Chapter 13 : Little Walk At Night

I came back to the common room as soon as I was ready. He was already there. He was wearing Jeans, and another tight shirt, letting me see his muscular torso. He had a sort of cloack in his left hand.

"I'm..ready." I said.

"Can see that." He replied, smiling. He came towards me, and put his cloack around us. "Invisibility cloack." He explained. We were close to each other as we both had to fit under the cloack. He was holding the cloack above us. His arm touched my back, sending shiver up and down my spine. We went through the portrait hole. We walked the corridors in silence. We had nearly reached the door when Filch's cat walked past us. We stopped. The cat meowed. "Shit" Harry and I said together. We started walking fast towards the door. I opened it as Harry was holding the cloack. We rushed outside. The door shut. I began to laugh. Harry soon joined me.

We walked. When we were far enough from the castle, Harry took the cloack off. I felt a lot colder without him near me.

"That bloody cat! Always there when you don't want him to be." I heard Harry say half laughing.

"I reckon you wandered a lot in the castle at night, this cat being so interested in you." I laughed.

"You have no idea."

"Did I use to do it?" The question had escaped my mouth with no warning.

He looked at me.

"You did it too. A lot last year from what you told me."

"Not before the war? Not just to laugh, or... Something like what we are doing now?"

He stared at me for a minute.

"We used to do that together."

I suddenly felt bad. I must have lived so wonderful moments before, and I couldn't even remember them.

"I wish I could remember."

"So do I." He looked sad. It then hit me. Maybe I wasn't the only one suffering from this. What about those who love me? My family? My friends? Harry? How could I be that selfish? How could I see only my pain, without thinking of theirs? I didn't even remember my mum. I didn't even remember anyone. Everything they had lived with me, everything we had shared, I didn't remember anything. There was nothing left. Nothing.

"I'm sorry."

"What?" He said, startled.

"I'm sorry that I'm not really there, that I don't even remember anyone. That I only see my problem, my pain. I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault. I should have protected you. I should have...."

"No it's not your fault..." I whispered.

We stayed there in silent.

"Do they hate me?" I asked.

"How could they? You are their daughter, little baby sister, friend... everyone loves you. It is not your fault. No one blames you. Of course it hurts everyone that... you don't remember anything...but what can we do?" I didn't know what to say.

"Does it hurt you?" We were looking in each others eyes.

I bit my bottom lip as I felt myself shudder in the cold night. He came closer to me, making me feel much warmer.

"Ginny..." He whispered. His voice saying my name made me shiver.

We were becoming closer to each other when we heard a loud noise coming from behind us.

"What was that?" We both asked.

Harry walked towards the place where the noise came from. He was approaching a bush when, all of the sudden, a few birds flight away as fast as they could, followed buy a shrieking cat, making both Harry and I bend down. We began to laugh.

"Come with me." Harry told me. I followed him.

Everything was beautiful. The stars and the moon were shining brightly. The wind was blowing in the trees. Yet the only thing my eyes would concentrate on was him. His hair was even messier than it usually was. He was everything I seemed to be able to see.

" Where are we going? I asked after a few moments.

"Somewhere we- you used to come a lot."

"I reckon we went there together." I smiled.

"Just a few times." He said. I could feel irony in his voice. I laughed.

A few seconds later, we arrived at a lake. It was truly -

"Beautiful." I whispered.

"Happy that you still like it."

"I love it."

The moon was reflecting on the water. I kneeled on the bank of the lake. My hand slid on the cold water.

Harry kneeled down beside me. I splashed water on his face when I realised that he had actually did the same. I screamed in surprise and we burst out laughing. We stood up to walk when my feet slipped. I thought I was about to fall in the ice cold water but two arms caught me. I felt shivers on all my skin. That's when I realised that I had also wrapped my arms around his neck as a reflex. I cleared my throat awkwardly as I tried to stand on my feet correctly.

"Hum.. thank you." I said as he released me.

"..my pleasure." He said, his lips curled into a cute smile. I coudn't help but smile too.

The sun was beginning to rise, as some light was reflecting in his emerald eyes.

"I think we should go." He proposed.

"Yeah, if Hermione wakes up before I'm back, she gonna ask me questions for hours." I said. Harry laughed.

"That's so Hermionish"

We talked until we reached the castle. Harry took his cloack, and threw it on us, and came behind me.

We tried to be discreet. We had no problem before we reached the sixth floor corridor. We were quietly walking when Mcgonagall showed up at the end of the corridor. I stopped, Harry bumped into me and was about to ask why I stopped when he saw her. He grabbed my arm and lead me to the small corridor just behind us. Bad idea. Just there was Filch. Blimey! What were they doing, up at ...nearly 6 in the morning? Filch was coming in our direction. The corridor being very narrow, I lead Harry back to where we were, but we nearly bumped into Mcgonagall. We quickly went back to the small corridor. Filch was coming towards us again. I didn't know what to do. If we were caught like that we would have detention for at least every week end during three months.

We were still in the middle of the little corridor when Harry grabbed me and pushed me against the wall. His body was pressed agaisnt mine so Filch could pass without bumping into us. My head was against his torso. I felt his chest slowly moving. I felt his breathing in my hair, and his wonderful scent made me feel perfectly safe. I could have stayed that way forever.

I didn't even see Filch walking past us. All I could feel was Harry.

"Woooo" I heard him say. "That was close."

I looked up at him.

"Yeah. We nearly got caught. We would have earned detention for... for..."

"For ever... ever .. ever.." He said joking.

I laughed.

"We really should go b-"

"Is there someone here??" Asked the voice of Perrin, the DADA teacher.

Harry and I looked at each other.

"Run." I heard Harry say as he took my hand and we ran away as fast as we could. The cloack was in Harry's hand and I'm sure Perrin had spotted us. But I really didn't care. We arrived out of breath at the portrait hole.

"GOLDEN ONION!" I shouted. We rushed in the common room, and with just a look at each other, we burst out laughing. I had tears in my eyes from laughing.
