Chapter one: New home.
Before we start the story I'd like to say that I am not the best writer. This is the first story that I'll try to complete so some bits might be a bit of a mess. Due to this, I'd like you leave behind any criticism and feedback that you might have. I love getting feedback and I'd almost defiantly try to take it into my work. Anyways hope you enjoy.
"Here we go, not bad ey?" Said Mary's father looking up at their new home. It was a simple apartment, though very cozy. When they walked in they were met with a very nicely decorated living room. There were warm grey walls; a beige rug; two hanging lamps from the ceiling; a red couch opposite a fireplace with a flat screen TV at top and big windows. Mary's dad looked at his daughter and placed his hand on her head, she flinched.
"What do you think sweetie?" Asked her dad, awaiting for her response. She looked around again, taking in the new surroundings. She sighed and gripped onto her suitcase harder before letting loose. She turned to her father and responded with a weak smile,
"Looks great dad."
He rubs her head again before gesturing her to follow him. They walk past a vase with a tall plant in it, the vase was by a long staircase, covered again in the same beige rug. They creep slowly up the stares and walk through the empty corridor up until they reach a red door. Her dad places his hand on the knob and turns it. He speaks up,
"Mary, this is your room"
He pushes the door open revealing a fairly average sized room. It had a small window with purple curtains. There was a small bed with a white duevet decorated in mandala of green patterns. It wasn't very decorated but pretty nice.
"I know it isn't decorated yet but we'll furnish it later I promise," chuckled her father, scratching the back of his head embarrassed . He turns away from the room and grabs the doorknob; before leaving the room he says in a sweet and soothing tone,
"Get yourself settled, I'll unpack and prepare dinner, I love you"
He shuts the door leaving Mary standing in the middle of the room, left with her own thoughts and a suitcase she was clenching with her frail boney fingers.
