung moved his hands upwards to her back and practically they were just hugging each other while swaying with the music.

"I don't know when again I can hold you like this!" Taehyung sniffed and smiled against her hair. "The autumn sun is still here."

"Let's stay here, forever," Ashley mumbled.

Time flew by just them being in each other's arms and moving slowly.

Later that night, when Maya and Troye were off to their honeymoon, Jin said goodbye to Ashley as Taehyung said he'd come back to the hotel later after he drops Ashley at her home.

Ashley collected her bike from Nana's office.

The guests saw them riding a bike around, a loosely tied and folded sleeved boy and a barefooted girl with shoes in her hand and a jacket suit around her shoulders.

" Aren't they adorable?" Mrs. Snow asked Mrs. Simpson beside her.

"My Little Bow Pip finally found someone, I am beyond happy for her. That boy!" Sighed Mrs. Simpson.

"Kim Taehyung," Smiled Mrs. Snow remembering his name. "Never thought I'd see him close to someone close to mine! Life is indeed mysterious!"

She smiled as Ashley waved bye towards them and the bike disappeared behind the front gate.

"You could have gone with Jin Oppa. I'll worry until you get there safely," Ashley mumbled against Taehyung's shoulder.

"I'll get a cab, don't worry." Taehyung reassured her, "It's just 9 PM, I'll call an uber."

"When will you return to Korea?"

"I don't know. When will you?"

"In a few days...got some works in the orphanage."

"When will I see you again?"

"When you'll come back. I'll be there you know."

Taehyung made a hum in response. He didn't want this time to end. The night was chilly and clear with the whispery blowing wind kissing his hair strands.

His heart was revolting against his will. He didn't want to leave this early, after the most beautiful evening with her.

They reached her cottage not long after.

"I'll.....I'll just head back then," Taehyung tried to smile.

" Wanna come in for a drink? Hot choco, i mean." Ashley stuttered a little, expecting him to not leave this early. They just got together after a month.

" No, thank you," Taehyung chuckled, "It's probably the best idea to go on my way. I'll call you."

Ashley handed him his jacket suit and smiled disappointedly,
"Have a safe trip. I love you Tae."

"I love you too," Taehyung leaned in to take her in for a kiss. He headed back before this goes too far. Ashley just stood there to see him go along the driveway and stopping a cab.

The scene was getting blurred with her eyes tearing up as her heart was aching, she tried to console herself saying that was ok, he has works to do.

But before she knew, she called him back, "Tae?"

Taehyung heard a sudden hurried footsteps behind him and turned around instantly just before Ashley threw herself at him. He instantly wrapped his arms around her slender frame and lifted her in momentum.

He gestured the cab to go away after putting her down and pulled her closer. His heart was racing with the sudden surge of emotions. Like he was waiting for her to call him back.

He heard mumbles against his chest,
" Stay."

"Ash?" he called her.

Ashley looked up to meet his eyes,
"Don't go,"  Her whisper was drowning under her tears.

"Ash?" Taehyung again asked.

"Stay with me tonight." Her eyes were pleading. " I...I......"

Taehyung pulled her into an ardent kiss.

They didn't know when and how they came upstairs. When Ashley removed his jacket between the kisses, Taehyung stopped her hands fidgeting on his button, " Ash...."
His hand was caressing her cheek slightly, "Are you ok with this?"

"Are you? Am I rushing things?" Sudden panic of insecurity and embarrassment rushed through Ashley's eyes, fingers released his buttons at once.

Taehyung grabbed her hands and  again pulled her closer and kissed her with urgency, " This should answer your question just right."

[ waiting on someone to wake up in a hospital bed in a waiting room is when time runs the slowest.......Its nerve-wracking and writing can be a beautiful distraction.........so, here I am!  With another one irregular update!
Sometimes I envy you guys who are blessed with an enjoyable life. Enjoy it to the fullest and don't keep any regrets, cause you know, YOLO... 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
